Should I Have a Neurosurgeon Perform Achilles Tendon Surgery in Tanzania?
I am located in Tanzania. I have ruptured my Achilles tendon. I know I need to have surgery. My concern is I have no feeling in the bottom of my foot, the doctors here want to do the tendon surgery and are saying the damaged nerves may repair themselves. I don't know if that is true or if I should have a neurosurgeon do the surgery.

The nerves that are damaged could heal by themselves with time but it is advisable to seek guidance from a specialist on how best to handle this situation. If you don't want to go ahead with surgery, have a second opinion from a neurosurgeon and based on that take the decision right for you.

Talking alopathyic medicine for bp & stroke. In this case can take ayurvedic medicines for insomnia
Male | 64
Insomnia makes it hard to fall or stay asleep. Stress, medicines, and health issues can cause it. Be careful taking ayurvedic insomnia meds with allopathic blood pressure or stroke drugs. Always talk to your doctor before trying new medicines. This prevents interactions and side effects. Communicate clearly with your healthcare provider.

Does levonorgestrel effective if I'm under epilepsy medication
Female | 22
Levonorgestrel is generally effective, even if someone is taking medication for epilepsy. However, you need to be aware that some anticonvulsants can influence hormones and, as a result, make contraceptives less effective. Warning signs include unexpected bleeding or changes in the menstrual cycle. The best way to ensure that you are fully protected is to discuss your situation with a neurologist too. They may propose other methods or additional protection that matches your special requirements.

Hello! I didn't sleep for 6 days consecutivly had a headace in half of my right head so I went to the hospital and they gave me antipsychotics and a drug to sleep (but I think I shouldn't have taken the antipsychotics ) after a month I stopped the antipsychotics and I had a strong headace in the same half of my head again for days and it got worse with strong sounds and me getting angry or crying. I had also a strong headace in the parietal region like a needle punture in pain but not that small from time to time. I took some painkillers but now I wake up everyday with a headace in the right half of my head it goes till the forehead it goes away when I eat but I still have during the day the painful parietal headace and I saw a worsening of my memory .What should I do ?

See a neurologist for your headaches, which may be due to migraine, temporal arteritis, trigeminal neuralgia, sleep deprivation, or medication use.

I have been having headache for 2 weeks now. I have a constant pain on my forehead, then around my eyebrows, around my eyes, along the sides of my nose bridge, then at the back and sides of my head and behind my ears. I feel like my forehead and face have swollen up whenever I'm having this headache. On most of the days, this will be there right from the time I wake up in the morning itself and would be there till afternoon and on some days, it would not be there in the morning, but would start in the afternoon. This also keeps coming during each of my travel times as well. Sometimes I have nausea also along with this headache, this mostly happens when this headache is in the afternoon or evening. Sometimes, I have leg pain also. And on each day, after I wake up in the morning, I would be having a blocked nose, some small amount of mucus and sneezing as well.
Female | 24
It sounds like you may be experiencing sinus-related headaches, which can cause pressure in the forehead, face, and around the eyes. Symptoms like nausea, nasal congestion, and sneezing suggest inflammation, possibly due to allergies or infection. Staying hydrated, using a humidifier, and trying over-the-counter pain relief may help. However, since your headaches have persisted for two weeks, I encourage you to consult a neurologist for a thorough evaluation.

I am having headache and feeling dizzy in the morning suggest something
Male | 23
These signs may arise from many different causes. One possible reason could be dehydration caused by not drinking enough water or inadequate sleep. In some cases, the morning headache can also be caused by breakfast skipping. Pay attention to your diet, include plenty of water and try to sleep well. When the symptoms do not go away, it is good to ask a doctor for help.

Paralysis of legs due to Bone tb Treatment is going on(6months) Reports ESR test suggests that the infection is very low now
Male | 47
It is a gradual process, and it might take some time to observe meaningful results. But the low ESR test is a good sign, therefore meaning that infection has been controlled. I recommend a neurologist consultation to assess the nature and origin of paralysis which can be treated accordingly.

I have a Fit or seizure problem. First time I suffered from this. I don't know what to do? Which treatment should I take?
Female | 34
Seizures can be sporadic events that occur when the brain has abnormal neuron activity. Symptoms may involve body shaking, temporary loss of consciousness, or disorientation. One should immediately get diagnosed by a neurologist, who will then conduct various tests such as an EEG. The use of medications or lifestyle changes to successfully lay hold on seizure occurrences will be the primary treatment option.

I am a neuro patient,I am suffering from brain tumour,I have undergone radiosurgery proton beam therapy, But now I feel mentally very week,I am a service holder but I am not able to take work pressure So I want to know is there any solution of these problem
Female | 46
You find yourself to be mentally down as a result of the treatment, which was proton beam therapy for your brain tumor. This is a natural outcome because the treatment hurts the healthy brain tissue. Some usual symptoms are fatigue, memory problems, and a problem concentrating. Make sure you rest, eat the right foods, and keep in contact with your healthcare team. Alongside counseling, look into this support program for a solution.

Maybe your friend will be feeling that she/he is very sleepy, very dizzy, or may lose consciousness. This occurs because the body is overwhelmed by the drug. Hi. I feel something like “tap tap” in my head for four months. Like teitching but i dont know. In my muscle above ear. Its occasionally and when is here it stopped by istelf in same day after few hours. It started in the morning after wake up but no everyday. Im so sfraid of my life. Is this life threatening condition? Please help me!
Male | 22
It's understandable to feel concerned about the sensations you’re experiencing. The “tap tap” feeling above your ear may be due to muscle spasms or tension in that area. This can happen from stress, fatigue, or posture issues. While it's likely not life-threatening, I recommend scheduling an appointment with a neurologist to discuss your symptoms in detail. They can provide a thorough examination and suggest appropriate treatments, such as relaxation techniques or physical therapy, if necessary.

I am suffering from 20 years headache and vomiting .Now I am taking medicine with my psychiatrist phycian. Some time I feel batter after taking medicine and some time I feel bad.
Female | 43
It is possible to have headaches and nausea coming from different causes such as stress, tension, or medical disorders that are hidden. The likelihood that your pain changes with medicine implies that either the dose or the type needs to be altered. I recommend you communicate constantly with your psychiatrist to manage the problem efficiently. Keeping a symptom diary is one way to determine the patterns and triggers. Alternatively, try mind-body exercises or changes in lifestyle as they will undoubtedly help to get relief. You can consult a neurologist for advice.

Different things could lead to headaches, such as stress, dehydration, or lack of sleep. Please try drinking some water, staying in a calm place, and taking some deep breaks. Also, it is better to avoid being on screens for a while. Pack some regular meals and snacks as well. If the headache is still there or more severe, please seek medical help from a neurologist.
