Why am I experiencing prolonged loose motions?

To feel better, use over-the-counter creams or sit in warm water (sitz bath) several times a day. More fiber intake can be really beneficial as well.

Timely medical assistance is necessary to find out the correct cause and to treat it. Infections can be treated with antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. 

Sometimes when the food goes down the wrong way it gets stuck in the throat. If you can breathe and cough this means that the airflow is not obstructed. You can try this method: drink a bit of water to help flush the rice down. Do not swallow big gulps as this may lead to more choking interventions. Small sips are recommended and you should keep coughing to remove the dirt from your throat. Get medical care if the problem continues or confirms you have a more serious illness.
