I am 25 years old Female and 6 weeks pregnant at the moment. i am suffering from an infection in my vulva and pubic hair region since 7 years now. It’s something like whitish and cheesy substance in the vulva and blackish dirt like in other remaining hairy region. I scratch it everyday before bathing but it keeps coming back within hours. What should I do?

Hey there! It might be a yeast infection, or perhaps it is a fungal infection in the vulva and pubic hair area as well. The whitish and cheesy substance in the vulva and blackish dirt in the pubic hair region are common symptoms. Yeast infections can be caused by moisture, poor hygiene, or taking antibiotics. The area should be kept clean and dry, wearing cotton underwear, avoiding harsh soaps, and not scratching it to prevent further irritation from the above. Over-the-counter antifungal creams might work but you can also consult a dermatologist.

Please I've been over sweating this past week, I don't know why. I sweat a lot in sunny conditions, but this time it's soo much worse I don't know why. My height is 5 feet 5 and my weight is 90kg. Please what do you think the problem is?

Female | 22

Hyperhidrosis may be warned by profuse sweating, specially in sunny days. But one must rule out any underlying medical condition such as thyroid or inflammatory disease. I advise you to visit a dermatologist for assessment and diagnosis. They can offer treatments and guidance on the condition’s management.

Hello I'm chandana from India and I'm 25 years old.I have been struggling with numerous facial skin issues, including dark spots, large open pores, pimples, wrinkles, fine lines, and marks, for the past nine years. Despite trying various products, nothing has proven effective. As a result, I am losing confidence in social situations, and I feel that people are not favorably inclined toward me. I seek a solution to these persistent problems.

I understand your concerns about facial skin issues. It's important to see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Male | 21

Experiencing painful cracked corners of mouth, a condition which is also known as angular stomatitis, might be intolerable. This kind of condition might be brought about by a number of reasons such as vitamin deficiency, yeast infection, or drooling. The main symptoms involve the appearances of redness, swelling, and sores at the corners of the mouth. Ways to get it healed include keeping the area dry, applying the lip balm, and eating a balanced diet that has fruits and vegetables high in vitamins.

Hello doctor , a cold sore under nose has left dark mark what to do regarding it

Female | 26

You have a dark mark left after a cold sore under your nose. A herpes simplex virus causes a cold sore. The sore is a part of the healing process, but it can leave behind a dark spot. This is the usual case. To help it fade, you can try using a cream with ingredients like vitamin C or kojic acid. Sunscreen use is always the first and essential skincare routine. With time, it should get better.

I have a bad case of chaffing and heat rash on my personal areas..I got cream that works at home in the AC.. but when I'm at work in the heat it flares back up... What can I do??

Male | 43

You are likely experiencing a heat rash and chafing in your private areas. This usually happens because perspiration becomes trapped against the skin thereby irritating. Signs may include redness, itching, and sometimes little bumps. To assist with this, tighten any loose-fitting clothes, stay cool, and ensure it’s dry down there. Apply some soothing ointment and be sure to take breaks if possible.

My boyfriend has an infected wound in his calf which started of as a small itchy spot that later became a red spot and later an infected wound that's made his the surrounding area swollen right down to his ankles. The glands in his groin are now painful too. Please advise what type of antibiotic would be suitable for this?

Male | 41

Your boyfriend may have a severe skin infection that’s spreading. The redness, swelling, and pain—coupled with swollen glands in the groin—indicate that it might be a bacterial infection. To cure this, he may require a course of antibiotics such as penicillin or cephalosporin which can help to fight off the infection. It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to avoid further complications.

Hi Doctor, I'm experiencing a recurring skin issue. It starts as a small red dot, which then develops into a sore, causing skin damage. The sore heals after 2-3 weeks, but instead of resolving, the condition spreads to a new location just above the previous sore.

Male | 24

You may have a skin condition known as impetigo. It is usually first seen as a red point and develops into an ulcer thereafter ten days or so, and is finally healed. It may also spread to other skin areas on the body. This is the result of bacteria entering the body through small cuts or sores. In a clean environment, and with the help of antibiotic ointment, the skin can be healed.
