MY sister underwent a laparoscopic surgery to remove gall bladder due to stone and found appendix also , was also removed. Now its been 2 months and she is experiencing weight loss and less appetite. when checked blood found SGOT-72.54 AND SGPT 137.47, what is the reason
Female | 27
Your sister's weight loss and reduced appetite after surgery are normal. Her body is adjusting to the change. High SGOT and SGPT blood levels indicate liver inflammation, which is common post-surgery. This also affects appetite. Follow up with her doctor. They may recommend diet changes or medicines to help her recover and regain appetite.

My b12 level < 125, vit d = 9, I took arachitol 6L injection (single dose) and imbisem xp spray for b12, since I have digestion issues and low creatinine, doctor suggested me oral spray for b12 ( i cant take pills nor multiple injections of b12 due to low muscle mass). I was diagnosed with Antral Gastritis and Esophagitis LA grade B in endoscopy in March 2020, Taking ppi’s such as Veloz L, Veloz IT, Omeprazole, Ganaton Total since March 2020. Curretly, I am having indigestion, malnutrition, stomach upset and gastric since long time, sometimes nauseous, will spray recover my b12, are these issues related to deficiencies, if yes, after how long will stomach issues improve?
Female | 35
Your low B12 and Vitamin D levels, along with gastritis and esophagitis, can be the root cause of your digestion problems and malnutrition. The oral spray can assist you with increasing the level of your B12. Continue to take your medications as prescribed and follow up with a gastroenterologist for further guidance.

It would be advisable to visit a gastroenterologist if you suffer from abdominal pain and jaundice as well. Jaundice may be the result of different factors which include liver diseases and problems in the bile ducts. The area of expertise of a gastroenterologist will cover the execution of the required tests and recommendations of the suitable treatment options as your particular condition demands.

Hi, 45f, Caucasian. History family of cancer from father side (prostate) and liver (grandmother) Started developing GI symptoms 2 years ago. Main symptoms are pain/discomfort on the epigastric region, increased burping, nausea and loss of apetite and normal stools intercalated with mushy stools. Did several FBC, stool test for blood and HPylori, and US, all normal apart from uncomplicated gallstones. After being put on PPIs for 2 weeks I felt slightly better but the symptoms kept coming and going. Pushed for another GE appointment and had a Upper endoscopy done that revealed excessive bile in stomach and non working LES. Again was advised PPIs for 3 weeks and that's it. I keep on having on and off symptoms and had had another stool test that came back negative. I'm scared this is a gastric cancer, can you please advise? Thank you!
Female | 45
The symptoms you mentioned—such as pain, burping, nausea, and changes in appetite—can be caused by various conditions like gastritis or GERD. Excess bile in the stomach or a weak LES (lower esophageal sphincter) could be contributing to your discomfort. It's a relief that your tests have ruled out serious conditions like cancer. It’s important to monitor your symptoms and work with your doctor to manage them, possibly with medications like PPIs. Your gastroenterologist will continue to follow up if any issues persist.

I have constant gas every night in my belly for the last 3 years and recently my gas has been stuck beside my belly button.
Female | 36
Your belly feels gassy, right around the navel. That bloated sensation stings. Gas frequently results from meals being improperly digested. Rapid eating, chewing gum, carbonated beverages - these worsen it. Slow down while eating, avoid gas-causing foods, and hydrate well. If issues persist, consulting a gastroenterologist provides expert guidance.

Iam 18 year old and i have some problems in my gut it's been 3 years start gas and then bloating, constipated and i poop 1 hour why? Is there any solution
Female | 18
You may have a problem called irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS. IBS can lead to the production of gas, bloating, constipation, and the alteration of your bathroom habits. Eating more fiber, drinking water, and managing stress can be an efficient way to improve your condition. Additionally, do not forget to consume regular meals and stay away from trigger foods like dairy or spicy foods. If these changes don't help, make sure to see a gastroenterologist for further advice.

I also tend to pass urine often, but in less quantity. the pain also sometimes can be observed in the middle part below the belly button. Also feel dizzy, weak and feel lower back ache when pressed.
Female | 23
You may be having a urinary tract infection (UTI) or kidney infection. These make you pee often but little pee comes out. They also cause pain in your lower right belly, dizziness, weakness, and low back pain. It is very important to drink lots of water and see a urologist.

I’m having pain in my chest after having eaten 3 hours ago, is this heartburn or is it something more serious?
Female | 17
Heartburn occurs when the food pipe carries the stomach acid back up. The symptoms are a burning feeling in the chest or a sore throat after meals. If you suffer from heartburn, consider eating smaller meals, avoiding spicy foods, and lying down after eating, as they will help you deal with it. If the pain continues, see a gastroenterologist.

Hyperacidity gas & indigestion. Sour burping
Male | 29
You're dealing with hyperacidity, gas, and indigestion which can be pretty uncomfortable. Maybe it feels like you are stuffed with air and you have the following symptoms: burping out and having a sour taste in your mouth, tummy pain. This usually happens if you eat too quickly or have spicy foods. If you want to ease your symptoms, you could eat more slowly, cut back on spicy food, and take short walks after meals. Besides that, drink enough water.

I am a 26 year old female and I have been suffering from chronic fissure for the last 6 months. I have been on homeopathic medication for last 5 months and I have recovered fully almost but last few days ago I suffered from constipation and due to strain in my bowel movement, the fissure was back with a little pain and pricking discomfort while passing stool.
Female | 26
Fissures are small tears in the lining of the anus and can be extremely painful. Doing this is most effective if you keep your stool soft, drink plenty of water, eat foods that are high in fiber, and use stool softeners if necessary. The bathroom should be straining-free during your period of healing.

I m 40 years old. I m suffering from fissure in anus. It gives me pain
Male | 40
Fissures are little rips in the skin around the anus. Passing hard stools, diarrhea, or inflammatory bowel disease can cause them. To heal the fissure, drink plenty of water, eat foods high in fiber, and use stool softeners. You might need creams or ointments too so that it does not hurt as much and heals faster.

She is 2years 7months old baby. She is facing constipation problem (3days / 2days once) the stole also very hard while coming out. She is very struggling because of it. Am giving spinach weekly thrice and giving vegetables daily in her meal. Apple everyday. She is not comfortable in chewing it and taking lot of time so am offering her in smoothy form.
Female | 2
Constipation means less number of bowel movements or finding of it difficult to do so. This can happen due to the lack of fiber and water in the diet. You did a good job with spinach, veggies, and apple. You can also try giving her more water and whole grains along with her meals.

Male | 21
If the roko tablets weren't helpful, it could be an infection, food poisoning, or a stomach bug. Moreover, drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Eating simple foods like rice, toast, and bananas will also help. If it continues, it's best to visit a gastroenterologist.
