Answered on 11th Sept '24
A sore throat, stuffy ears, cough, and frequent nose blowing suggest you have a common cold or viral infection. These result from your body battling the virus. To improve, rest well, stay hydrated, and use over-the-counter meds for relief. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, visit an ENT specialist.

Long-lasting colds and coughs may point to sinus troubles. For relief, a sinus CT scan is wise. This deeper look inside his sinuses explains the issue. Then a treatment matching his case can start. The skilled ENT will guide the next steps based on scans.

throat pain bumps in throat synus
Male | 38
Your throat seems to have a viral germ infection. It makes your throat hurt, get bumpy, and feel stuffy. The illness spreads when people cough or sneeze germs. To feel okay, rest up, drink warm drinks, and use a humidifier. You can buy medicine for pain too. But if it doesn't get better soon, see an ENT specialist.

These signs could point towards a sinus infection, which causes pain and pressure in these areas. Treatment usually involves drugs that relieve symptoms as well as address the infection itself so it is important for you to get checked by an ENT specialist.

My ear has had weird pressure changes over the last year and has random drainage. When I clean it out, it’s always dark brown/goopy and smells really bad. Today I just pulled out a big glob of something blueish/gray and thought it was a bug. What should I do?
Male | 26
You might have an infection in your ear, which is causing the weird variations in pressure, dark brown/goopy drainage, bad smell, and the blueish/grey glob you found. It's called otitis externa. It's important to see an Ent specialist doctor on time to get the right medications. Refrain from inserting anything inside your ear or getting it wet.

I am a 26 year old female who has been dealing with ear pain and jaw pain for how 5+ days and right now as I’m typing this, my right ear is getting worse. It’s keeps throbbing, vibrating, etc. this is all while trying to get rid of a cough I have as well as a runny nose and headache. What should I do?
Female | 26
It looks like otitis media is the most likely reason, which is an infection in the middle ear. This condition can cause ear pain, jaw pain, and a feeling of throbbing or vibrating in your ear. The cough, runny nose, and headache could be related or separate issues. You must visit an ENT specialist to obtain the right medication. During the waiting time, you may use a warm compress on your ear to relieve the pain.

I cant hear properly for last 7 days (left ear) I think, its because of heavy ear wax. I once had this problem. So i guessed it. Now what should i do?
Female | 23
Ear wax buildup blocks sound. That could explain hearing trouble. You hear worse in one ear. Also, ear fullness, and discomfort too. Try ear drops first, and soften the wax. If that doesn't work, see an ENT specialist. They can remove the wax safely.

Tinnitus and continue headache
Male | 37
Tinnitus makes you hear noises when there isn't one nearby. A constant headache combined with buzzing sounds could signal stress or loud noise exposure. High blood pressure could also cause it. Relax, avoid loud noises, get plenty of rest. If it persists, see an ENT specialist to identify any other reasons.

I have ear infection too much pain face swelling
Male | 25
You may be suffering from an ear infection. The infection itself is responsible for the pain and swelling in your face. Ear infections develop as a result of the bacteria or virus that infects your ear. On one hand, they may disappear on their own without treatment; on the other hand, if the problem is serious, you should take medicine prescribed by an ENT specialist. Applying a warm cloth to your ear is a good way to soothe the pain for now.

Female | 15
If you have yellow mucus for more than 7 days and it doesn't get better with medication, it's likely a sinus infection. You might feel lousy, with headaches or facial pressure too. To help clear it up, try using a humidifier, drink plenty of water, and use a saline nasal spray. But if it persists or worsens, see an ENT specialist.

My right ear is getting clogged from past 2 days how to get rid of it
Female | 19
You might have a hearing problem. Among the usual suspects are a hair wax overload, a blade of fluid, or, on a possible ear infection note. This blockage can manifest as symptoms such as loss of hearing, fullness, or dizziness. To assist in clearing your ear, try tilting your head to the side and gently pulling on your earlobe. Alternatively, you can look for over-the-counter ear drops that help soften the earwax with antibiotics. If the blockage persists to is accompanied by pain or fever, it is important to visit an ENT specialist.

Hi, recently I was diagnosed with Sinuses. Doctor suggests surgery because nose bone is deformed. Is surgery necessary or it will be treated by medicine.
Female | 40
Are headaches, stuffy nose, or breathing problems telling you that something may be wrong with your nose bone? If so, you could be suffering from a deviated septum that requires surgery to fix it. Sometimes fixing the bone can relieve symptoms. When none of these treatments help, doctors will recommend an operation on what is blocking your airway.
