Why Can't I Get Periods If Not Pregnant?
Why i cant get my periods if I'm not प्रेग्नंट
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 29th Aug '24
A missed period is not just a sign of pregnancy. It can happen due to stress, weight changes, or hormonal misbalance. Sometimes medical conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are the reasons behind this too. A period away from time may be a sign of some hidden health problem. If you notice it often, speak to a gynecologist who can help you understand the reasons for it.

Is it normal to have a cycle that is normally 28 days but then has been jumping between 28-33
Female | 21
It's normal to have cycle length variations. Factors like stress affect cycle regularity. A 28-33 day cycle is still regular.. . See a doctor if bleeding is HEAVY or PAINFUL.

I had intercourse with my bf yesterday and he ejaculated outside the vagina bt am not sure if some went into it by accident and we didn't do intercourse and also am having little stomach ache from morning is there anything to worry???
Female | 19
It's difficult to determine the exact cause without further info.. Stomach aches can have various causes which are unrelated factors like stress or dietary changes. If you're concerned about pregnancy then you may take a pregnancy test for confirmation.

Is taking mifepristone 10 mg effective as an emergency contraceptive pill? I took it hours after having unprotected sex.
Female | 23
Mifepristone is a medication that is typically not used in the 10 mg dose as an emergency contraceptive pill. It may be less beneficial than other methods such as emergency contraceptive pills containing levonorgestrel. Your preventive action is a good step. However, be aware that this may not be effective in preventing pregnancy. In case you experience any abnormal symptoms or if you suspect you are pregnant, it is recommended to visit a gynecologist.

Hi mujhe vagina main bohat dard hai or vagina main dryness feel hoti hai or urine baar baar ata hai main un married hon urine reports bhi normal hai ultrasound bhi sahi hai or blood report bhi sahi hai mujhe bohat discomfort feel hota hai
Female | 22
You have the condition vaginitis. It shows pain, dryness, frequent urination, and discomfort. Infections, irritants, or hormone changes can cause vaginitis to be painful. Don't Use scented products instead, wear cotton underwear, and you will be a lot more comfortable. Over-the-counter medications like antipyretics are also another treatment you can use. The best thing to do when symptoms don't clear is to see a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Female | 17
While the withdrawal bleeding you experienced after taking the i-pill suggests that you may not be pregnant, it's not a definitive confirmation. Consider taking a pregnancy test to be sure. Regarding your next period, it can vary and it may not necessarily follow your regular 31-day cycle due to the hormonal changes caused by the emergency contraceptive pill. It's best to monitor your menstrual cycle and consult with a gynecologist for medications.

Brown discharge during period which appears 2 days earlier
Female | 25
Brown discharge before menstruation commonly occurs due to the expulsion of older blood. Color variations arise as blood stays longer exiting your body, turning brown. Hormonal fluctuations, stress, or infections can cause this delay. While occasional discoloration is normal, frequent occurrences or accompanying pain warrant consulting a gynecologist to rule out underlying conditions.

I have a strong smelling chemical vaginal odor
Female | 18
A strong bacterial odor in the vagina can indicate a bacterial infection or an imbalance in vaginal pH. A gynecologist should be seen in order to get a precise diagnosis and treatment.

I'm a 17 year old female and I have been taking pertal pill for a few months to gain weight, February was the last time I saw my period my cycle is 4 days now were in May and I still haven't seen my period I also did a few pregnancy test but it came out negative
Female | 17
The pertal pill you’ve been using to put on weight might be responsible for this since it causes variations in the menstrual cycle. At the same time, stress, hormonal imbalances, or strenuous physical exercises can also lead to missed periods. Even though the results of your pregnancy tests have all been negative, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist to establish what is wrong and how to go about it.

my belly and my vagina hurt
Female | 18
Urinary tract infections often occur when bacteria enter the bladder and vagina. You might feel pain when peeing, experience lower belly pain, and have the urge to pee frequently. It's important to drink plenty of water and avoid holding in your pee. Sometimes, antibiotics are needed to help treat the infection.

