When should I start mifepristone for abortion at 7 weeks?
Hi doctors i m 7 weeks pregnant and i wanted to abort this pregnancy.i decided to abort it on 7 of May so should i start taking mifepristone from now on or should i take it on 7 itself and what will be doses of mifepristone and misopristone?
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 19th July '24
If you want to end a pregnancy at seven weeks, you should start the process on May 7th. First, you will take a pill called mifepristone. This is usually one dose. Next, you will take another pill called misoprostol to finish the procedure. Your gynecologist will tell you how much of each pill to take. You may have cramps and bleeding, which is normal.

Female | 21
Women who are pregnant make a hormone called hCG. This is the reason why pregnancy tests can find it. Some drugs can also cause a light second line on the test. If your gynecologist says you can't get pregnant, trust them.

My period came before the date and since then it has lasted for ten days now, I have pains in my lower abdomen and fever, fatigue and headache since then
Female | 39
Your period coming early and lasting for a long time, along with lower abdomen pain, fever, fatigue, and headache, could be a sign of pelvic inflammatory disease. This is when the germs get into the reproductive organs. To feel better, you should drink enough water, get a good night's sleep, and take pain medications that can be bought without a prescription. It is necessary to visit a gynecologist for the correct diagnosis and treatment.

I am 22 years old and my period is delayed 3 days so how can I get my period
Female | 22
It's okay, sometimes it's absolutely normal that periods can be delayed without any consequent harm, just wait before you start to worry about it. Stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances might be the culprits. Keeping track of any other symptoms you might have like cramps or mood swings can help a lot. Drinking plenty of water, eating healthy food, and sleeping enough might help you make your period regular.

I missed my period on 14 th feb. I met my husband on 3rd feb. Still I'm not getting period sir What actually issue??
Female | 27
If you have missed your period after intercourse, it is important to take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as a possible cause of delayed period. If the test is negative, then other factors such as stress, hormonal imbalances, or underlying medical conditions may be the cause. It is recommended to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Sex karne k baad pds nhi aye or sex karne k bad 20 ve din me pregnancy kit se check Kiya to negative tha kya kre
Female | Roshani
The chances are that your period didn't come if you had sex and the pregnancy test on the 20th day was negative. Other than that, there might be other reasons. Stress and hormones or health issues are the major elements affecting your menstrual cycle. Make a note of all the symptoms you feel and take it easy for one week. If your period still has not happened, repeat the pregnancy test or see a gynecologist for more help.

I am 15 year old female with right breast pain for 3 weeks. What do I do?
Female | 15
If you are a young woman, breast pain could signify many things. For example, it could just mean that your body is responding to hormonal changes during puberty. On the other hand, these feelings might indicate some injury or infection – they could also be associated with having a cyst in one or both breasts. You should visit a healthcare professional who will then be able to examine and advise accordingly on proper management tactics for dealing with any discomfort related specifically to mammary glands that may arise.

Pregnant! By how many months? I have had swollen feet, boobs are producing milk already(leaking), allot of pressure on bladder, allot of kicking. Cant afford to do ultrasound. This is 4 pregnancy now
Female | 32
From what you've shared, it seems you're around 7 to 8 months pregnant. Swelling feet and breasts producing milk are normal late in pregnancy. The baby pushing down on your bladder and kicking frequently also happen this far along. But to know exactly how far along you are and make sure everything is OK, see a gynecologist. Remember to drink lots of water and take care of yourself.

I am unmarried My period late 9 days ,I had intercourse 64 days ago . August 12 I got my period and August 19 I make intercourse after that September 14 I got periods later October 14 was my periods days but today October 22 my period is not came I have taken pregnancy test at October 23 result is negative I don't have any symptoms and last month I had fasting at night for 3 weeks is this the reason for my period late their is chance for pregnant
Female | 21
Stress, changes in the diet, or fasting sometimes can cause the delay of your period. Since your negative pregnancy test and the absence of any symptoms make the pregnancy case less likely, it's almost impossible for you to be pregnant. Just give it some more time. Do remember that you have to take care of yourself, eat well, and try to be relaxed. It's always good to talk to a gynecologist if your period still doesn't come, or if you have any concerns.

Hi, i got my last periods on February 28th after that i had intercouse only once on 6th of march and we use pull out method, usually i got periods 4 days earlier from the last periods which means on march 24th. Mostly but not always. I'm anxious about pregnancy. I want to avoid pregnancy. It's a month of fasting my diet sleeping pattern everything changed. What maybe the reason for delay in periods. And what should i do to get my periods immediately. I need to wait for few more days or can i use some natural contraceptive methods. Can you please suggest me.
Female | 28
Periods delay may happen due to reasons of stress, diet change, or irregular sleep patterns. If you have concern then go for a pregnancy test. I will propose you to go to a gynaecologist for the same. It is advisable to approach a specialist in case of any health condition and do not count on natural contraceptive methods since they are not fully reliable.

I’m currently 18 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I’ve been having pains down there for about the last 2 weeks is this normal?
Female | 26
Pain in the lower abdomen during pregnancy can be a common factor during 18 weeks due to the various changes in your body. The main reason could be round ligament pain, which is like a stretching feeling in your belly. This is the fact of the uterus growing. Rest, move slowly, and try a warm bath for relief. But if the pain worsens or other symptoms occur, contact your gynecologist.

