I pill delay periods for how many days

Do ipill delay periods? How effective is an ipill tablet when taken between 48-72 hours? And for how long can they delay periods and when should I opt for a preg. Test? After sex, she got her periods after 3-4 days (for 3 days which is normal in her case) and they were painless this time with clots. Was that the withdrawal bleeding? It's been a month and 7 days since last that last bleeding and she hasn't got her periods yet. Is it a possible pregnancy? (p.s sex happened on the day she was supposed to get her periods)

Does ipill delay periods? Yes if taken properly as prescribed periods delay due to ipill. The effectiveness of the i-pill decreases the longer you wait to take it and taking it within 48-72 hours is the most effective time frame. If your concerned do a pregnancy test around 2-3 weeks after the date of the last unprotected intercourse. This will give the most accurate result.

If your ECG is normal then the pain may be due to muscle strain, anxiety or acid reflux. If medicines are not giving permanent relief, then talk to a doctor again, they may suggest few tests to find the exact reason of pain.

I have feel nipples discharge recently I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend but I take the contraceptive pill too and i have my period on time I am worried about the pregnancy.

1 Answer

Answered on 23rd May '24

Nipple discharge is caused by hormonal imbalances or medication side effects. While its not necessarily an indicator of pregnancy. And if you are taking contraceptive pills regularly and as directed, it's less likely that you are pregnant. Check with a gynecologist to confirm.

Hello, I have herpes type 1. Yesterday I saw a breakout coming. The blister wasn’t very big, it was more red than yellowish. I was with my boyfriend and we spent the night. Today afternoon I put ethanol and acyclovir topically and after 2-3 hours the blister erupted. I’m afraid if I transmitted the virus to my boyfriend. I try to be cautious and avoid sexual intercourse while having an outbreak. I thought it wasn’t very dangerous because the blister hadn’t developed, but I’m really afraid if I transmitted the virus.

If you had active outbreak there are chances that the virus can be transmitted even if the blister was not fully developed. Avoid intercourse during outbreaks to reduce the risk of transmission. Communicate with your gynec about how to manage your outbreaks and reduce the risk of transmission to your partner.

The pain you are experiencing is because of pneumonia. Follow up with your doctor to evaluate and ensure that the pneumonia has been fully treated. Your pulmonologist may perform additional tests or imaging to know the cause of your pain and provide appropriate treatment.

Hello.. Iam 65. It's been a week I had my mitral valve replacement. Doctors replaced my mitral valve with mechanical valve. Is mechanical valve safe for me? As my age is 65..? Please reply me..

1 Answer

Answered on 23rd May '24

Mechanical valves are safe for most patients, even for those who are 65 years old but there are some risks. Patients with mechanical valves need to take blood thinning medication for the rest of their lives to prevent blood clots from forming on the valve, which can be a serious complication.

Hello Doctor, 2 calculi of size12.4mm and 7.3mm have been noted in gal bladder one in fundus and other in neck respectively in ultrasound. I am having issue of pain in abdomen and back and nausea and headache. After the results of ultrasound what will be further treatment required. And also want to know if still endoscopy is required after detection in ultrasound?

Dr. Samrat Jankar

Surgical Gastroenterologist

Answered on 23rd May '24

Based on the ultrasound results, it seems that you have gallstones in your gallbladder, which  is causing abdominal and back pain, nausea, and headache. And  endoscopy is not required to diagnose or treat gallstones. But in some cases, an endoscopic ultrasound is used to get a better view of the gallbladder and surrounding structures. I recommend consulting with a gastroenterologist or a surgeon for further evaluation and treatment options.
