It is not so uncommon to have a missed period if you are diagnosed with PCOS. Other causes that may lead to irregular periods can include stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances. If your period still doesn't come in a week, take a pregnancy test or talk to your doctor for guidance. Irregular periods are often part of the PCOS condition, yet a gynecologist can shed more light on your overall health.

Irregular periods ,waight gain
Female | 27
Everyone experiences irregular periods and weight gain sometimes. Periods may arrive early or late, or skip months. This irregularity often results from hormones, stress, or health conditions. Weight fluctuates too due to hormones, food choices, and lack of exercise. Living healthily through balanced eating and staying active helps regulate periods and maintain weight. However, if issues continue long-term, consult a gynecologist. They'll provide guidance to resolve persistent problems.

Hello, on september 18 2 days after my period i had sex without protection, we used pull put method. To be sure after 40 hours i took escapelle. After 5 days i had bleeding and 2 more periods in october and november but this period in december is late.
Female | 26
ESCpelle is 95% effective when taken within 24 hours.. Bleeding is expected after taking it. Three periods indicate low risk of pregnancy.. However, take a PREGNANCY TEST for confirmation.

I'm a girl aged 18 and have been having pain like period cramps and if I get my period I finish in 8 days but the flow will be drops only...It started happening in February this year when I came from Zimbabwe to UK
Female | 18
There have been some changes in your period recently. Physical symptoms like the typical period cramps and light flow are among the leading causes. Stress, changes in diet, the environment you live in, or hormonal imbalances are a few potential causes of this kind of pain. It is a must to exercise self-care, eat well, drink more water, and take rest. If symptoms are there regardless it could be helpful if you get advice from a gynecologist.

Done HSG test, and result is : Bilateral patent tube
Female | 36
This indicates that both of your fallopian tubes are open and functioning properly. This is a positive result as it suggests that there are no blockages or obstructions in your fallopian tubes that could interfere with fertility or conception. It increases the chances of successful natural conception and may be reassuring if you are trying to conceive.

Is taking mifepristone 10 mg effective as an emergency contraceptive pill? I took it hours after having unprotected sex.
Female | 23
Mifepristone is a medication that is typically not used in the 10 mg dose as an emergency contraceptive pill. It may be less beneficial than other methods such as emergency contraceptive pills containing levonorgestrel. Your preventive action is a good step. However, be aware that this may not be effective in preventing pregnancy. In case you experience any abnormal symptoms or if you suspect you are pregnant, it is recommended to visit a gynecologist.

Hi I'm Deepa my last menstrual cycle started on August 10th and again cycle started on September 1st so is there any hormonal imbalance.
Female | 30
The reason for irregular periods could be hormonal imbalance. Some common symptoms of the hormonal imbalance are irregular periods, heavy or light bleeding, and mood swings. Stress, diet, and health conditions can cause these problems. The best way to deal with it is to consult a gynecologist for advice on managing hormonal balance.

I'm getting my periods light than I had before (in my teenage)with cramps on 1st day. Lasts for 2-3 days mostly 2 days now. (I have vitamin d deficiency too)
Female | 22
It is normal to have periods with fluctuations. Sometimes periods can be really light with cramping, and that is a variation.I recommend that you visit a gynecologist, in order to rule out any hormonal imbalance or other medical conditions that may be caused by vitamin D deficiency.

i am on my periods right now! My left breasts looks little bigger than right one! Theres no lump nothing kind of that, no redness as well! Why is that so? Is this normal?
Female | 19
It is not unusual to notice the size of your breast fluctuate due to hormonal cycle changes. Lumps or masses in the breasts may not always have to be the same size but in case of a sudden change, this should be reported to a gynecologist or a specialist in breast disease as a precaution against any underlying disorders.

Then on 9th Nov I got my periods but starting 2-3 day my bleeding was really less but after that the bleeding was proper till 18th Nov. then my period ended properly. But again today on 20th Nov I’m bleeding again really less but still. What does this mean? This is not pregnancy right?
Female | 20
A situation of irregular periods could suddenly arise due to factors such as stress, fluctuations in hormone levels, or even a change in routine. In fact, sometimes periods may be a little irregular. It is advisable to consult a gynecologist immediately if you have other odd problems and bleeding too.

