Should I worry after open wound injury without plaster?
I am 35 years old, was playing football and got injured in the knee and hand, some blood came out, I let it to dry 10 mins then went to wash with water and soap, unfortunately I didn't have plaster, I went home with the injury open to the air, I tried to minimize interactions with anything in the transportation and I am almost 100 sure, I didn't touch anything, once I went home I put beta din and sterilizer, my question shall I worry about anything in case I touched anything, what could i have done better, now I will always keep plaster and medical stuff with me

Keep the wound clean and monitor for any signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or increased pain. You did well by cleaning the wound and applying Betadine. It's good practice to carry a small first aid kit with plasters and antiseptics for such situations. If you notice any signs of infection or concerned, it's best to consult an orthopedic specialist to ensure proper healing and care.

If my toe is purple does that mean it's broke
Female | 29
Sometimes a purple toe might indicate that it's broken. Other symptoms of a broken toe include pain, swelling, and failure of the toe to move. A few of the reasons your toe may be hurting is you dropped something heavy on it or hit it hard. To make it easier, rest your toe, apply ice, elevate it, and take pain medicine. If the pain is strong, you should contact an orthopedist.

Conclusion: Hypointense fracture of the metaphysis of the tibia proximally with stress edema of the bone. Moderate suprapatellar and minor intra-articular effusion. Irritation of suprapatellar fat. ACL femoral condyle distension. Possible partial rupture of the anterior root of the lateral meniscus. Distension of the proximal tibiofibular joint.
Female | 27
After going through your tests, it looks like the shinbone is fractured near the joint with a gradually progressive fracture inside the bone. Besides, there is liquid in the knee with some tension in the fat pad over the patella. The anterior ligament of the knee may be strained and the meniscus, a disc in the knee, may have a minor tear. The bones are separated, namely the shinbone, and the smaller leg bones are stretched. This will bring about pain, swelling, and at times impaired mobility of the knee. Resting, elevating the lower limb, using ice, and probably a brace could be an excellent start for a cure. In some situations, physiotherapy or surgery might be required for the knee to become stronger and better. You mustn't put any weight on the leg with the problem no matter what until an orthopedist advises the opposite.

Waking up with pins and needles, muscle cramps, shaking pain, and cold sensations on your thighs can be symptoms of Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). RLS triggers a tickling sensation and the urge to move your legs. To manage these symptoms, try gentle exercises, and warm baths, and ensure you get enough good sleep. Specific medications may also help. It's important to contact an orthopedist who can diagnose and suggest the right treatment for these issues.

I am 16 years old and my left knee joint is paining from yesterday night and I haved X ray the joint can you check my x ray and tell me what is the problem
Male | 16
The knee joint has a little swelling. This swelling could happen due to an injury, for instance, a sprain or strain, or perhaps an overuse. The pain you are suffering from is the common symptom of this inflammation. To aid your condition, I suggest you rest your knee, apply ice, and do easy workouts to develop the muscles around your knee. If the pain remains, you may have to visit an orthopedist to make sure everything is fine.

Hey I’m getting a weird feeling in my right foot it comes a goes but it feels like a pulse movement it feels weird I’m not sure what it is
Female | 24
You might be feeling a throbbing sensation in your right foot. The constriction of blood vessels or the poor circulation of that area can be the cause. In rare instances, stress, anxiety, or the overconsumption of caffeine, may lead to the same feeling. Walk around and try to keep your foot upright for a while. Talking to an orthopedist is advisable if the feeling persists or gets worse.

Your symptoms are similar to osteoarthritis. This condition occurs when the protective cartilage in the joints wears down over time, causing pain and stiffness. Your doctor may recommend physical therapy, lifestyle changes, or surgery to manage symptoms. Continue monitoring your symptoms and contact your doctor if you experience any new or worsening symptoms.

I had a question I was eating and accidentally put to much sugar and my back being hurting for the pass 4 days
Male | 17
Eating too many sweet things can make your back hurt. Sugar can make your body inflamed, and that leads to pain in your back. You should eat less sweet foods and drinks. Eat more fruits, veggies, and whole grains instead. Drink lots of water too. Light exercise might also help your back feel better. If you don't feel relieved, contact an orthopedist.

I am having tailbone pain for almost 3 weeks. The pain is sometimes sharp sometimes it goes away, I am quite tensed about it as tailbone pain relates to some serious diseases. I have consulted my family doctor, he said it's nothing serious. But the pain comes and sometimes it is very sharp, it is hampering my daily routine and work.
Male | 31
Most cases of tailbone pain are not serious but if the pain is severe and affecting your routine then you can always seek a second opinion from a specialist.. such as an orthopedic doctor or pain management specialist.

Experiencing a sensation of 'pulling' in your leg is like your nerves telling you something is wrong. This could be due to nerve damage or excessive strain. Identifying any damage or muscle stretching that might be causing these sensations is important. Take a break, use ice for swelling, and gently stretch the area. If there's no improvement, consult an orthopedist for a closer examination.

Possible that you got an infection that can bring fever, and inflate your infected leg even when you are not injured. They are infectious illnesses that result when noxious bacteria infest us. Relax, take in plenty of fluids, and support your leg in an elevated position. See an orthopedic specialist for treatment.

Hi Doctor! My mum's spine is fractured and L1 is degenerated, she has been advised to go for spinal surgery by one surgeon, another prescribes its not necessary yet. She also needs hip replacement surgery which according to surgeon is more urgent & should be done first. We are confused and need some expert help on this please. THANK YOU!
Female | 75
Fractures cause pain and limit movement, while spinal degeneration also leads to discomfort. Back pain and difficulty walking are common symptoms. However, hip replacement is a more urgent concern because it significantly impacts mobility. Addressing the hip first, as recommended by the surgeon, could improve the quality of life by alleviating discomfort and mobility issues.

Low back pain down to both legs
Male | 36
Sciatica causes your back nerve to feel squeezed. This makes both legs hurt, tingle, or go numb. You can try resting, using ice packs or heating pads, and gentle stretches. But don't wait too long - if leg pains remain, you should see an orthopedist. Further exams and treatments may be needed to address this common back problem.
