Should I tell my gynecologist about lost periods?

hi, i lost my period like a year ago almost due to restricting calories. I was wondering if i should tell my gynecologist or just keep it to myself and try to solve it on my own because it would be more comfortable for me. Also, if i tell my gynecologist that i might not be eating enough calories, what will happen? Will she involve my family? I would like to know what will happen, like if she’s just going to tell me to try eat more and see if there are my improvements or if she will tell someone or my family to strictly track what i eat every day, which would be really uncomfortable for me

They can help identify the underlying causes, which might include low-calorie intake, hormonal issues, or other factors. If you share your concerns, they will likely focus on supporting you without involving your family unless there’s a serious risk to your health. Your gynecologist may suggest lifestyle changes, monitor your progress, or possibly recommend counseling if needed. Open communication is key to your well-being, and seeking professional help is a positive step toward regaining your health.

My wife is at 39th week 3 days and baby weight is 3.7 kgs and doctor ask to come for admission after 2 days. She is afraid of Having Large Baby.

Female | 33

Feeling anxious is understandable, yet you're doing well! A baby weighing 3.7 kilograms at 39 weeks isn't worrisome. Larger babies might make delivery slightly challenging. However, your doctor closely monitors the situation. The suggested admission aims to ensure a smooth birthing process.

Hello, I am 31 year old female, about a month ago during my gynecologist exam, they found that my fallopian tube is dilated and I have a sactosalpynx or a cyst, they are not sure. They ordered more tests - cervical screening and CA125 and HE4. Cervical screening shows epithelial cells and lots of gram positive bacilli. CA125 is normal, while HE4 is elevated. I have a check up in two weeks but I was wondering should I be concerned?

Female | 31

I would recommend you make an appointment with an ob-gyn who focuses on the female reproductive system health and fertility disorders. Tubes blocked, lining thickened and cysts are some of the conditions that are indicated by fallopian tube dilation such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, or hydrosalpinx.

I got my period after 2days of unprotected intercourse and it's been a week and there is no symptoms

Female | 15

It's normal for your period to be late after unprotected intercourse, as the body sometimes reacts this way. It's common not to show any symptoms for a week. Pregnancy symptoms might appear later. Stress or changes in your routine can also delay your period. If you're concerned, taking a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks can give you a clearer answer.

Mam/Sir Good afternoon. Sir/ mam, I just wanna confirm whether my girlfriend is pregnant or not? We had sex on 31st December night (2024) without Condam. In my conscience I didn't ejaculate. Her expected period dates were 1-20 January. Her periods arrived on 16th January morning but the colour of the blood was a little orange but the bleeding was enough to fill the pad. It lasted for 3 days(16-18 January). Just to make sure whether it was Implantation bleeding or a normal period we did a pregnancy test on 21st January evening between 1-10 minutes the result was negative (one line) but after we saw it after a maximum of 10 hours there was a faith line. We both were confused. So we decided to test again on 28th January and the result was again one line negative in "C". On 2nd Feb she is getting a little minor back pain and she said that it usually occurs before the starting of Periods. Waiting for your positive response. Thank You mam/sir

Good afternoon, Based on the information provided, your girlfriend's cycle appears to follow a normal pattern. The bleeding on January 16 likely represents her menstrual period, especially since it lasted three days. The negative pregnancy test results also support this conclusion. It’s common for menstrual blood to vary in color. Minor back pain prior to her period is typical for many women. However, if concerns persist about pregnancy or any unusual symptoms, I recommend visiting a healthcare professional. They can provide a thorough evaluation and peace of mind. Take care, and I wish you both all the best.

if i had unprotected sex over 48 hours ago but missed my mini pill today shoukd i take emergency contraception

Female | 19

Not taking one mini-pill and having unprotected sex may greatly increase the chance of getting pregnant. Within 48 hours is the best time to use emergency contraception. Emergency contraception acts by stopping or delaying ovulation in the body. If you're uncertain about pregnancy, taking emergency contraception would be the best way to lower the chances.

Unwanted pregnancy avoid

Female | 25

If you are suddenly pregnant and have no idea about it, you should look out for signs such as the absence of menstruation, dizziness, and tiredness. A range of reasons makes this happen - being a victim of a contraceptive failure is one. The best idea is to consult a gynecologist first, and then discuss with him or her about how to cope with your emotions and execute those choices. Remember that you are not the only one and that the counsel of a professional can help you take care of this delicate period with empathy and understanding.

I am 14 year old teenage girl. I have a white bump on my clit and i have had it for a year. I’m really worried and I’m scared to tell my mom can you help me.

Female | 14

It is advisable to see a doctor when you notice any unusual bumps or growths in the genital area. These white bumps may have different causes such as clogging of a gland or an infection. A visit to a gynecologist or dermatologist is recommended for proper diagnosis and treatment.

How late is to late to get a accurate pregnancy test

Female | 30

If you ask when is it too late to do a pregnancy test and get the right answers, here is the info. Most home pregnancy tests work best when you miss your period. Waiting too long may make results wrong. If you feel signs like a missed period, sick, sore breasts, and peeing a lot, it is best not to wait long to do the test for the right results.