Always feeling like wanted something to eat.Feeling hunger sometime after eating .but having dizziness.I am 6 week pregnant
Female | 26
During pregnancy, your body goes through changes. You may feel hungry often and dizzy. This is because your blood sugar levels drop. To avoid this, eat small meals frequently. Have healthy snacks like fruits and nuts. Drink lots of water too. This helps keep your blood sugar stable. It also keeps you hydrated. If the symptoms continue or get worse, talk to your gynecologist. Your doctor can guide you better.

hey doc i have been having a pain in my outer area of vagina but i have never had sex before what could be the problem please advice
Female | 24
Nerve sensitivity might be why the pain has been occurring, which is called vulvodynia, in the area. A skin rash, an infection, or tight-fitting clothes could be among other probable culprits. To help the pain, wearing loose, cotton underwear, avoiding soaps that irritate, and using a cold compress may be soothing. The discomfort should be reported to a gynecologist if it does not go away or gets worse.

It is crucial to keep that area clean to avoid any infections. The pain and cut you are feeling might be irritated by nail contact. Gently clean the area by using warm water and don't use any creams without telling your doctor first. If the pain stays or you see any redness or swelling, it's better to go to a gynecologist for the right diagnosis and treatment.

I am 16 year old girl. My name is Gul Jain. I am having pain in my breast and it has spread from breast to shoulder, armpit, neck and I am having shortness of breathing and I have consulted an endocrine he gave me paracetamol, a pain relief gel and tamoxifen 10 mg table, But did not get any relief and my breast is also heavy.

• Breast pain can be associated with anything from Fibrocystic breast changes, menstruation related cyclic pain, pregnancy, breastfeeding, side effects of certain medications, infection such as mastitis to inflammatory breast cancer.
• Heaviness of breast is because of various reasons such as large breasts, breast cysts, mastitis, pain originating from chest wall or pectoral muscles but not related to breasts and in rare cases associated with Breast cancer.
Further investigation is required in your case so as to confirm the cause behind the breast pain which include:
Mammogram - Mammogram may assist you in diagnosis where in case the doctor feels a breast lump or unusual thickening or detects a focused area of pain your breast tissue, an x-ray of breast will help in evaluating the area of concern.
Breast examination - In which health care provider will examine your breasts as well as the lymph nodes in your lower neck and underarm for changes and will most likely listen to your heart and lungs and examine your chest and belly to see whether the discomfort is caused by another ailment. If your medical history, breast exam, and physical exam find nothing out of the ordinary, you may not require any extra testing.
Ultrasound - An ultrasound exam, which employs sound waves to create pictures of your breasts, is frequently performed in conjunction with a mammogram. Even if the mammography seems normal, you may require an ultrasound to check a specific location of discomfort.
Biopsy of the breast - Suspicious breast lumps, thickening regions, or unusual areas observed during imaging scans may require a biopsy before your doctor can establish a diagnosis. During a biopsy, your doctor collects a tiny sample of breast tissue from the affected region and sends it to a lab for investigation.
• Tamoxifen is usually prescribed in treatment of patients who have cancerous growth in the breast.
• Breast tenderness can be managed with application of warm or cold compresses, occasional use of pain killers, low fat and high complex carbohydrate involved diet and limiting the consumption of alcohol and caffeine.
Consult a Gynecologist for further investigations and treatment.

I am a 21 year old girl I have been having symptoms like sweating a lot, fast heart rate, late period, blurry vision and seeing floaters, headaches and fatigue for the past 2 years, it usually happens once every month
Female | 21
You are probably having a condition called hyperthyroidism. This can cause some unusual symptoms such as excessive sweating, rapid heart rate, tardy periods, blurry vision and floaters, headaches, and tiredness. The thyroid gland produces too much hormone elevating these symptoms. Treatment entails the use of medication for the patients that will help the hormones return to normal levels. Go to a gynecologist for further assessment and the recommended treatment options.

I had my lmp on 8th april 2024 and did my first cycle of IUI on 23rd April. This morning spotted bleeding brownish in colour. What could be the reason for this or still I have chances for Pregnancy?
Female | 33
The thing you have could be what’s termed implantation bleeding, which can occur when a fertilized egg attaches itself to your uterus lining. It is common during early pregnancy and might result in light brown spotting. This shows that your body is getting ready for pregnancy, so try not to worry too much about it. Monitor for any other signs such as cramps or heavy flow. You might want to talk with a gynecologist if there are any concerns on your part.

I would like some more information on ectopic pregnancy
Female | 19
A fertilized egg implanting and developing outside the uterus, often in the fallopian tubes, is a serious medical condition known as an ectopic pregnancy. In rare cases, it can occur in other areas like the ovary or abdominal cavity. As the pregnancy progresses, it can lead to pain, bleeding, and life-threatening complications for the woman. Ectopic pregnancies cannot reach full term and pose a significant risk to the woman's health. If not treated, they can cause the fallopian tube or the organ where the pregnancy is located to rupture, resulting in severe internal bleeding.
