Causes of Low BP, Headache post Salaine Intake
I was suffering from loose motion, vomiting, dizziness yesterday then I took salaine after that fever occurs and BP got too low.....and headache occurred too....why?
Surgical Gastroenterologist
Answered on 6th Aug '24
You probably experienced dehydration. This means your body lacked enough water and minerals. Loose motions and vomiting can lead to fluid loss. Drinking saline solution may help replenish fluids, but it could potentially cause fever due to an allergic reaction. Dehydration might also cause low blood pressure or headaches. Consuming water and resting can alleviate dehydration symptoms.

Having loose motions from some days.
Female | 20
Experiencing loose motions for a few days can be challenging. It means you're going to the bathroom more often, and your stool is watery. This can happen due to infections from germs in food or water. To stay safe, drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. Eating plain foods like rice can help calm your stomach. If the condition persists, it's best to consult a gastroenterologist for advice.

I’m a 22 year old woman and I’m always feeling pain in my upper belly
Female | 22
You might be having some stomach problems. The pain you get in your upper belly probably means that you are suffering from stuff like heartburn or indigestion. These are the moments when the stomach's digestive acids harass the lining of the stomach or esophagus and damage happens. Try eating small amounts and not eating spicy or fatty foods. If the pain continues or gets worse, visit a gastroenterologist.

Mother age around 82yrs loose motions problem past two' days
Female | 82
Loose stools in an elderly person can be caused by various factors such as infections, diet transitions, or drugs. Detecting for other symptoms like dehydration, fever, or severe stomach cramps is essential. Fluids like water or broth are valuable in order to replenish the body with liquid. Soft foods can also be a relief. In case it continues or gets worse for over a couple of days, get the proper checkup to diagnose and treat the issue be that as it may. You may consult a gastroenterologist for more treatments.

hi doctor yesturday onwads i got continuos diarrhea
Female | 14
Diarrhea is a common ailment that can be either infection-related, food-induced, or medical conditions concerned. Pay attention to the amount of fluid you’re drinking and eat foods that won’t exacerbate your symptoms. You might consider going to a gastroenterologist if your diarrhea continues more than a few days.

I feel something breathing in my lower stomach
Female | 30
You feel a strange movement in your belly, and it's a bit frightening. However, it might be normal body processes occurring. Your intestines could be moving gases through them. Alternatively, muscles contracting can cause that sensation. Consuming meals quickly or certain foods can trigger this feeling. To find relief, try taking smaller bites, sipping water, and eating gentle foods like rice or bananas. Visit a gastroenterologist if the problem persists.

Can i take probiotics capsules with liver syrup?
Male | 27
You can usually take probiotic capsules along with liver syrup. Probiotics add beneficial bacteria for gut health, while liver syrup supports liver function. Taking both may help maintain a well-balanced gut, but it's best to take them at different times of the day to ensure they work effectively. Always follow the directions on the labels for the best results.

I'm 17 years old girl and I have bloating for past 6 days and I had experienced abdominal pain, cramps like menstruation but I don't have menstruation that time, and I had fever, what should I do? Why I have this?
Female | 17
Based on what you've shared, the bloating, cramps, and fever could be due to an intestinal infection, making you feel unwell. Drink plenty of water, rest, and try light foods like plain rice or toast. If your symptoms continue, it's best to visit a gastroenterologist for proper treatment.

I have fatty liver and my gamma is 150U/I and i have fever from about 6 days i am suffering from pain in stomach and tummy and now my stool color is green what should i do ?
Male | 32
You have informed me that your high gamma level together with the fatty liver, fever, stomach pain, and green stool color can be a sign of a liver-related issue. This could be a result of a malfunctioning liver. The best approach is to have plenty of rest, consume ample water, and avoid spicy or fatty foods. See a gastroenterologist as soon as possible for further evaluation and treatment.

