Will I get pregnant after taking post pills?
I had sex on the 20th of this month and my last period was on the 27th last month which I took post pills the day after the sex, will I still be pregnant?
Gynecologist
Answered on 9th Oct '24
The above-mentioned period is your last one that happened on the 27th of last month and your sexual intercourse took place on the 20th of this month which leads you to take post pills after which there is a chance you might still be pregnant because those pills are most effective. Pregnancy may cause such symptoms as a missed period, nausea, and breast tenderness. To be sure, take a pregnancy test or speak with a gynecologist.

I am taking unwanted 72 in 3rd January after one week I have spotting and it's continue to 6 days after this I have my period in 3 days here any chance of pregnancy??
Female | 21
No chances of pregnancy because after taking unwanted 72 what happens is, the spotting is result of withdrawal of the hormone progesterone present, that is called withdrawal bleeding after taking unwanted 72. You can also consult the best Gynecologist in Mumbai for further information.

Hello I am pregent pregnancy time 5 month complete almost bht tej pet drd ho rha hai
Female | 21
You may experience belly pain at the 5th month, every person does that. This might be caused by the growth of your baby and the expansion of your muscles apart from this too, your organs have to move so that the baby can get enough space. Try lying on your left side as well as taking some water or even better still have a warm bath. Should there be any increase in ache or appearance of additional symptoms then let your gynecologist know.

Is it safe to have sex two days after period ended and after sex within one hour I took I pill am i safe from pregnancy and actually my period started on saturday night and ended on Tuesday so on Friday we had sex and after one hour I took I pill am i safe from pregnancy
Female | 28
Sometimes, someone may get pregnant despite having sex two days after their period ends because sperm can populate the woman's body for up to 5 days. That was an ideal way of decreasing the risk of pregnancy to take an emergency contraceptive pill, however, they are not fully efficient in the prevention of pregnancy. It is important to remember that emergency contraceptive pills are not a replacement for your regular contraceptive method. If you are concerned about pregnancy, then a gynecologist can provide you with general information and check if you need a more suited contraceptive means.

If you have been treated for syphilis but are still testing positive and experience certain symptoms, follow up with your gynecologist. Climbing steps frequently will it cause miscarriage in early pregnancy? I am 40 days pregnant. My age is 31. I am working in a school, I need to climb up the third floor 4 to 5 times a day. Is it safe or creates any issues?
Female | 31
Climbing stairs during the early stages of your pregnancy is usually safe. No one has shown scientific proof that using stairs can be the cause of miscarriage. At your stage of pregnancy, it is still ok for you to climb stairs as you usually do. Take things easy and pay attention to your body. If you notice any symptoms like bleeding or sharp pain then visit your gynecologist as soon as possible.

Hi, nice to meet you, my period is 8 days late, I'm 17, I'm not sexually active, my first period was over three years ago. I read on the internet that I shouldn't worry, since a delay of up to 45 days is considered "normal", should I go to the doctor, or is it not so urgent and I can wait a little longer?Lately it had been regular, with a difference of one or two days when my period arrived.I look forward to your reply, thank you very much in advance.
Female | 17
Sometimes, period blood may be heavier than expected and might even appear green for a short time, especially in newly menstruating teenagers. Stress, weight changes, diet, or exercise can affect your menstrual cycle. If there are no sexual activities or other concerning symptoms, it might be okay to delay medical consultation. However, if you notice sickness or other significant changes, it's important to consult a gynecologist.

I have a 12 week pregnancy and my baby head size is 2 cm showing on tha scan is it normal
Female | 20
At 12 weeks, the 2 cm head size of the baby displayed in the scans is normal. This is nothing but a predictable growth pattern. The baby's brain will continue to grow to the same body proportions during the pregnancy. An infant's cranial size at this stage is crucial in the development of the brain, thus this is an important parameter to control.

Female | 34
Symptoms like changes in vaginal discharge color, itching, burning, and odors can indicate an infection. After childbirth, hormonal changes can make women more prone to infections. It's important to get a proper diagnosis and treatment, as some infections may need specific medications or lifestyle changes. There's no need to worry, as this is a common condition that can be treated with the right therapy. Visit a gynecologist for proper care.

I had protected intercourse on August 10, 2024, and took an emergency contraceptive within 4 hours. My period/withdrawal bleeding occurred on August 19. On September 8, I noticed a small, watery, slightly cloudy nipple discharge (only when pressed), which has continued for weeks but without pain. I got my period this month with cramps, and a pregnancy test showed a single control line (negative). The discharge is still present but minimal (like a dot).is it normal or I should be concerned??
Female | 21
Hello there! It's fantastic that you used emergency contraception after having protected sex. The watery discharge from your nipple could be the result of various reasons like hormonal changes, medication, or even stress. Since you had a negative pregnancy test and minimal discharge, it could be normal. Keep an eye on it, and if it continues or worsens, it's a good idea to chat with a gynecologist.

Yesterday my condom burst during intercourse and I would like to know whether the morningafter pill helps her even though she takes the normal pill. Since we are not in Germany at the moment, we urgently need a message. It's the 6th day she's been taking the pill after her bleeding
Female | 18
Emergency contraception should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. While the morning-after pill can remain useful, even when you are taking normal birth control pills regularly. Gynecologists should always be consulted for personalized and punctual advice.

If your month's period is skipped, several things could cause this. Stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances may all impact the menstrual cycle. Are you feeling more stressed out than usual recently? Or maybe have you gained or lost a lot of weight quickly? It is important to note however, that missing one period isn’t usually anything to worry about but if this becomes a common occurrence then speaking with a gynecologist.

is it okay to take a headache medicine while having a period?
Female | 16
Menstrual migraines can be caused by changes in hormones and dehydration. Over-the-counter painkillers are generally safe to take for a headache but make sure it is suitable for use during your period before taking anything new. Always follow the directions on over-the-counter medication or ask a pharmacist which ones won’t interfere with menstruation.
