After taking emergency contraception, some women experience lighter periods or changes in their cycle, which is normal. Factors such as hormonal shifts can cause this. If your bleeding continues to feel unusual or if you have concerns, it's wise to speak with a gynecologist. They can provide personalized advice and ensure everything is okay.

Iam a 35 year old female with pid I was administered with medication but symptoms are getting worse does a woman with pid likely have Hiv

Female | 35

Like HIV, PID has symptoms such as pain, fever, and discharge. Does one mean there is also the presence of the other? The answer is no. Normally, PID is caused by bacteria and it can easily be cured with antibiotics. However, if you still think you might have gotten infected after all these explanations then don’t hesitate to go for an HIV test to be sure.

Got 3d withdrawal bleeding after 10d Primolut. Medium flow. Does it rule out normal as well as ectopic pregnancy?

Female | 29

No it does not rule out normal or ectopic pregnancy, serum beta hcg levels and ultrasound to be done. In vitro fertilization (IVF) may still be necessary even if serum beta hCG levels and ultrasound do not rule out normal or ectopic pregnancy.

Hello doctor am Sihle peterson I got sick last year and i went to hospital and the doctors told me that am pregnant and the baby is in the tube so they have to cut it so the day i was discharged they told me that they cut both tubes because the other one was having cloths were they right or they sappose to asked me first or clean the other tube

Female | 34

It sounds like you had an ectopic pregnancy, which is a serious medical condition that requires prompt treatment. In most cases, surgery is necessary to remove the pregnancy and prevent life-threatening complications. As for removing both tubes, this may have been necessary depending on the extent of damage or scarring. It's important to follow up with a gynecologist or reproductive specialist to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your fertility.

if i got a tetanus vaccine two months back and i got a metal cut now from shaving razors should i get a vaccine, to be more precise, I got the cut on my right hand's thumb

Male | 14

You should be okay if your tetanus shot was recent. The tetanus bacteria enters through cuts like shaving nicks. Be alert for muscle stiffness or trouble swallowing. Those could signal tetanus, so see a doctor immediately. But if you don't have issues, keep the wound clean and watch for infection signs. There's no need to panic with a current tetanus vaccination.

I'm 31 years old female. This year , I delivered my baby on 28 August via c section , after 3 days staying at nicu my baby died. Now i want to know , how early i can try to conceive for baby again? Please help me.

Female | 31

In general, it is best to have a break of 18 to 24 months after the c-section and neonatal loss before conceiving again. Your body has time to heal both physically and emotionally. You must give yourself space to get better first before thinking about another pregnancy.

I had a really strange blood clot that had some blood and grey tissue, I am scared that I was pregnant and then started taking the birth control and did not know. I had nausea, and tender breasts prior. I am scared I had a miscarriage . I am worried its a decidual cast but there was a small sac like thing with 2 transparent dots. I am still nauseas, have a mild headache, cramps and bleeding. After the clot was released, the bleeding and cramping slowed down a lot.

Female | 29

It's difficult to determine the cause of the blood clot without a proper medical checkup. It's possible It could be a decidual cast, from the uterus during menstruation or after pregnancy. It's also possible that it could be a sign of a miscarriage or another medical condition. I suggest get it checked as soon as possible to determine the cause of your symptoms and get appropriate treatment.