It's an 38 year old women having adenomyosis and her gynaecologist give her tabzyme and methix tablet for one month but the condition is not cured then she done again with ultrasound and fined adenomyosis now she wants to start again the tablets methix and tabzyme kindly suggest me if she do that???
Female | 38
You have adenomyosis. It causes heavy periods, pain in your pelvic area, and bloating. The tablets from your gynecologist help with symptoms. It was good to get another ultrasound to confirm adenomyosis. Your gynecologist may restart the medication or try other treatments based on your situation.

Female | 21
After the intercourse if you had periods in March, April, and May, on March 5th, it's unlikely that you're pregnant, as regular periods suggest otherwise.

What causes a woman to have a brown discharge during ovulation?
Female | 19
When a woman has brown discharge during ovulation, it might be due to a small amount of blood mixing with her normal vaginal discharge. This doesn’t happen often, but it can occur. For example, a little bleeding might happen when the egg is released from the ovary. Doctors usually don’t worry about this as it usually goes away and doesn’t need medical treatment. However, if the brown discharge comes with other symptoms like pain or a bad odor, it’s best to consult a gynecologist.

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I found out I was pregnant in November I live in a state where abortion is illegal I seemed for help in other states and I couldn’t find the help I needed so now I was able to get a hold of the pills I took the first pill yesterday and I still need to take the 4 others but I’m scared and worried about what could happen if it can take me into labor or will they actually make a termination to the pregnancy
Female | 21
The pills you swallowed are supposed to terminate the pregnancy; however, this might not happen immediately. Sometimes you may go through cramps, bleed, or even pass out some tissues. It may take some hours or even days for all these to happen. Should it be that you are scared or maybe you are experiencing too much pain or bleeding heavily, please seek medical help as soon as possible.

I have sex on the last day of my period dat is on sixth of this month isn’t possible that am pregnant
Female | 29
On the last day of your period, sex does not guarantee the absence of pregnancy. Sperms are viable to survive for 5 days in the female reproductive tract. Therefore, you better use contraception if you do not wish to conceive. Please refer to a gynecologist, to discuss with him/her, the best birth control option for you.

Familia injaction advantage and disadvantage
Male | 35
Familia injection, a form of contraceptive, offers the advantage of long-term pregnancy prevention, usually lasting for about three months. However, it may have disadvantages such as irregular periods, weight gain, and mood changes. It is important to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice and to discuss any potential side effects.

hello i had my periods 4 days ago i was spotting at first but after 2 hours i was bleeding light and on the second day i was having clots but less clots as compared to normal and today is the fourth day and my periods are done . is it normal ? am i pregnant?
Female | 19
Changes in periods happen. Less heavy flow, clots, spotting is quite typical. Your 4-day period seems normal, not a pregnancy sign. Stress, hormones, and new eating habits cause shifts. But if other weird stuff pops up or worries arise, don't hesitate - check in with a gynecologist.

I am a 22 year old female, I started taking my birth control again and have been for a week now. I started my period after starting my birth control again. However, my period or whatever is happening has been occuring for almost 10 days now. The bleeding is very light with just two days of it being a medium flow. My breasts aren't tender, my acne is bad, my hair is a bit oily, I do feel gassy, my back hurts a bit and I feel mildly nauseous here and there.
Female | 22
It sounds more like your body is only getting used to birth control. It is quite common to have irregular bleeding when you start using birth control. Light bleeding, acne, oily hair, gas, back pain, and nausea are also possible side effects of the hormones in birth control. Allow some time to ensure the body gets used to the medicine. And if these symptoms persist or become stronger, please get in touch with your gynecologist for advice.

I am 31 and I am 40 days pregnant. I am working in a school as a teacher. Is it safe to continue my job? I need to climb up the stairs in working hours. Is there any harm? Please suggest
Female | 31
At 40 days, the unborn baby is still small but securely growing in the womb. It's important to reduce stress on your body during this stage. Climbing stairs is fine as long as you don't feel dizzy, tired, or experience any pain. Listen to your body and take it easy. If you have any concerns or unusual symptoms, talk to your gynecologist.
