Could a 2 kg weight drop cause thumb pain?
Hi I have started to experience pain in my hard under thumb on the wrist, 6 months ago I dropped a 2 kg weight from 6ft in height it’ feel off and landed on my hand and then 4 months after started to experience pain and now a a abnormal lump come up on wrist on base of thumb

You may have gotten a ganglion cyst when that weight dropped. Too much pressure on your wrist joint makes fluid bubble up under the skin. The bubble's like a little bump that hurts. Try icing it, take pain meds you can buy without a prescription. If the problem stays bad or gets worse, check with an orthopedist about fixing it.

Dr, In 2014 I had a scooty accident and broke my left hand bone just above my elbow,at that time from the nearest hospital I had the surgery and got treated with metal plates supporting the bone and from then on I couldn't move my hand freely through the elbow. Resting, elevating the lower limb, using ice, and probably a brace could be an excellent start for a cure. In some situations, physiotherapy or surgery might be required for the knee to become stronger and better. You mustn't put any weight on the leg with the problem no matter what until an orthopedist advises the opposite.
