You may have a condition called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which is common in young women and can cause irregular periods, enlarged ovaries, and other symptoms like the ones you mentioned. It's good that you consulted a doctor and took the necessary tests. Since your periods have not yet started after finishing the prescribed tablets, I recommend revisiting your gynecologist. They can provide further guidance and possibly adjust your treatment plan.

My period is late for about 4 days... I use pregnancy kit ,but it showd negative...wen should I take HCG BLOOD TEST...HOW MANY DAYS AFTER I SHOULD TAKE IT
Female | 31
You can wait a few more days before considering a blood test for pregnancy. Home pregnancy tests detect pregnancy hormones (hCG) in your urine, but the levels might not be high enough to register immediately after a missed period.

I missed my periods for 1month (that is in march) and i had intercourse in April and i took ipill till now i didnt get periods

Delayed periods happen sometimes. Stress, weight changes, hormone issues, or emergency contraception can cause this. If no period in a few weeks, take a pregnancy test. You can also visit a gynecologist.

I'm 27 year old female,I got married in April 2023 , I got my periods in 28 days but from the 6 months I will get between 30 to 35 days , is it normal or should I consult doctor and I put on weight (93kg)
Female | 27
It’s normal for your periods to change a bit after marriage. Stress or weight gain due to different lifestyles can affect your cycle. Having irregular periods could be because of these. If you’ve gained some weight, it may be a factor. Doing exercises to lose some weight and eating healthier may help in regulating the period. However, if it persists, seek further advice from a gynecologist.

Hello, I am a 52-year-old woman who underwent abdominoplasty 5 days ago and I am currently using enoxaparin daily. Unfortunately, my menstrual period has also started and I am bleeding heavily. Is there any medicine that I can use to reduce the bleeding?
Female | 52
This can occur for several reasons. The enoxaparin medication may also lead to increased flow. To help manage it, consider taking ibuprofen, an over-the-counter pain reliever. It can reduce bleeding volume. However, always consult your gynecologist or surgeon first. .

I had protected sex but still took and ipill will I be pregnant? and I'm having fever after ipill
Female | 17
If you had protected sex and took an emergency contraceptive pill like iPill, your chances of getting pregnant are lower but not zero. It's normal to experience side effects like fever after taking the pill, usually due to hormonal changes. Rest, drink plenty of fluids, and take fever-reducing medication if needed. If the fever persists or you have other concerns, it's best to consult a gynecologist.

My mother is in her perimenopause state and her periods are lasting till more than 2 months and recently she's facing heavy period flows. So my question is till how much time did her heavy flow stop or is there any medication regarding this because there is many functions are to attend.
Female | 47
When perimenopause is happening, periods can be unstable. Heavy flow that is more than a week should be attended to by a gynecologist without hesitation. These may be due to a hormone imbalance or other problems. The pill is a medicine that can be used to control the flow. Your mother should be encouraged to drink lots of fluids and to get plenty of rest during this period.

I am just 19. I am having clear white liquid from my right breast only on squeezing my nipples. I am not finding any redness or pain or anything, just that fluid when I am squeezing my breasts
Female | 19
Nipple discharge, a clear white liquid coming out when you squeeze your nipple, is what you're facing. Hormone changes like during periods often cause this. However, keep an eye on it. If it persists or changes occur, talk to a gynecologist; they'll advise you the best.

I am 27 year female and my periods are regular but for only 2 days with no clot no pain no cramps Is this a concern??
Female | 27
It's good that your periods are regular, but having a flow for only 2 days could sometimes indicate a hormonal imbalance or other underlying issues. It's best to consult a gynecologist to ensure everything is normal. Regular check-ups can help address any potential concerns early.

Sometimes taking emergency contraceptive pills like Unwanted 72 can make your period come late, this is normal. Anxiety and stress also play a role in postponing periods. Give your period a week or more, it should show up.

I am 3 month pregnent.today suddenly i feel pelvic pain whole day this pain comes only few seconds but it hurt. Please tell me is my baby is safe??
Female | 21
Pelvic pain in pregnancy is quite normal. The ligaments may stretch in your belly to make room for the space to be filled by the growing baby which causes it to happen. These sudden pains usually do not cause any problems. Nevertheless, if the pain is strong or is accompanied by bleeding, it is better to contact your gynecologist.

I am 22 years old and I get my periods twice in a month and I also have brown discharge before my periods start
Female | 22
Menstruating twice a month and experiencing brown discharge before periods might be the result of hormonal disturbances or issues related to your ovary. You may also experience cramps, mood swings, and being tired. A gynecologist is the one who will diagnose your condition and start you on the right treatment.

I am 23 years old I was suppose to see my menstruation flow this week but it came the first day with a very light Flow and actually stopped few hours later when it's stopped it didn't flow again but instead brown watering discharge that has odor keeps coming out I actually did a pregnancy test which came out negative So what could be the problem
Female | 23
It looks like you could have abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). This can be caused by many things such as hormone imbalances, stress, or certain drugs. The light flow followed by brown discharge might mean old blood is coming out. I’m glad that you took a pregnancy test which came back negative ruling in pregnancy. My advice would be to keep track of your symptoms and talk to a gynecologist about them for further evaluation and guidance.

I recently turned 20 years old, since then I have had changes in my period. Like I have a heavier flow, more cramping .This morning I got my period I am having painful cramps, light headedness and even nausea. Is it normal and what can I do to ease the nausea and cramping
Female | 20
Experiencing difficult period symptoms are common as you get older. The flow becoming heavier and cramps worsening could indicate hormonal changes. Painful cramps, feeling lightheaded, and nausea often accompany periods too. Ginger tea or small, bland snacks may ease nausea. For cramps, try using a heating pad on your lower belly or taking ibuprofen. Stay hydrated and rest well. If symptoms persist or worsen severely, consult a gynecologist for advice.

Irregular menstrual cycles can be caused by various factors, including hormonal imbalances, stress, or conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Symptoms may include weight fluctuations and acne. It's positive that medication helps regulate your cycle. However, it's crucial to identify the underlying issue. I recommend scheduling a visit with a gynecologist who can perform necessary evaluations and discuss treatment options tailored to your needs.
