Experiencing White Discharge - Could It Affect Fertility?
I'm Buhle Mahlangu 22 years old , I'm having white discharge without a smell I been trying to be pregnant so what do I do now?
Gynecologist
Answered on 17th July '24
The white discharge you notice isn't unusual. It's normal for women's bodies to have this kind of discharge. This discharge helps clean the body. You might see it when you're ovulating or nearing your period. Don't worry about it unless the discharge changes color, smells strange, or comes with itchiness or pain. If those things happen, see a gynecologist.

Hi, I want to know adnexal cyst can be treated with surgery only or can it be resolved with any medicine or by its own without treatment. Dr. Has given voltrel, cefixim and trypsin tablets for 5 days and CA- 125 test is been awaited. Pls suggest advice.
Female | 16
Adnexal cysts are sacs filled with fluid. They're located close to the ovaries. Some cause pelvic pain, bloating. Others don't show any signs. Surgery may remove big or painful cysts. But many small ones go away without treatment. Medicines like yours might ease symptoms. Your gynecologist will guide you based on your situation. It's wise to await the CA-125 test results to learn more.

I am suffering from bartholin cyst and now it's been a couple of months the cyst is not disappearing properly and it's become tiny in size and doesn't not causing any pain and irritating so is it severe should I be concern
Female | 22
Don't worry if your Bartholin cyst has shrunken and stopped aching. It indicates it's getting better. These cysts can persist but often resolve naturally. Keep the area clean and avoid excessive touching. However, if pain or growth resumes, consult a gynecologist.

I have taken Regesterone tablet to prepone my periods, but it’s seven days now, and I did not get my period till now
Female | 28
The calculation could be correct: if you are under stress, hormonal imbalances, or other underlying issues, your period could be late. Regesterone can also be the cause of late menstruation in some cases. If the period doesn't come early, ask a gynecologist for more advice and guidance.

me and my boyfriend have an amazing sex life but recently my vagina is really tight and it hurts to have sex, the pain started last week and till today it hurts. we can only have sex once and thats it. its an uncomfortable pain
Female | 18
It is quite usual to experience some discomfort during intercourse but prolonged pain should be checked out. Tightness and aching during intercourse could be a symptom of a medical problem such as vaginismus or a pelvic infection. I recommend you to visit to a gynecologist to get the right diagnosis and proper treatment.

I have taken unwanted72 on 1st march and light bleeding ol 9 march for 2 days.on 17 it was my period date and i didn't got my periods yet.when will my periods come?
Female | 24
It's quite normal for this type of pill to affect your menstrual cycle a bit. The light bleeding on March 9 was likely caused by the pill. Sometimes periods get delayed after taking it, so your next one might come later than usual. However, if your period still hasn’t arrived in a few more days, it’s a good idea to speak with a gynecologist. These temporary cycle changes can happen with emergency contraception, but everything should normalize soon.

Fibroid 15x8mm and constipation problem backpain during period
Female | 41
Having a small fibroid, about the size of a grape, can make it hard to poop and cause back pain, mainly when you have your monthly period. Eating lots of foods with fiber and drinking water helps with hard poops. You can also talk to your doctor about ways to treat the fibroid if it makes you feel bad.

hello i had my periods 4 days ago i was spotting at first but after 2 hours i was bleeding light and on the second day i was having clots but less clots as compared to normal and today is the fourth day and my periods are done . is it normal ? am i pregnant?
Female | 19
Changes in periods happen. Less heavy flow, clots, spotting is quite typical. Your 4-day period seems normal, not a pregnancy sign. Stress, hormones, and new eating habits cause shifts. But if other weird stuff pops up or worries arise, don't hesitate - check in with a gynecologist.

Female | 26
You haven't had a period since January, and your blood test is negative. This can be puzzling. Yesterday's light pink discharge could happen due to hormonal shifts, stress, or even pregnancy. It's wise to consult a gynecologist. Make an appointment to discuss these symptoms. They'll guide you properly.

I AM 15 Weeks pregnant and my TSH Harmone is 3.75 is it normal or I have required medicine
Female | 30
When you are 15 weeks pregnant, the TSH level at 3.75 is a minimally higher value than the ideal range for pregnancy, but it remains on the safer side. So if you are not at the stage of subclinical disease, this parameter indicates that your thyroid is not far from the ideal range for pregnancy.

Hi, good day Last month I visited my aunt, used the toilet at her place, the toilet was awful Two days later I started feeling this light itch in my vagina, labia majora It continued the itch became worse and I even noticed a discharge I went to the pharmacy and bought fluconazole After taking the dose the discharge stopped and the itching reduced a great deal But then I exhausted the tablet I think I took it for five days I felt the infection was gone though I still had a bit of an itch... Afterwards my period came and during the course of my period I experienced no itch but after I was done with my period the itch returned, though not as it was before I started taking fluconazole, just that I get the itch from time to time I've not had sexual intercourse before (penis in vagina).
Female | 18
You might have yourself a yeast infection. Yeast infections can result in itching and unusual discharge. These occur when there is an imbalance between good and bad bacteria in the vagina. This can be caused by taking certain drugs or being in a wet place such as using a dirty toilet. Buy some anti-fungal creams or tablets from your local pharmacy. Another thing you could do is wear cotton underwear more often because they’re breathable fabric and practice good hygiene so that this doesn’t happen again.

Hello mam I'm 18 years old and I had my first sexual Intercourse yesterday with condom protection, and this is before 1 and half week of my period, and during the process there was no ejaculation from him, so are there any chances for me to get pregnant?
Female | 18
Even if you use a condom, there's still a small chance of pregnancy if there was contact between the genitals. But, if the ejaculation was avoided, the chance is very low. So, nothing to worry about if you're late at times in your periods. A physical examination and pregnancy test after a week or so will be useful for a positive result to confirm that you are pregnant or not.

i had sex 3 months ago and i have got my periods 2 times and in this month my periods are delayed by 10 days. so what's the problem
Female | 20
It's normal for periods to be slightly irregular, especially after sex. Having had periods twice since then means everything is likely fine. Stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances can delay periods. Take care of yourself by eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, and staying active. If you're still worried, take a home pregnancy test to ease your mind. Don't worry too much, but if your period continues to be delayed, visit a gynecologist for advice.
