Can I Supplement Fish Oil as a Vegetarian?

Can i supplement fish oil being a vegetarian without any issues

As a vegetarian, if you want to include Omega-3 fatty acids in your diet, you should not use fish oil. What is in fish oil mainly comes from fish, and many people may find this unappealing. Instead, consider using flaxseed oil or algae oil which are obtained from plants. The two oils have similar benefits as fish oil but do not contradict with the vegetarian lifestyle.

I have (in the last 24 hours) developed unusual blisters on my hands, fingers, nose, and cheek. Two mornings ago I woke up with a fever and chills (it has since subsided) and took Advil to help, but after two rounds of taking it, I noticed the bottle was a few years expired--perhaps this is related?

Male | 23

In the past 24 hours, if you have developed strange blisters around your hands, fingers cheek and nose then it is necessary to see a dermatologist. However, even if the expired Advil has no connection to the blisters, it is still essential never to take any medication after its expiration date. Seek specialized medical care in case your condition does not improve.

I am Prem Choudhary 18years old, I had acne on my face I had not gone through any treatment before, I had oily skin in summer and dry skin in winter. I want consultation regarding this.

You have an oily skin and acne problem. This is usually due to the hormonal changes that occur during this age. Depending on the severity, treatment can be decided. Topical anti-acne creams or interval medications along with some cosmetic procedures will be required

I have oily skin and acne marks and acne on my forehead And my face , brown spot in my face

Female | 27

You may have a combination of shiny skin, hyperpigmentation, pimples on your forehead, and spots on your cheeks. Overactive oil glands are a magnet for pimples which consecutively leave dark marks. Stress, hormones, and your diet could all contribute to making it severe. Tanning or irritating your skin might be responsible for brown spots. To fix your issue, gently clean it every day using cleansing products; you can get some over-the-counter drugs meant for treating acne then apply them as instructed, and protect it against the sun by wearing sunscreen all the time.

As per your symptoms it would appear that you are suffering from acne vulgaris. This condition may also lead to pimples, acne and dryness on the face. This may also be associated with the dandruff and hair fall. I suggest that you consult a dermatologist who will offer the right diagnosis and treatment protocol.

Acne is multi-factorial problem, hormonal disease in most of the patients, diet, exercise, hygiene, grooming practices play important role.so visiting dermatologist and taking treatment is one option and maintain treatment for long time because if you are getting any improvement with the treatment then continue it otherwise dermatologist will change it. there are few things that has to be taken care. One thing not to apply hair oil, avoid having dandruff or use anti-dandruff shampoos weekly on the scalp, using face washes that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Avoid using thick greasy moisturizers or cream on the face. Use only creams that are gel based or water based. Drink plenty of water, avoid fat or cheesy diet, exercise 10-15 mins of the day. Topical steroids have to be avoided. Topical antibiotics like Clindamycin are useful. Oral Antibiotics or retinoids are advised.