Madam why am I get painful sex and cut if I do intercourse sex with my partner
Female | 43
During sexual intercourse, painful sex and cuts can be caused by a lack of lubrication, infections, or skin conditions. Symptoms may include bleeding, pain, and discomfort. These issues can arise from not being adequately aroused, infections such as yeast or STIs, or sensitive skin membranes. To relieve these problems, consider using lubrication, treating any sexually transmitted infections, and being gentle during sex. It's also beneficial to have an open and gentle discussion with your partner and consider visiting a gynecologist for a general check-up.

And I been pregnant before I had a medicine abortion and last 2 week before I saw my period on 17 of march
Female | 19
After taking abortion pills, periods can become irregular sometimes. Your cycle may require time to adjust. Worries and hormone changes can impact menstrual flow too. If concerned, track your cycle closely for a few months. If irregularity persists, consulting a gynecologist makes sense.

I had protected sex on Feb 8th and taken i-pill and got withdrawal bleeding after 5 days. Then again I had protected sex on Feb 25th and I took i-pill and didn't get the bleeding. Is it because I may get pregnant?
Female | 22
Not getting withdrawal bleeding after taking the i-pill post protected sex doesn't always mean pregnancy. The emergency contraceptive can sometimes affect your menstrual cycle. However, if you're still worried, you can take a home pregnancy test a few weeks later to ease your mind.

Female | 16
If you're unsure whether you might be pregnant, consider taking a home pregnancy test a few days after a missed period for accurate results. Feeling sick could be due to various factors like hormonal changes, stress, or side effects

Hello , im a 19 year old girl , with Polycystic ovary syndrome, i didnt have the period since 4 months, 6 days ago i had unprotected sex and 24 hours later (5days ago) i took Navela levonorgestrel 1.5mg, after taking it by a day (4days ago) i had unprotected sex again and i took a second dose after the second sex (3 days ago) , and i had side effects like bloating , i want to vomit, mood swings and my utteres or lower stomach is a bit over size today i had unprotected sex again and therr was precum present , i already took two doses within this week and i dont know what i should do i am worried that is there a possibility that ill get pregnant? Given all the details and i have pcos and no period since 4 months ? What’s the probability of pregnancy What are all the solutions do i have to avoid pregnancy with all matters ? Because im worried taking levonorgestrel 3rd time will be dangerous and will it help anyways ? Can you please help me Thank you
Female | 19
Your history of polycystic ovary syndrome and irregular periods might manage to create some doubts as to your chances of getting pregnant, however, if you have unprotected sex, the chances of getting pregnant are still possible. It's fantastic that you grabbed the morning-after pill, but the fact that you use it multiple times so close together can lead to side effects and maybe it won't be as effective. The ideal way to steer clear of pregnancy is through the use of regular birth control methods such as pills or condoms. Discussing with a gynecologist is essential for finding the best solution to your situation.

My periods is not stoped after 9 days
Female | 15
Periods usually last around 5-7 days. However, bleeding that continues past 9 days is considered prolonged. This extended menstrual flow could signal hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, or uterine issues. Heavy bleeding leading to fatigue, or a history of irregular cycles, warrants medical attention. A gynecologist can diagnose the underlying cause and recommend treatments to regulate your periods.

Female | 22
Delay of your menstrual period? Sometimes, a period can be late due to stress, a new routine, or some kind of hormonal problem. Also, stopping birth control may cause your period to be irregular. But don't fret, it's a common issue. Wait a little bit more. If your period is still not here, it's a good idea to talk to a gynecologist.

I am a 23 year old female struggling with irregular periods for the last 4 years. I finally recently started getting testting done. An ultrasound revealed several cysts on both ovaries. I had blood work done to check for PCOS. My OB/GYN is on night shift and can't see me. My testosterone was normal. SHBG was high. DHEA Sulfate was low. Trying to find out what these results mean.
Female | 23
Irregular periods, acne, excess hair growth: these are common symptoms of PCOS. High SHBG and low DHEA sulfate levels signal PCOS. Don't worry - treatments exist to help. Birth control pills can manage symptoms, as can lifestyle changes involving diet and exercise. However, see your gynecologist for a full diagnosis and personalized treatment plan. They'll provide guidance and support. With proper care, PCOS is manageable.

I'm not getting my periods for one month. I haven't been in any sexual activity.
Female | 21
If you're missing a period, don't worry. Period changes happen sometimes. And if you haven't had sex, it might be stress or weight issues. You could feel bloated or moody. But if it keeps happening, ask a gynecologist for help.
