It's normal to have cramps after a surgical abortion. It is sometimes seen that your body needs time to finish healing. Abdominal cramps and pelvic pain might happen because your uterus is adjusting. Besides, you might have a positive result of infection. If the pain is getting stronger or the fever is high, call a gynecologist. Resting, drinking water, and a warm compress can help relieve the discomfort.

Can I take Norethisterone tablet to postpone my periods
Female | 23
Norethisterone tablets postpone periods, maintaining uterine lining over extended duration. Short-term usage is safe. However, potential side effects mirror menstrual symptoms: abdominal discomfort, headaches, nausea. Strictly adhere to the physician's prescribed dosage instructions to circumvent complications.

Hello, Doctor. My sister recently had an abortion, and we're looking for clarification on the results. Could you please explain the outcome and any follow-up steps or care she should take?"
Female | 22
After an abortion, women commonly take days or weeks to have bleeding, which is completely normal. Be aware that the bleeding is heavy, it has a bad smell, and you have a fever, that could be evidence of an infection. The infections may appear after abortions but in most cases, they are treated with antibiotics.

Female | 23
Not having periods when they are due, throwing up, being weary, sensitivity in the chest area, and frequent urination may indicate that someone is pregnant. Feeling like one is pregnant might also come from anxiety, hormonal imbalances, or other medical conditions. Make sure to use a pregnancy kit.

I am having vaginal itching with unusual discharge since last month.
Female | 22
It seems that you have vaginal itching as well as an unusual discharge which can be brought about by several different things. This could mean there is a yeast infection where too much yeast is present in your body. Bacterial infections are other common causes or even sexually transmitted diseases (STIs). You should go for a checkup with a gynecologist who will give the right diagnosis and prescribe proper treatment methods for you.

I have two periods in one month with heavy bleeding with cloths
Female | 20
Experiencing two menstrual cycles within a month, especially with heavy bleeding and clotting, can be concerning but isn't uncommon. Several factors, such as hormonal imbalances, stress, or underlying conditions like fibroids, may contribute to this situation. I recommend keeping track of your symptoms, including timing and intensity. It's essential to consult with your gynecologist for a personalized evaluation and to discuss your experiences. They can perform necessary tests to identify any underlying issues and suggest suitable treatment options.

Period symptoms don’t usually include stomach aches, but it seems that’s what you’re going through. Weakness, dizziness, and fatigue may be low iron in the blood or hormonal changes. Ensure you take a healthy diet consisting of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Apart from that, drink enough water and have a good sleep. Should these symptoms persist, seeking medical attention for further investigation is vital.

Yesterday I felt pain In my pelvic and I saw small blood and assumed my menstrual period is here, but after that tiny drop of blood I haven't seen any other drop and this happened last month too...twas after 3 days that my proper period came and it lasted for 5 days instead of 4 days, what's the cause?? I'm very worried
Female | 30
It's understandable to feel concerned about changes in your menstrual cycle. Light bleeding followed by pelvic discomfort can occur for various reasons, including hormonal fluctuations or impending menstruation. Sometimes, cycles can vary in flow and duration without indicating a serious issue. If this pattern continues or if you experience significant pain, tracking your symptoms and consulting a gynecologist is advisable. They can offer personalized insights and guidance. Remember, open communication with a doctor is key to ensuring your reproductive health and peace of mind.

Hi - I am currently pregnant and need a clarity on my conception date. To give a bit of background- I was on combined contraceptive pills (Ovranette) until 9th of March, when I came off it after finishing a pill pack. I got my withdrawal bleeding on 12th March(which I consider as the first day of myLMP) I tested positive for pregnancy on 11th April when my periods didn’t arrive. I had two ultrasound scan so far - one on 2nd May when the gestation age was measured as 7 weeks 2 days as per ultrasound and the second one on 9th May when the gestation age was measured as 8 weeks 2 days as per ultrasound. Since I conceived the next month after coming off pill, I need some clarity on when did the conception happen. I had 2 times sexual intercourse during this time - one on 12th March (couple of hours before commencing my withdrawal bleeding) and the next one on 23rd March - would like to know which intercourse has resulted in the pregnancy
Female | 32
According to what you’ve said it’s more likely that the sexual intercourse on 23rd March caused your pregnancy. Typically, a pregnancy test becomes positive about 4 weeks after conception which matches the dates. Having taken the pill, you can easily mistake withdrawal bleeding for your normal period. Some symptoms such as positive pregnancy tests and ultrasound findings indicate that it happened after 12th March. The best thing to do now is keep seeing a gynecologist.

I am 5 weeks pregnant experiencing lots of cramping no blood. I have high blood pressure usually 130/80 and higher. My blood pressure rn is 112/76 it’s never been that low. My chest is experiencing pain
Female | 26
It is normal to experience cramping during early pregnancy. However, chest pain along with lower blood pressure warrants caution. Chest pain could stem from heartburn or anxiety, which are common occurrences. While reduced blood pressure in early pregnancy is typically harmless, it is wise to stay hydrated and rest. However, seek immediate medical advice from a gynecologist if the chest pain worsens, or persists, or if dizziness or fainting occurs.

hello doctor, I had unprotected sex on the 29th and 30th of November and my periods were supposed to be on the 14th of December but when my periods got late I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. And yesterday 20th December I put 4 Misoprostol under my tongue and after 4 hours I put another 4 tablets under my tongue. And I started bleeding. Many clots were removed through my vagina. its been 24 hours still clots are coming. Is there any need to take another 4 pills of misoprostol?
Female | 22
The bleeding and the passing of clots you are experiencing could be normal after you take the Misoprostol. Nevertheless, how much to take requires a prescription from a specialized gynecologist. I suggest that you call your doctor and talk about your condition and the potential measures. They will give you personalized advice and will ensure that everything is going well. Since your health and well-being are the primary concern, you should seek professional care to treat your problems effectively.

Can I sleep on my side after week after robotic hysterectomy and having my bladder tacked
Female | 27
After a robotic hysterectomy with bladder tacking, it’s generally advisable to avoid sleeping on your side for at least a few weeks. Side sleeping might cause discomfort or strain on your healing tissues. You may experience sensations like tightness or pain in your abdomen if moving into that position too soon. Instead, try resting on your back with pillows for support. Always listen to your body; if discomfort persists, it’s wise to consult a gynecologist. They can offer personalized advice based on your specific recovery progress.
