Answered on 27th Sept '24

Vomiting, diarrhea, and belly aches are never fun! These can be caused by infections, bad food, or even stress. Drink plenty of fluids, and stick to plain foods like crackers or rice. Get some rest. If the symptoms last more than a day or two, it's best to see a gastroenterologist to be safe.

I feel abdominal pain or discomfort so what medication can prescribed to me

Male | 28

If you are encountering nausea or indigestion, you should make an appointment with the gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and therapy. Self-medication should not be an option as it can cover the actual reason for your discomfiture.

I am 25 and I've been experiencing abdominal cramps, fever. The cramps are fine now. But now I have diarrhea and the stools are yellow and foamy and very frequent. I don't know what to do.

Female | 25

The following is an attempt to explain what could be the reason behind frequently going to the loo with a yellow, foamy stool and the way the body deals with unwanted substances. It is possibly diarrhea caused by the stomach flu or eating something that didn't sit right. To restore electrolytes, drink plenty of water and be properly hydrated. If you experience the loss of appetite, diarrhea, and vomiting that come with the condition, avoid high-fiber foods and processed carbs.

I am a 38 year old man and lately I have blood in my stool and also when I have sex with my girlfriend I have rectal bleeding. Is ejaculation related to homorroids?

Male | 38

When you see blood in your stool or have it while having sex, it might be because of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels around the anus and lower rectum that can bleed, hurt, or itch. Ejaculation alone doesn't cause them but pushing during bowel movements or any other activity can worsen them. To relieve yourself eat more fibre, drink lots of water, and seek advice from a doctor.

High blood presure and cough.. Acidity

Female | 70

High blood pressure combined with a cough that tastes acidic could signify acid reflux. The stomach acid travels upward, entering the food pipe, resulting in a burning sensation. Acid reflux can trigger coughing and exacerbate high blood pressure. To alleviate symptoms, avoid spicy and fatty foods. Consume smaller meals. Refrain from eating too close to bedtime. If necessary, your doctor may prescribe medication to reduce acidity.

Male | 18

It's great that you went to the hospital and received treatment for typhoid, malaria, and a cold. Some of these diseases might be responsible for one to feel unwell. Headaches and vomiting can sometimes stick around even after treatment. Ensure drinking lots of water, plenty of rest, and healthy foods. If your symptoms don't get any better, go back to your doctor to get more advice.
