Nerves make our muscles move. If a nerve is hurt, the muscle it goes to won't work. The best thing for her thumb is to do exercises that might wake up the muscles and see a person who treats her hands. If someone is hurt it is important to get help fast so they can get better. Visit an orthopedist for further consultation.

growth plates checking by x ray
Male | 19
Growth plates are special areas in children's bones. They allow the bones to grow longer. An X-ray can show if a child's growth plates are still open. This means the child is still growing taller. Some signs of problems with growth plates are pain, swelling, or one limb being longer than the other. Growth plate issues can happen after injuries. They can also be caused by certain medical conditions. Treatment depends on what is wrong. It may involve resting the area, doing physical therapy exercises, or sometimes surgery.

I am 25 years old and from few days I am feeling like my hand is getting swollen when I wash utensils and it gets numb and feels like my hand is soaking water
Female | 25
It seems you may have the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. This occurs when a nerve in your wrist gets squeezed, making your hand swell and become numb. Washing up may be aggravating it. When you feel like this, you should try to take regular breaks while doing tasks. You could also use a wrist splint to help keep your hand in a better position. If these steps don’t relieve the problem, then it would be a good idea to talk to a orthopedist for more advice.

Im Punya, gender female, age 18, i was in neet longterm for an year, in these period my ankles started swelling it is there now also with pain. I consulted ayurvedic doctor i didnt get any solution
Female | 18
These symptoms can happen if a person sits too long without moving around enough or they have some medical problem. You should see an orthopedist about your ankles so we know what’s going on with them. In the meantime try raising your legs up high when you can–this will help bring more blood flow down into your feet. Also, put cold packs on them to ease any swelling and hurt.

You may be having a health problem called arthritis in your leg. Arthritis attacks the joints and causes pain, swelling, and stiffness. It is when the cartilage, which protects the ends of your bones, wears out over time. To relieve the pain, you can learn some gentle movements, use hot and cold therapy, and take over-the-counter painkillers.

Why do I have a bony lump on top of my left shoulder?
Female | 30
That bony lump is likely an "acromial spur." It happens from wear and tear on your shoulder joint. You might feel pain when moving your arm or raising it up high. To help with discomfort, try gentle shoulder exercises. Also, apply ice to reduce swelling. If the pain continues, see a physiotherapist for guidance. They can advise on ways to manage the condition.

The causes might include poor posture, stress, or even slowing down physically. In some cases, it could result from an injury. To help relieve the pain, try light neck exercises, use a supportive pillow, and take regular breaks when using devices. Managing stress with relaxation techniques can also be helpful. I am having a serious problem on my knee and day by day I am losing control of my leg. And now barely I can even walk, please tell me what should i do to get help from your knee specialist??
As per my understanding, you are experiencing discomfort in your waist & knee and gradual decreased sensation in your lower limbs, along with difficulty in walking as well. There are several causes which can lead to this kind of presentation. Causes generally are classified into spinal causes, traumatic causes or neuromuscular causes etc. Eg: slip disc, multiple sclerosis pinched nerve syndrome, peripheral neuropathy and many more. Treatment generally will be physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medication if required surgery but if there is weakness, difficulty in walking, or numbness, then it's a medical emergency. So kindly consult an orthopedic and a neurologist to rule out what exactly is the pathology behind your symptoms and get treated accordingly. Public ramus bone fracture healing after 50 days attached bone again broke
Male | 25
No. The public ceil bone in your body is not healing as it should be. It was the second damage to the bone that occurred on the 50th day, and it may be because not healing was given a chance or overloading has been the case. You could experience pain, swelling, or difficulty in moving. Besides, it's necessary to visit an orthopedic surgeon since they will also propose other treatment options, such as a brace or possibly surgery to help the bone heal correctly.

Male | 18
When you have trigger finger, a tendon in your finger becomes inflamed, making it difficult to move your finger smoothly. Symptoms include finger stiffness, clicking, or locking in place. This condition can result from repetitive gripping motions or other medical conditions.
To help alleviate symptoms:
- Relax your finger.
- Perform gentle exercises.
- Apply warm compresses.
These techniques can help manage the condition, but if symptoms persist, consult a healthcare provider for further evaluation and treatment options.

I have mild scoliosis is it treatable Is exercise is a good treatment for mild scoliosis
Male | 18
Mild scoliosis is when your spine curves sideways. This twisting condition can cause back discomfort, make one shoulder or hip higher than the other, and make you get tired faster. Exercising helps strengthen spine muscles, improving posture. So focus on stretches and strengthening moves for that curved spine. But remember, regular orthopedist checkups monitor scoliosis progress. They ensure the right steps are taken for your specific curve's treatment.

Little toe pain for 4 months
Female | 18
Little toe pain for 4 months is quite a long time. Shoes that do not fit well or a small injury may be the cause. At times, however, some diseases such as arthritis may be responsible for the long-lasting pain as well. To relieve swelling and discomfort, ice the area, rest your foot, and wear comfortable shoes. If the pain persists, it's advisable to see an orthopedist.

I feel pain chest pain while breathing out when move head downward
Male | 21
When breathing out or moving your head down, you experience chest discomfort. This issue stems from muscle strain between ribs or in the chest wall area. Occasionally, rib joint inflammation can cause this sensation. To alleviate symptoms, rest is recommended, along with warm compresses on the affected area and over-the-counter pain relievers. However, if the condition persists, consulting an orthopedist may be advisable.

I am having tailbone pain for almost 3 weeks. The pain is sometimes sharp sometimes it goes away, I am quite tensed about it as tailbone pain relates to some serious diseases. I have consulted my family doctor, he said it's nothing serious. But the pain comes and sometimes it is very sharp, it is hampering my daily routine and work.
Male | 31
Most cases of tailbone pain are not serious but if the pain is severe and affecting your routine then you can always seek a second opinion from a specialist.. such as an orthopedic doctor or pain management specialist.

I'm a 37 year old male suffering with post-axial polydactyly. My last two bones on my right hand are fused and my muscles are thin. And I have is medicaid. So what can I do to treat it affordably?
Male | 37
I would advise consulting with an orthopedic surgeon focusing on hand surgery. Delaying the care seeking should be avoided and even more so when Medicaid can reimburse treatment costs.
