Currently, 3 clinical procedures are available to help you get rid of dark circles:
Skin lightening creams: they help in toning down the hyperpigmentation underneath your eyes.
Laser therapy: heat of intense ray of light vaporizes damaged cells prevalent under your eyes.
Chemical peel: a mixture of certain acids which are beneficial for your skin, is applied to your skin to peel off later on.
Additionally, there are minor surgeries too, one entails removal of fat from the lids of your eyes if their shadow makes it seem as if you have dark circles, which is known as blepharoplasty, and another is concerned with injecting certain acids into the tissues under your eyes, as recommended by trained specialists, so as to overcome volume loss under your eyes, they are known as fillers.

Questions & Answers on "Dermatologyy" (2089)

My mother has developed red patches on skin all over her body. Initially it occurs as a small red patch and then it widens and spreads . These red patches have occurred on her neck, breast, tummy, legs, head, back, elbow , everywhere. She has also developed cuts on her finger. It itches and burns very much. What is the diagnosis of this skin disease?

Female | 55

Your description of the symptoms leads me to believe that your mother has a skin condition called eczema. Eczema is characterized by the appearance of red, itchy patches on the skin. It can be caused or aggravated by certain substances or environmental factors. To alleviate the symptoms, it is necessary to maintain the skin's hydration and avoid irritants. Using mild soaps and wearing comfortable, breathable clothes can also be helpful.

Treatment for open pores

Female | 26

One of the most frequent concerns facing people is the openness of the pores. Open pores can cause rough and uneven skin. The causes of these pores usually include genetics, oiliness, sunburn, and even old age. One of the ways to decrease the face of open pores is to use salicylic acid or retinoids for day and night skin treatment. Regular cleansing of your face followed by application of sunscreen can also be helpful.

I need some help not sure what to do. Not so long ago I noticed some wierd looking lines on my lower back, I figured it might be from the seats at school as they have pretty sharp wooden supports that when leaned on might make dents like that. But it has been a couple of weeks and these marks are not going away. Not I'm not so sure if it is the seats cause that would normally be gone In a couple days. If I could compare it to anything they are horizontal lines some longer some shorter, a couple of them and (it might sound a little bizarre) but they look somewhat like stab wound scars or something similar, atlast from my point of view.

It is advised to see a dermatologist who will inspect the site and give a prescribed diagnosis. They may also give treatments options that can be used to lessen the lines visibility.

Please I've been over sweating this past week, I don't know why. I sweat a lot in sunny conditions, but this time it's soo much worse I don't know why. My height is 5 feet 5 and my weight is 90kg. Please what do you think the problem is?

Female | 22

Hyperhidrosis may be warned by profuse sweating, specially in sunny days. But one must rule out any underlying medical condition such as thyroid or inflammatory disease. I advise you to visit a dermatologist for assessment and diagnosis. They can offer treatments and guidance on the condition’s management.

Am 35 year old Getting white head like pimples on forehead

Female | 35

Those whiteheads on your forehead are probably a type of acne called comedones. The hair follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells. Skin conditions can be accompanied by small, white bumps. One way is to use mild face washes with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide which can help remedy the clogged pores.

Pigmentation is not treated quickly. It takes a while for treatments to work. But you can visit a dermatologist and discuss this. Based on your particular condition, he may suggest some alternative treatments that may work for you like chemical peels, laser treatments, topical creams etc. Hope this helps.
