Birth control pills prevent pregnancy. There exist different types. Having a doctor help you choose is smart. Take one pill daily for twenty-one days. Next, take a break for seven days. Following instructions carefully is crucial for effectiveness. Ask a gynecologist if you have queries or worries.

It's understandable to feel anxious after experiencing irregularities in your menstrual cycle, especially following unprotected intercourse. Your negative tests are reassuring, but stress can also impact your periods. Hormonal fluctuations or anxiety may be delaying your cycle. I recommend monitoring your feelings and considering lifestyle factors that could affect your health. If your periods don’t regularize or if you continue to have concerns, please consult a gynecologist for personalized advice and support.

I am 23 years old I was suppose to see my menstruation flow this week but it came the first day with a very light Flow and actually stopped few hours later when it's stopped it didn't flow again but instead brown watering discharge that has odor keeps coming out I actually did a pregnancy test which came out negative So what could be the problem
Female | 23
It looks like you could have abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). This can be caused by many things such as hormone imbalances, stress, or certain drugs. The light flow followed by brown discharge might mean old blood is coming out. I’m glad that you took a pregnancy test which came back negative ruling in pregnancy. My advice would be to keep track of your symptoms and talk to a gynecologist about them for further evaluation and guidance.

Skipping periods for two months raises concerns. Stress, weight changes, hormones, or health conditions cause this. Other signs like acne, excess hair, and headaches may occur. Consulting a gynecologist is advisable for an examination and treatment options.

Is blood HCG test 16 days after intercourse consider to be reliably accurate to conclude the results if it took levenogestrel after the sex?
Female | 25
A blood HCG test performed 16 days after intercourse can provide reliable results, particularly when assessing for pregnancy. However, taking levonorgestrel, often used as emergency contraception, can affect hormonal levels and potentially delay ovulation. Symptoms such as missed periods or breast tenderness are common indicators of pregnancy, but they can also result from hormonal changes. If you're uncertain about your test results, I recommend consulting a gynecologist for an accurate evaluation and support.

I used ocp pill 7 days after intercourse after 7(14) days I had light bleeding and brown bleeding b. Is this a sign of pregnancy?
Female | 18
The light and brown bleeding you had after swallowing an OCP pill a week later following intercourse is not indicative of pregnancy. It is one of the common side effects related to your body due to hormonal changes which you experience when utilizing pills. However, one is advised to seek advice from their gynecologist in case they have any doubt or fear.

My friend missed her period some days ago and she had sex 1 month ago so she is worried that she's pregnant but she's 15 years old now what should she do to bring her period?
Female | 15
It can be quite scary when you miss your period at 15. It's important to recognize that a missed period can be due to other causes like pregnancy. Stress, weight fluctuations, and maybe even a new fitness program can disturb the menstrual cycle of a woman. So she will get her period, motivate your friend to keep relaxed, choose the diet, and not stress. If her period keeps on late, then it is recommended for her to find help from a gynecologist. Your period might be irregular if you are young, so don't worry.

I’m haven’t got my period My last period was on the 10th November and last to last was 14th November
Female | 18
The changes in your period can be due to different reasons such as stress, hormonal imbalances, weight fluctuations, or changes in routine. The symptoms could be bloating, mood changes, or mild cramping. It is very important to keep a record of your cycle and to think about the impacts of your lifestyle. In case your period doesn't appear back soon or you get some new symptoms apart from this, I would urge you to seek advice from a gynecologist.

Hello, I am a 25-year-old girl who is sexually active. I've experienced discomfort in my pubic bone since March and no other symptoms. The pain was intermittent. Now, pain is uncommon, but I have strange sensations within my vagina and discomfort when sitting. I had a urine culture, which was sterile, as well as a vdrl and an HIV test, both of which were normal. Is it a sign of another sti, and what test or issue would you suggest? There is also no itchiness or burning. (This does happen on occasion, although it is very unusual)

I Am smruti . My age 19 I'm worrying about my pregnancy because on pregnancy kit c line dark nd t line is not dark
Female | 19
Sometimes the lines on the kit may not look as dark as you expect, but that doesn't always mean there's a problem. The reason could be due to testing very early or following the instructions. If you're uncertain, wait a few days and retest. Remember, it's always best to confirm any concerns with a gynecologist.

Have heavy discharg after periods every month for continuous days Colour - whitish yellow Heavy sticky and sometimes liquid like watery Strong odour fishy smell and itching Many times that private portion swelling during discharge I fell
Female | 22
You might have a problem with BV. In this case, when there is a loss of balance between positive and negative bacteria in your vagina, it causes the said symptoms. To help, instead of using chemically scented soap in the infected area, you can use mild soap, wear loose cotton underwear, and avoid douching. If the symptoms worsen, seeking a gynecologist for additional advice is highly recommended to ensure you get the right care.

according to my period tracker , period ended on 27th february . previous month it ended on 3rd january. my period usually is 4 days. 4th day bleeding is almost not there. i had sexual activity (not penetrative sex) on 3rd march and sex with condom on 4th march but he came inside the condom while having sex. according to my app, on 4rd march it was ovulation in 3 days. then i had sex on 8th march and according to app day of ovulation was 7th march. during sex on 8th march there was light pink bleeding all over the bedsheet. i took an I-pill the same day after 2 hours of sex. I am now seeing whitish discharge from vagina sometimes. i have checked position of cervix, it is low and kind of hard and kind of open. what has happened?
Female | 26
There are normal bodily changes that happen monthly. You likely had light pink bleeding on March 8th from ovulation. Also, your whitish discharge is regular vaginal fluid. The I-pill is a backup birth control taken after unprotected sex. Even your cervical changes align with your cycle. However, if anything seems off or concerning, it's wise to talk to a gynecologist for advice.

My hands were covered in sperm, then I cleaned my hands only with water 3 times. After that, I cleaned my vagina with still wet hands and water. will it cause pregnancy?
Female | 21
Pregnancy is only possible if sperm enters the vagina through intercourse. The fact that you only used water to clean your hands makes it very unlikely that sperm would transfer to your vagina. But to be on the safe side, you should start using soap for effective handwashing in the future. Besides, if you notice any unusual symptoms like missed periods or unusual discharge, it is always better to speak with a gynecologist.

how early can pregnancy be detected?
Female | 19
Pregnancy may be detected in the first two weeks after conception. Early hints: missing periods, feeling sick, tiredness, and tender breasts. A home pregnancy test can find the hCG hormone in urine to confirm. Carefully follow test directions. Importantly, begin prenatal care quickly.

Female | 23
The pain and bleeding you had can be caused by a lot of things such as hormonal changes or irregular periods. It's good to track your menstrual cycle and ovulation to increase the chances of getting pregnant. A healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, is a must for you. If the bleeding continues or if you have concerns, it's best to visit a gynecologist.

I haven't see my period this month and I am really bothered According to Flo my period tracker I didn't ovulate this month and its cycle day 43 already
Male | 20
Disturbances are due to many factors such as stress, changes in weight, hormonal imbalances, or lifestyle changes. In case of lack of ovulation, this may also be the reason why your period is missing. On the other hand, a person may sometimes face a delay but constant disorders require more detailed explanations. You might want to think about including items like monitoring your stress and making healthy meals in your daily life to relax. It is also recommended that you get in touch with your gynecologist if do not menstruate or have other related issues.
