I am suffering from vitiligo since almost 10 years. The patch is not spreading and is only at one place on my left cheek. Since it is not spreading, i would prefer for surgery might be melanocyte transplantation, the one i found from google, if not this might be as advised by doctors. Would like to know what would be the cost and time of cure for this. The patch will be utmost 2cm dia.

The white spots or patches seen on skin due to vitiligo, is caused by the event of immune cells crawling into the skin and killing melanocytes (also known as pigment producing factories). To counter that, this treatment could be efficient, especially if the immune system isn't actively attacking your skin, but if your vitiligo becomes unstable at any point, and which is not predictable even for the doctors, then this treatment wouldn't work the way you intended for it to. This should be a safe procedure otherwise with minimal recovery time and barely any side effects except possible pain and/or redness. The melanin will be extracted from your normal skin and cultured in lab to provide more cells and then cover your patches through transplant.
The cost can fall within the range of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 1,00,000, and sometimes exceed further, depending upon the area to be covered, technique used, and location as well as infrastructure of the clinic, along with the expertise of doctor.
The procedure should take 2 to 4 hours, the post treatment care would require at least one week's worth of your attention, but the results would show up after few weeks.

I am 25 year old women. My hairfall was extreme from april and i can see a lot of hairs on my pillow floors and they were so fragile and now it has reduced but my scalp is visible under light. I had pcos and in january i had passed a large blood clot with sever pain in palvis but now my periods are also normal. I had extreme emotional stress as my mother was severly ill. I am concerned about my hair my hairline is intact but top and crown area is affected and diffuse thinning is there

Female | 25

Hair loss can be caused by stress, hormonal imbalances, or health issues like PCOS. In your case, the shedding might be related to these factors. The good news is that it should improve as your menstrual cycle regulates. Eating well, managing stress, and self-care will help your hair grow back stronger.

Doctor, my hair falls a lot and breaks. Can you tell me the solution so that my hair starts growing and becomes silky?

Female | 15

This can happen from things such as stress, poor diet, or using harsh hair products. To grow your hair and make it silky again, try eating a well-rounded diet full of fruits and vegetables along with drinking plenty of water. Also, use gentle sulfate-free shampoos, conditioners, and other styling products on your locks.

I am a 67 year old female. I’m trying to determine if I have shingles. I have a small red area on my hip, it was slightly itchy when I discovered it this morning, but not since. So far, there’s no blisters, and it has not spread.

Skin atrophy is the thinning of the skin and it can happen for different reasons like aging, steroid abuse, or some medical conditions. Skin atrophy is the major issue and it is necessary to use gentle lotions and creams to keep your skin moisturized to solve it. Refrain from harsh chemicals and cover your skin from the sun. Eating a balanced meal full of vitamins and minerals can also help your skin. Always bear in mind that the major reason for taking good care of the skin is for the overall well-being of the body.

I am 33 years old .I am suffering from PCOD & now I am facing hair fall problem in badly .can you help me to grow new hair

Female | 33

PCOD can trigger the hormonal imbalance which in turn causes hair loss. Some signs are irregular menstruation and acne. To promote new hair growth, you can try consuming a balanced diet full of fruits and vegetables, controlling stress, and keeping a normal weight. You may talk to your doctor about possible therapies for hair growth as well.

Painless lumps in neck. Moveable, been there a while

Female | 16

If the lumps move around easily, they're likely harmless. These lumps might be caused by swollen glands, cysts, or fatty tissue. If there are no changes or issues, just keep an eye on them. However, if they start getting bigger, it's important to see a doctor.

What happened if I accidentally swallow 3 pouches of cool lip? What are medthods to prevent this?

Male | 30

Swallowing three of those cool lip pouches could be harmful. The pouches contain chemicals that may cause stomachaches, nausea, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. Make sure such products are always kept away from children and animals. If someone does this, have them drink lots of water to dilute what they gulped down and call Poison Control right away.
