Answered on 23rd May '24

I have ocd and I take 100mg of sertraline in the morning and 0.5 mg of clonazepam at night but now I am having difficulty in sleeping at night so can I take 1mg of clonazepam at night, please suggest me.
Male | 30
Poor quality rest might be responsible for experiencing the problem of sleeping. This means that you should be extra careful when attempting to change medications. Clonazepam results in disrupted sleep meaning that increasing the dose doesn't make it better.

A burning head and shivering is hard. These signs may come from your meds. Some pills can make muscles stiff and make you shake. Tell your doctor about these troubles - they might change your medicine to help. It's key to report new issues while on medication.

Female | 44
Being nervous and not being able to sleep are usual symptoms of stress among other things like migraines especially after a divorce. By the way, Stilpain should help ease the pain but it would be better if you could see a psychiatrist soon to discuss everything with them. They may be able to give some advice on how best to deal with such situations.

I can earn good money. And secondly, the tension of my family is always in my mind, these things are always going around in my mind because my family environment is very disturbed and nothing is going right here. And every time I'm stressed I always have depression
Male | 25
This could be due to stress, not enough sleep, bad eating habits, or maybe even depression. The best thing to do is take care of yourself by getting enough rest each night; exercising regularly will also help keep your energy levels up throughout the day. Healthy food can improve mood swings associated with this condition. You’re still young so don’t worry too much.

I just started a new increased dose of Vyvanse on 5/30. It's causing terrible headaches and I didn't sleep for 2 days. Will my doctor decrease the dose? Please advise
Female | 48
Headaches and difficulty sleeping are normal when getting used to this treatment. To relieve these signs your doctor might want to lower the dose. Be certain to inform your doctor of these side effects so that he or she can decide what would be best for your case.

The effects of a birth control injection can't be washed out as it stays in your body for a specific duration, typically around three months. If you're facing problems, it's important to consult a gynecologist who can guide you on the best course of action for your situation. They can also discuss alternative contraceptive methods that might suit you better.

I had drug induced psychosis how can I know if it’s only drug induced psychosis or if it’s like schizophrenia or something
Male | 22
A psychiatrist’s consult needs to make a determination whether your psychosis is substance abused induced or if it may signify a more serious mental illness, like schizophrenia. A psychiatrist can conduct a comprehensive assessment and steer you in the right direction for treatment. I suggest that you see a psychiatrist who specializes in psychotic disorders.

I visited a psychiatrist and he prescribed me these meds. Daxtin 20mg Daxtin 40mg Fluvoxamine 50mg Etilaam .25mg Explain these medicines from all perspective and help me get a pros and cons list
Male | 21
Here's some brief information about the medicines that your psychiatrist has recommended: 1. Daxtin 20mg and Daxtin 40mg: These are prescribed for depression. These drugs can help increase the serotonin and norepinephrine levels, improving your mood and energy. 2. Fluvoxamine 50mg: It's also great for depression and anxiety. It works better for sleep and decreases the level of anxiety. 3. Etilaam 0.25mg: It cures anxiety and panic attacks. Positive: Such products have the potential to alleviate depression, give you a good night's sleep, and anxiety at a manageable level.
Negative: It might bring alongside other effects such as vomiting, giddiness, and drowsiness. In other words, these medications are intended to make you feel better, but they can also cause other health problems. Do not stop taking them on your own – always take them as your doctor has prescribed and notify them of any discrepancies in your condition!

Can I take my xanax and drink orange juice?
Female | 71
To get the Xanax to work effectively, don't take it with orange juice. Xanax is in a class of medications called benzodiazepines. Mixing it with orange juice makes your body absorb Xanax less well because the juice's acidity interferes with this process.

I have been diagnosed with insomnia when I was 12 but I think I have a more severe case of insomnia, I’ve been awake for more then 29 hours and I can not sleep I have tried to Wind down but nothing is working and this goes on for days till my body finally gives out
Female | 16
You have a severe case of insomnia. Insomnia is a health problem where a person has trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Some common symptoms are difficulty concentrating, tiredness, and excessive irritability. Causes such as stress, anxiety, or an unhealthy sleep schedule can produce insomnia. Practicing a bedtime routine, not drinking coffee near bedtime, and relaxation will greatly influence your sleep. If you continue to experience sleeplessness, you need to consult a psychiatrist for additional advice.

I am studing but it is not entering my head I am facing it for last 1 month What to do?
Male | 21
If you are feeling tired all the time, running a fever, and experiencing general bodily malaise (like muscle aches), there is a chance that what you have could be caused by some kind of virus such as influenza. The important thing for now is making sure to drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and take over-the-counter medicines for symptomatic relief. However, should none of these measures work then I would advise seeking further guidance from your doctor or another healthcare professional.

With your signs of mood changes, severe sleep problems, and physical complications like hair loss and weight loss, you must get medical help in time. I would suggest that you try to consult with a psychiatrist who can establish the proper diagnosis through a comprehensive testing procedure. You should also see an endocrinologist for evaluation of these symptoms that may be due to the hormonal imbalance.