I have been having discomfort in my right lower abdomen for 3 weeks. When it started, I woke up with abdominal pain and went to breakfast, but during it I could barely keep from throwing up. All that day I felt a little nauseous and my stomach hurt on sudden movements (also my stomach made noises). The next day the pain became more constant and intensified. I could not straighten up without pain in my lower abdomen. That day I went to the doctor with a suspicion of appendicitis. I was palpated, but was told that it was not clear exactly and told to come back the next day. The next day the pain was less, the doctor palpated me again and I had an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that I had an enlarged kidney bowl and lymph nodes. I was admitted to the hospital but did not know which department (first they wanted to put me in urology but in the end they put me in the infectious diseases department for some reason). Also, the blood tests when I first came to the hospital had elevated white blood cells. I was discharged after 2 days and have been home for 3 weeks now (I have been on a diet and drinking 1.5 litres of water a day not counting tea) but the discomfort in my right lower abdomen sometimes returns
Male | 14
Your symptoms could be caused by various factors. Although appendicitis was initially suspected, your diagnosis seems unclear. The enlarged kidney and lymph nodes seen in the ultrasound could suggest urinary or infection-related issues. With your ongoing discomfort, it's advisable to follow up with your gastroenterologist for further evaluation.

I'm getting heavy bleeding in poop after eating hostel food....when I'm in home I don't have any problem....if I shift to hostel.... everytime I'm facing this issue
Female | 26
A likely cause of the bloodiness in pooping after hostel food could be an eating change or food intolerance. It is suggested to undergo consultation with a gastroenterologist to be able to make an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

I am 19 and I had surgery 8 days ago and had to go on oxy. i’ve stopped taking it about 4 days ago. For the past 8 days i haven’t been able to poop. I have to go very bad but every time i do it’s too painful to pass and i have to suck it back up. i took 4 stool softeners yesterday and 1 the day before. I have to go really bad but i’m not sure what to do and i’m scared to because it hurts so bad
Female | 19
You’ve been struggling with constipation since your surgery and taking painkillers. Pain medication can slow things down in your body which causes constipation. I’m glad you took stool softeners but also try drinking more water, eating lots of fibre such as fruit and vegetables, or doing a little bit more exercise. If it doesn’t help, visit a gastroenterologist.

My mother of age 64 has problem in breathing while swallowing saliva ,eating spicy foods, etc and also sometimes for the smell of chillies while frying.what should we do as a first aid at that moment of time?
Female | 64
This could be because of a condition called dysphagia, which is the difficulty in passing food down the throat. She could opt for taking in smaller sizes and try her best to keep away from hot foods. Water is also another good option. In case the condition persists, she should visit a gastroenterologist for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Male | 34
You're dealing with diarrhea - that's loose, watery bowel movements. Causes range from infections to food intolerances or stress. Your tummy ache is likely cramps from diarrhea. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Eat bland foods like rice and bananas to soothe your stomach. Rest up, and avoid spicy/fatty food. If it persists over a week, see a gastroenterologist.

I am having a stomach ache since one year. Symptoms are - gas , vomiting feeling, appetite losing, headache, and nothing else . I have done many examination and test and fortunately all are okay and good. So how can i cure this stomach ache permanently?
Female | 14
Stress or certain foods may cause stomach issues. Try tracking what you eat to pinpoint problem foods. Relaxation techniques like deep breaths, meditation, or gentle exercise could help reduce stress. Eat smaller meals more often, and drink plenty of fluids. However, if symptoms worsen or persist, consult a gastroenterologist.

I 37 years of age. I wanted to ask, i usually experience motion sickness when i travel. So i do take meds to ease up the nausea. Last week i went to get my normal meds over the counter coz am to travel next week. The pharmasist adviced me i take dulcolax 5mg a day or 2 before i travel to clean out my bowels as he said it will reduce the nausea. Please advice coz i dont want to take the medicine and it ends up interfering with my trip. I also have a case of haemorrhoids so
Female | 37
Motion sickness can be defined as nausea and dizziness when one travels. The phenomenon can be caused by the confusion in the brain between the signals sent. Motion sickness meds are usually taken. However, Dulcolax is a laxative intended to be used for constipation treatment, not motion sickness. It may result in cramping and diarrhea. It is crucial to refrain from any other drugs and consult a gastroenterologist.

Pain in lower abdomen having cough
Female | 18
This could be multiple health problems like a urinary tract infection or a lung strain from chronic coughing. The pain can also arise from gas or difficulty in the movement of the bowel. Drinking water is the best way not to get it. Eating fiber-rich foods and resting is important. Go to the gastroenterologist at once when you feel the pain or get worse.
