Why do I have red and white gums?

I am 33 years male . I have red gumline and white gum above my 4/5 teeth for last few months

Answered on 9th Feb '25

Gum inflammation can occur due to various factors such as plaque buildup, hormonal changes, or sensitivity to certain foods. The redness and white patches might indicate irritation or an early stage of gum disease. To address this, maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly, and consider using an antimicrobial mouthwash. If symptoms persist or worsen, I recommend seeing a dentist for a thorough evaluation and professional cleaning.

Medicine for tooth infection

Female | 26

In the event of a tooth infection, quick medical care is mandatory, since it is apt to have a high level of pain. A dentist is the one who should visit when she/he has a toothache. The most frequently encountered treatment for this kind of infection is an antibiotic and OTC pain relievers are given for pain relieving.

What is jaw claudication?

Female | 59

Jaw claudication is an often unrecognized sign of giant cell arteritis. The significance of this symptom has been underemphasized in the dental literature. Dentists should consider jaw claudication when making the differential diagnosis of jaw pain, especially in the elderly patient. Early diagnosis and treatment of giant cell arteritis may help save a patient

I a 18 year old female and I want to have braces in my tooth ... I have improper tooth I want to straight them

Female | 18

Malpositioned teeth can lead to problems such as difficulty in chewing and talking. It is the result of genetic factors or the acquisition of certain habits like sucking thumb. Braces are a well-known method for fixing such problems. They slowly shift your teeth to the desired position. Do not be afraid, as many teenagers your age wear braces, and is completely normal. But, you can visit an orthodontist to learn more about it.
