Am I experiencing androgenic alopecia?

I am facing hair loss. I want to confirm if it's androgenic alopecia because I'm planning to start finasteride 1mg oral (3 times a week). Can you help me?

Experiencing hair thinning can be concerning, and androgenic alopecia is a common cause, often characterized by progressive hair loss at the temples and crown. This condition is influenced by genetic factors and hormones. Finasteride can help by blocking dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to hair loss. It's advisable to consult a dermatologist before starting any medication to ensure it aligns with your health needs.

Can I take acetaminophen( allergies) and melatonin together or wait?

Female | 27

Taking acetaminophen and melatonin is usually not a problem. It gets rid of headache and also fever. This way you will avoid being affected by the injury for long since it will quicken your sleep. Even so, you should take the right amount of each medicine. If you have any worries or strange feelings it is best to talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.

I am 22 years old and I am facing with eczema on my finger it's kind of a dry itchy and small swellings on that finger and that spreading on other fingers of my hand too I have tried many creams but it helps temporarily and again the condition continues.. what should I do?

Female | 22

When ignored, eczema can cause dry, itchy skin with small bumps that may spread to other fingers. This condition is usually not contagious but uncomfortable. Eczema may be brought about by allergens or irritants present in the environment or stressors at home or the workplace. To manage this kind of problem, always keep the skin moisturized all the time; avoid anything that triggered the outbreak such as harsh detergent soaps among others–instead use mild ones which are readily available over-the-counter (OTC) drugs like hydrocortisone creams can also work effectively if prescribed by doctors specializing in treating diseases related with epidermis.

Female | 22

Acne can cause by hormonal changes, stress, genetics, or other factors. If you have acne that is filled with pus, it is likely that you have an infection. Consult a dermatologist as soon as possible in order to get the proper treatment. You may need topical medication, an antibiotic or other treatment to get rid of the infection and reduce the breakouts. Keep your skin clean and moisturized, avoid touching your face again and again, and limit your exposure to dust and pollution.

What happened if I accidentally swallow 3 pouches of cool lip? What are medthods to prevent this?

Male | 30

Swallowing three of those cool lip pouches could be harmful. The pouches contain chemicals that may cause stomachaches, nausea, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. Make sure such products are always kept away from children and animals. If someone does this, have them drink lots of water to dilute what they gulped down and call Poison Control right away.

Hi, my mom wore sandals and it cut a little part of the top of her foot skin. It’s like a round circle and you can see the red skin. She has been using different foot medicine like antiseptic spray, rolled gauze bands, vaseline. She has took ibuprofen for pain. What can she do so it heals faster and relief pain?

Female | 60

Your mom likely developed a foot wound from friction with her sandal. Inflamed red skin indicates irritation. Antiseptic spray application was smart for preventing infections. Rolled gauze bandages shield the wound area. Vaseline keeps skin moisturized, promoting healing. Taking ibuprofen reduces discomfort and swelling. For quicker recovery, keeping the wound clean and dry while avoiding pressure on that foot is crucial.

How to clean my pimple face

Male | 26

Getting pimples is annoying. They're little bumps caused by blocked pores. Pimples appear red, swollen, sore. Wash face twice daily with gentle soap, warm water. Don't squeeze or pick pimples - it makes them worse. Use creams with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to clear skin.
