Answered on 16th Nov '24
Damage reaches the brain due to being hit in the head, suffering a stroke, or infections inside the skull. Patients' problems can be related to memory loss, speech problems, and muscle issues. It's essential to seek immediate medical attention from a neurologist, especially if this is the third occurrence of brain damage.

I am 17 year old female,I am having this constant achey pain on the side of the temple and the left side of my middle of the head. These pains are not felt by me unless I press on them . I also have a neck pain, shoulder pain and back pain, with dizziness and fatigue.
Female | 17
If you wake up in the morning with a dull ache running from your temples and shoulders down to your back, accompanied by dizziness and tiredness, you might have tension headaches. These headaches are often caused by stress, poor posture, and eye strain. Meditation and yoga can help, along with checking your posture, taking short breaks from screen time, and getting enough sleep at night. If the symptoms persist, make an appointment to discuss your condition with a neurologist.

My mother is having pain in backside bone and whenever she move her head she feels like she will get faint and whole house in rotating while sleeping,
Female | 38
The pain in the backside bone and the sensation of dizziness or vertigo when moving her head could be due to musculoskeletal issues, inner ear problems, or neurological conditions. Consult a primary care physician or a neurologist, who can assess her symptoms, perform a thorough examination, and recommend appropriate tests for further evaluation.

Sir I have had two foot foot drop for the last few years, let me know the solution
Male | 42
The best solution for foot drop is usually an AFO (ankle-foot orthosis) brace. This brace helps to keep the ankle in the correct position and supports the foot, allowing you to lift it more easily. Your doctor may also recommend physical therapy or other treatments, such as electrical stimulation or surgery, to help strengthen and improve the function of the muscles in your foot and ankle.

Tingling numb dizzy in my head, for a month
Male | 49
Experiencing tingling, numbness, and dizziness continuously for one month is certainly worrying. These sensations could signify issues like reduced blood supply or nerve complications. It's very important to have this evaluated by a neurologist to find out the exact reason behind these symptoms and treat them accordingly.

sir I feel burning pain tingling and electric sensation in feet and right hand. I got my NCS and EMG tests but they were normal last month my HBA1C was 5.66 normal bul my my fasting glocose level was 145 I have used pregablin . gabapaitin dulaxtin venlafixn but for the time being I am ok but after some the setuation is same painful. I have used lacosamid too. but no diffrence sir what would you advise.
Male | 50
It sounds like you're experiencing discomfort with burning, tingling, and electric sensations in your extremities. Despite normal nerve conduction studies and EMG tests, these symptoms can arise from various causes, including nerve irritation or metabolic factors like elevated blood sugar levels. I recommend continuing to monitor your glucose levels closely. Since medications haven't fully alleviated your pain, consulting a neurologist for further evaluation could be beneficial. They might consider other treatment options or therapies tailored to your needs.

Doctor I am a male of 45 year from Africa i feel this heaviness (dizziness) in the head and fatigue whenever i walk a little distance or engage in strenous work. I did ECG and ECHO2D tests. The doctor said nothing was wrong with my heart . I check my BP regularly. I am not hypertensive. I engage in regular fitness exercise . Yet this heaviness in the head and tiredness doesn't want to stop. I need your urgent reply. Pat.
Male | 45
It’s good that you’ve ruled out heart issues and hypertension. However, the persistent heaviness in the head and fatigue could be related to other causes such as anemia, thyroid issues, or even stress and anxiety. I would recommend visiting an internal medicine specialist or a neurologist for a thorough evaluation to pinpoint the cause and get appropriate treatment.

Male | 32
You may be experiencing symptoms that could relate to anxiety, stress, or a heart or respiratory issue. Chest tightness, dizziness, and fear can be concerning, so it’s best to consult a cardiologist or a psychiatrist. They can help find the root cause and guide you with proper treatment.

I have Dystonia in my left Foot and Hand and so much pain. I can barely walk and this over 1 year. We tried things like Botox Injection and a lot of therapy but nothing helped. Is there any possibility for Deep Brain Stumulation?
Female | 18
I would suggest approaching to neurologist who specializes in movement disorders. DBS is one of the potential treatment options for dystonia and can be used based on a thorough evaluation by a specialist.

