Your spouse likely has a polyp in their nose, a small growth. Allergies, infections, or irritation often trigger these. Difficulty breathing and runny noses can occur. Saline sprays and humidifiers provide relief. For serious cases, a dermatologist may suggest medication or surgery to eliminate the polyp.

Hair loss can occur due to several reasons like stress, bad diet, or genetic factors. The signs of it are thinning hair or bald patches. To help your hair grow back, try eating a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, reduce stress, and use gentle hair care products. It can be a slow process, but hair may recover with careful treatment and perseverance!

Hi sir, My self prashanth faceing problem fungal infection leg last finger getting tomuch of pain

Male | 37

Hi Prashant. Fungal infection of toe nail is a common in people who are in professions where there feet remain moist or have to wear shoes for long period of time. You need to keep your feet dry. Change socks twice a day. Use powder on feet before putting on socks.

For the fungal infection already there You need a long course of around 6 months of antifungal ointment.  As u are having too much pain there may be superinfection by a bacteria. You would also need to use a topical antibiotic ointment for 7-10 days.

I am 31 year old female from lucknow ,i want to know about skin melanin treatment surgery for skin lightening and whitening ,is this is good for skin in future or in my 60’s ,,i have dry combination skin Please suggest

Female | 31

Skin melanin treatment surgery can be harmful in the long run so I suggest not to go for it. You can try other treatments like chemical peels or dermabrasion instead. These treatments can help lighten the skin and are not harmful in the long run. Also using moisturizer and sunscreen can help.

I'm 28 years and suffering from PCOD. I have thick hair in chin, neck and chest. I usually use the epilator to remove the hairs but after 7-10 days, it regrows back. Can you please suggest ways to rid of it permanently?

Female | 28

• Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD) is caused due to production of immature or partially mature eggs by the ovaries in response to poor lifestyle, obesity, stress and hormonal balance.

• Excessive hair growth in the face, chest and back is associated with imbalance in the male hormone called Testosterone. Other symptoms associated include menstrual irregularity, acne, obesity and insulin resistance.

• Treating the underlying condition which is PCOD will help you get rid of the excessive hair growth.

• Medicine such as Clomifene is recommended for treatment as it encourages monthly release of egg from the ovaries and Metformin is prescribed to reduce the insulin resistance.

Lifestyle changes include:

Dietary Changes –

  Optimum diet includes a range of foods from many food categories, including healthy carbohydrates like vegetables and fruits, lean meats like chicken, fish, and high fibre grains.

 Foods with a low glycemic index enable the body to release insulin slowly and gradually, allowing your body to utilise food as energy rather than store it as fat. Fiber-rich foods also aid with blood sugar regulation.

 Avoid refined carbohydrates, which are found in processed meals such as white flour, rice, potatoes, and sugar. Sugary beverages, such as soda and juice, should also be avoided.

Maintain Healthy weight –

 Weight loss should be about half to 1 kg per week for 6 months, with the other method based on the amount of weight lost.

 Avoid crash diets since they deprive your body of essential vitamins, carbs, proteins, and minerals.

 When you go on a crash diet, your body will actually destroy muscle tissue to supply enough energy for your brain to operate.

Exercise regularly –

 Aids in the fight against obesity by burning calories and increasing muscle mass, both of which reduce insulin resistance. Exercise can also help decrease cholesterol and other hormone levels, such as testosterone.

 Physical activity is also vital. Moderate amounts of physical exercise for 30 to 45 minutes per day, 3 to 5 days per week, should be encouraged at first.

Consult your Gynecologists for starting with your treatment and take the aid of a nutritionist in order to design a customized diet plan.

Male | 16

According to what you mentioned, you may have developed cheek pain without any redness or feeling cold. This can a condition known as trigeminal neuralgia which causes sudden and severe facial pains. Make sure you rest, use warm moist clothes on your face then take over-the-counter painkillers. However, if it does not improve or gets worse then you need to see a doctor for further advice.

How long does contact dermatitis last

The contact dermatitis can last a long time. It depends upon the nature, frequency and duration of the exposure to the allergens. If the exposure to the allergens continues it might take very long time. If the exposure to the allergens is stopped then it will be recovered quickly.

I am 23 year old. sometimes before I was suffering from HSP , now I recovered from disease but some spot are appread on my legs , so please help me out with any cream or ointment for removing the spot?

Female | 23

It may be that the points are healing or that the disease left some changes behind in the skin. One thing that could help you get rid of those spots is to apply a nice hydrating cream or lotion with vitamin E or aloe vera. Note that outbreaks can take a little longer to fade away, yet hydrating your skin can help a bit.

I am a 23 Year Male and I wanted to ask about acne marks … I have black heads and acne marks … whether it can be cured by ointments or any treatment is required ? What are the treatments there ?

Male | 23

Post acne marks and post acne scars can be permanent if not treated in time. It is important to treat the ongoing acne and orevent further acne while simultateously treating the post acne marks and scars. Saicylic peels, topical retinoids, comedone extraction are prescribed by the Dermatologists to treat the black heads which are the initial stage of acne. Acne marks can be treated with superficial peels like gycolic acid peels, TCA peels, laser toning etc. Acne scars depending on their type and severity, a stand-alone or combination of treatments including subcision, erbium yag or CO laser, microneedling radofrequencuy or TCA cross etc are used. It is recommended to visit a qualified Dermatologist who would analyse the scars and advise the best possible treatment for scar improvement.
