Patient's Query
Dear sir ,I am 42 years old person. I have two test positive anti tpo and anti TG .my question is that I should take thyroid medication take or not take.my thyroid tsh test normal.pls help
Answered by Dr. Babita Goel
The presence of anti-TPO and anti-TG antibodies suggests your immune system might be affecting your thyroid. However, as your TSH levels are normal, you may not need medication right now. Common symptoms of thyroid dysfunction include fatigue, weight changes, and mood swings, so stay mindful of how you feel. It's best to consult with your endocrinologist for personalized advice and potential monitoring. They can help determine the best approach based on your specific condition.