Hello Doctor, My name is Ayman. On December 25th, 2023, I suddenly experienced severe, unexplained pain in my neck. The pain quickly spread down my spinal cord, and I lost strength in my hands, making it impossible to move them. I began sweating profusely. Despite being weak, I managed to walk to the car, but my condition worsened on the way. I struggled to breathe, fainted, lost control of my legs, and my lips turned blue before arriving at the hospital. Once at the hospital, I was admitted to the RCU (Respiratory Care Unit) and intubated. Two weeks later, a tracheostomy was performed. During my 75 days in the RCU, I received the following treatments: 1. Plasmapheresis with 50 bottles of Albumin. 2. IVIG therapy (68 bottles). After 75 days, I graduated from the RCU. My recovery began slowly: • My hands started moving again, though they remained numb. • My legs also started moving, but they were extremely numb. I was prescribed Pregabalin 75 mg to help with the numbness in my legs. However, after taking the medication, my legs stopped working again. I was readmitted to the RCU for 3 days and remained under observation in the hospital for a total of 6 months. Eventually, my breathing improved, and I was discharged. I have been home for the past 6 months I can't stop and go This is my current health status. Thank you.
Male | 15
Symptoms such as extremely painful neck, myasthenia, and breathing difficulty could mean a problem with the neurologic or musculoskeletal system. Sometimes it takes a long time for a person to recover slowly in the post-period of invasive treatments like plasmapheresis and IVIG therapy. Make sure to keep following up with your neurologist for a check-up, especially for your adjustment of medication if necessary. They will be the ones to evaluate the decreased sensitivity and mobility in your bodily functions to get the right assistance.

Hellp! I am someone with MS. I have very low vitamin D levels and have had that flr a while. I an currently experiencing pain in my left leg. In both knee and thigh. I have pain and can not stand on it as usual. It is the second time in less than 2 weeks (my knee, first time)
Female | 25
Lack of vitamin D levels in the case of multiple sclerosis patients may be responsible for muscle pain on some occasions. You should be getting enough vitamin D from sunlight or a supplement of vitamin D. Besides that, you can try to make the tension loosen or apply a warm compress to stop the pain. If the pain continues, go to a doctor to get professional advice.

I can feel air moving thru the top of my head when I breath. Is that bad / dangerous?
Female | 25
Air can sometimes pass through the top of your head when you breathe. It may be due to a tiny hole in your skull or close to your sinuses. Or, you may have a blocked nose passage. See a doctor to know for sure. They can tell you the right reason and give treatment if needed.

You are suffering from a tension headache. A typical characteristic of this problem is that you constantly feel like a tight band is wrapping around the head. A person may get this headache due to the brain's reaction to a stressful, tense environment, constant poor body mechanics, or eyestrain. One way to alleviate it is to relax, maintain good posture, and have screen breaks. Easy and gentle exercises for the neck can also be quite helpful. In addition to keeping your body hydrated and well-rested, you can treat yourself to a regular massage.

I have epilepsy from 10 years
Male | 23
Long-time living with epilepsy can be extremely complicated, but let's together solve this problem. Epilepsy is an explosion of electrical signals in the brain that results in seizures. These seizures can have different consequences, for example, you can be shaking or losing control of your body. Medicines are mainly used to manage epilepsy, and it is important to take these medicines the way your neurologist tells you to. Moreover, living a balanced healthy life can also be supportive in the treatment of epilepsy.

You seem down about not smelling or tasting. Plus, that headache is tough. A cold or sinus issue might cause this. Stay hydrated. Rest up. Try decongestants and antihistamines if needed. But if it worsens or lingers, see a doctor.

I have a daughter whose development has been a bit late since she was little. She could only lie face down after she was 1 year old and then she could walk around 3 or 4 years old. Her development is slow but she is currently in grade 11 at school, but her mental ability is very weak. Her IQ is below 100. Her right hand, right leg and arm are stiff. The sole of the right foot tilts inward so it is difficult to walk or not like a normal person. What I hope from this treatment is that she right side can function normally. Because now you need help to clean after menstruation or after defecating, considering that the only thing that can be used normally is only the left hand, and even then it is not very active.
Female | 18
Your daughter's symptoms are typical of cerebral palsy which causes a lack of muscle coordination and also results in mobility problems. Those symptoms you named are the cause of an extra motor diagnostic test to be done, like hip reflexes to be tested, and a tossed foot drop. The most optimal way is physiotherapy to do work on muscle tone or strength and loosen tightness, to let your child move properly. In the case of consistent therapy, she will grow more independent and be able to use her muscles more easily so she can join you in activities.

Your phenotypes of headaches, gum pain, fear of death, panic attacks, stomach problems, and headaches after eating could be connected. You could have a condition like migraines, anxiety, or a digestive issue. Get a doctor's opinion for the right diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime, try to eat regular meals, manage stress, and get plenty of rest.

If a 7 year old kid has a head injury what tests are done to diagnose his injury?
Female | 65
When a 7 year old experiences a head injury, several tests may be conducted to diagnose the injury..but again it depends on how severe the injury is. Physical examination may be adviced to assess symptoms and neurological function, imaging tests like CT scans or MRIs to identify bleeding or abnormalities in the brain, X-rays to check for skull fractures, and blood tests to evaluate various factors
