Why is My 3-Year-Old Son Crying Uncontrollably?
My son is 3 years 7 months old. He is having ADHD and delayed speech problem. Last month he suffered from hand foot mouth infection but he recovered in few days. After that infection, his nature has changed a lot. He cries without any reason. When he gets up in the morning he cry for almost an hour. In day time also he starts crying at any time and we are unable to understand any reason for that. We try to do all the things which he likes but he only stops crying after 1 to 2 hours. The same problem happens at night also. On some days he wake up at 3-4 am and starts crying and after an hour he stops and then go for sleep. As he does not speak anything we do not understand what problem he is facing. He is also undergoing therapies for ADHD and speech delay. But at therapy centre also he keeps on crying. He was moody earlier also but after HFM infection this crying problem has increased a lot. Pls guide.

It sounds like your son's recent changes in behavior might be linked to his recovery from the hand, foot, and mouth infection. Such infections can sometimes cause lingering discomfort or changes in behavior. Given his ADHD and speech delay, it is crucial to consult with his pediatrician and a child psychiatrist to evaluate any underlying issues. They can provide a thorough assessment and tailor interventions to help manage his symptoms.

Baby very unsettled not acting as he usually does / a lot of congestion in nose, crying more than usual and not passing as much poo as usual today
Male | 19 days
Your infant is suffering from either a cold or a slight infection. The stuffiness in their nose may obstruct breathing, thus causing more frequent crying spells. Such a condition can also bring about restlessness. Babies tend to have fewer bowel movements when they have a cold. Ensure that they take enough fluids and get additional sleep. You can relieve the congestion by using a nasal saline spray. However, should these signs continue or worsen, it is imperative to consult a pediatrician.

My newborn has crp level of 39 .After 2 days of antibiotics it decreased to 18. But after another 4 days no changes .it remains 18 only. Is this something to worry about or are Antibiotics are not working anymore
Female | 5 days
Having a CRP level of 18 when a baby is born could mean an infection exists. The antibiotics helped lower it initially, that's good. But if it stays unchanged after more days, we may need to check if the antibiotics are still working properly. Contact your pediatrician if the baby develops fever, gets fussy, struggles with feeding, or has breathing issues. They can guide you on what to do next.

My 12 month baby have heavy fever suggest me drops to reduce heat and he is crying in between
Male | 1
Fevers can be caused by infections in babies. You can give your baby fever-reducing drops made for infants. Follow the dosage instructions carefully. Dress your baby lightly. Give your baby plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. If the fever doesn't go away, or if you see other worrying symptoms, seek medical help.

Sometimes babies struggle with digesting mom's milk correctly. Black poop and weakness could signal trouble. Maybe an infection or food intolerance. Try giving smaller, more frequent feedings. If other symptoms show up, seek medical advice. Definitely tell your pediatrician if this issue persists. They can guide next steps.

A monkey scratched a breastfeeding mother. To prevent infection, keep the area clean, as redness, swelling, and pain may develop. If the cut hasn't healed, avoid breastfeeding from that side. Use warm compresses, and if it doesn’t improve, consult a doctor.

My daughter is getting fever every month from last 3 months. The gap is between 2 fever is 4-5 week.every time pattern of the fever is same. It remains for 5 days first 2 days comes in every 4-5 hours then next 2 days comes in every 13-14 hours and last 5th day it comes only once in 24 hours and then it goes.along with fever she get sore thorat as well every time. Is it just a viral or periodic fever syndrome because every time pattern and time is same
Female | 2
Based on your description, your daughter may have recurrent fever syndrome. This condition involves frequent episodes of high body temperature occurring in a regular pattern. It can result from various causes, such as infections, inflammation, or genetic factors. Since she also has a sore throat, a viral infection is likely the cause. Ensure she gets plenty of rest, drinks a lot of water, and takes fever-reducing medication if she has a fever. Make an appointment with a pediatrician as soon as possible and get her checked regularly.

Hello , My baby is 2 and a half month now. Our pediatrician recommended me to give formula milk for 2 days saying that due to breastfeeding my baby is getting gas. Should I give him formula. From another BEMS doctor always suggest me only breast milk should be given to baby.
Male | 2.5 months
Gas is a common occurrence in babies and can make them quite irritable. When eating, they may swallow air or break down certain nutrients found in breast milk, causing it. To release trapped air more frequently during feeding, try burping your baby often. Additionally, tender tummy massages could also provide relief from gas. If you can, stick with breastfeeding since it’s the best for your baby’s well-being; however, you might want to consider speaking to a pediatrician for further advice.

Your son might face muscular weakness, making activities challenging. Weak muscles lack sufficient strength, often from lack of exercise or proper nutrition. However, a healthcare provider's guidance, exercises, and balanced diet can gradually improve muscle strength. Encourage active lifestyle and nutritious foods like fruits, veggies, and whole grains for muscle growth.

Fast breathing may be due to several reasons, such as nasal congestion or a respiratory infection. The first step in keeping your little one safe is to watch for their discomfort and take your child to a doctor. Satisfy them with enough water and let a vaporizer help them breathe better. However, if rapid breathing persists or gets worse, it is essential to consult a pediatrician.

Son 13 year old vomiting pain on stomach and headache
Male | 13
The signs of a stomach bug can start with vomiting. Stomach pain and headache are also two other possible symptoms. Often, these bugs are self-limiting and go by themselves, for the time being, ensure he drinks as much as possible to avoid dehydration, and feed him suitable light foods. Should he not feel any better in several days, it's the best option to see a gastroenterologist.

My child is 7 year old his fever not decrease when we give paracetamol 250 MG.what I can do
Male | 7
Your kid has a stubborn fever despite paracetamol. Don't worry, fevers aren't always due to colds or flu. But it's wise to see the doctor and rule out other causes. Meanwhile, keep them cool with lukewarm sponge baths. And ensure they drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated. These simple steps can provide relief until the fever breaks.

Hi my baby is struggling to poop it's been 3weeks I even Change the formula but still he is 1month old he cry day and night
Male | 1 month
It seems like the kid is constipated. This is when they find it hard to pass stool. It may be due to the type of formula they are taking or insufficient intake of fluids. You can give them some water in between feeds or massage their stomach gently to relieve the discomfort. If it persists, it would be best for you to take them to a doctor who can check for any underlying problems.

My child I caughing and also her palm is white
Female | 9
This arises when the body lacks sufficient oxygen. Coughing often signals infections or allergic reactions. Meanwhile, pale palms suggest low red blood cell count. Ensure your child breathes comfortably and remains calm. However, it's advisable to consult a pediatrician for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment promptly.
