You need to wait before giving blood after GFC treatment. Your body requires time to recover; it lost cells during the procedure. Don't give blood too soon - at least one week is best. That lets your body rebuild the blood cells affected by treatment. Donating blood earlier could make you tired or dizzy. Wait a week to be safe after GFC.

Hello, I'm a 22 year old recently visited a breast clinic in Bhopal. It's almost a month now I am having breast pain, swelling, and my left nipple was inverted more than usual. After the ultrasound I was just given a leaflet about fibroadenoma and she didn't explain. My left nipple has become much more inverted and sunken in and it takes a long time to emerge. Is this something that happens with cancer? I've been worried for months now that this could be cancer even though my doctor didn't seem concerned that it was. Because I am quite young and have no such family history of cancer maybe she overlooked the situation.
Swelling or lump in breast, inverted nipple, pain in breast and lumps in axilla should always be checked thoroughly. These are very common signs which can be seen in Fibroadenoma and also early stage breast cancers. Regular Mammography and biopsy is very important to assess the exact nature of disease. So we would suggest you to undergo a biopsy and visit oncologist to know the exact nature of swelling and it's treatment plan.

I am detected with rectum cancer . I have a tumor at the tip of my anus and doctor has advised a surgery colostomy. I have got a PET SCAN done. The conclusion report of the pet scan says The known hypermetabolic primary rectal neoplasm involving mid and lower rectum. Small sized mesenteric, mesorectal and presacral lymph nodes with no significant FDG activity. Otherwise, no hypermetabolic distant metatases. I would like to know What stage is my cancer in? 1. I want to know if there are non-invasive treatment options for Lung Cancer? My father is 60 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Lung cancer.
Treatment for any cancer depends on the stage of cancer, age of patient, his general condition mainly. But mainly the treatment includes - Surgery. Surgeon removes affected part or sometimes a lobe or entire lung, depending on all the parameters of patient. Types of surgeries are- Wedge resection, Segmental resection, Lobectomy and Pneumonectomy. Doctors may also remove lymph nodes from chest to check for cancer. Doctor may suggest chemo or radiation therapy before surgery in order to shrink the cancer if it is a large. Also the same may be done in case recurrence is suspected. Radiation therapy It is also recommended in whom surgery is not recommended as the first line of treatment.. Chemotherapy Chemo along with adjuvant treatment to surgery also is given to relieve pain and other symptoms in advanced cancer. Radiosurgery Radiosurgery can be advised for people with small lung cancers who can't undergo surgery. It may be given in metastasis of cancer. Targeted drug therapy It is also one of the treatments available but usually used in advance cancer. Immunotherapy Is a newer treatment used in treating cancer. In very early cancers I.e stage 1 mucosal - just an excision from inside the stomach is needed. It can be done endoscopically without any sutures or scars. However if it is slightly advanced, then the surgery will be a bit complex as he already has undergone surgery for the esophagus. However if the disease is limited, he should definitely undergo treatment for the stomach cancer .

The gastrointestinal tract is the most common site of extranodal involvement for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL),but there is deficit of enough study in such cases therefore the best combination of treatment is subject of discussion. Currently, a combination of surgery followed chemotherapy is considered primarily because the preoperative diagnosis is difficult and risk of complications requiring surgery is quite high during chemotherapy. As per studies surgery plus chemotherapy was associated with a lower rate of relapse than chemotherapy. But the decision should be made by the treating clinician only as he is evaluating the case. Cancer is tough, but there's hope. Please let the doctor know if she feels worse even after treatment. Some symptoms such as coughing, pain, or feeling weak are of multiple possibilities.
