Can I Take Home Pregnancy Test for Delayed Periods?
My partner expected periods is jan22 till now for her came can we take the pregancy test at home
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 26th Sept '24
A missed period can indicate pregnancy. If your partner expected her period on January 22 yet it did not arrive, take a home pregnancy test. Signs of pregnancy include irregular periods, feeling queasy, exhaustion, and sensitive breasts. Should the test be positive, consult a gynecologist. They will verify the results and advise on further action.

Hi doctors i m 7 weeks pregnant and i wanted to abort this pregnancy.i decided to abort it on 7 of May so should i start taking mifepristone from now on or should i take it on 7 itself and what will be doses of mifepristone and misopristone?
Female | 25
If you want to end a pregnancy at seven weeks, you should start the process on May 7th. First, you will take a pill called mifepristone. This is usually one dose. Next, you will take another pill called misoprostol to finish the procedure. Your gynecologist will tell you how much of each pill to take. You may have cramps and bleeding, which is normal.

Two days after periods, sperm dripped on the vagina. No penatration happened. Is there possibility for pregnancy?
Female | 25
No penetration equals a low chance of pregnancy. Early symptoms of pregnancy are missed periods and morning sickness. If you spot such signs, think about getting a pregnancy test. To prevent pregnancy, next time you should think about using protection.

Female | 26
It's unlikely that symptoms like headache and vomiting are related to pregnancy immediately after sex on June 1st. These symptoms can have various causes, such as stress or a viral infection. If there are concerns about pregnancy, it's best to consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation and advice.

These symptoms may potentially signify other underlying conditions, such as pregnancy or bleeding, but none of the tests showed a positive pregnancy. Mastrubate on uppeelips of vagina not in vagina Can this cause any nerve damage? And can the hymen be broken only by masturbating on the upper lips? Only use finger.leaving me masturbating It's been almost 2 years .so now i'm married So, will masturbation have any effect on my married life??Will my body be repaired in 2 years? And masturbation does not cause infertility issues. ???
Female | 22
Masturbating on the outer part of the vagina, the upper lips do not cause nerve damage or break the hymen. Masturbation is a normal and safe activity that does not interfere with your marriage or fertility. The body naturally heals itself, so any leftovers from old habits should not be a concern for you now.

I am 23 years old... mother of one.... I keep having backache.... and last month period colour was almost purple in colour ... and this month right after my period ended I'm having spotting again.... also I have lower abdominal pain.... I get dizzy sometimes after meal ..... my vagina feel like it's tearing ever since childbirth what shall I do.....
Female | 23
These might be symptoms of different problems. Hormonal imbalance and infection could be suggested by purple periods and spots. Lower stomach pain can be caused by various things such as infection or endometriosis. If you feel dizzy after eating any food, it may mean that your blood sugar is low. Any tearing sensation in the vagina might have been caused by the impact of childbirth on your muscles. Make sure to see a doctor who will examine them internally and treat them accordingly.

Period symptoms don’t usually include stomach aches, but it seems that’s what you’re going through. Weakness, dizziness, and fatigue may be low iron in the blood or hormonal changes. Ensure you take a healthy diet consisting of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Apart from that, drink enough water and have a good sleep. Should these symptoms persist, seeking medical attention for further investigation is vital.

Female | 33
Yes, a progesterone blood test on Day 22 would also be useful but the exact amount of hormone will be lower than the optimal one. It is crucial to visit a gynecologist or an endocrinologist in case you have problems with your menstrual calendar or future chances of getting pregnant.

The situation is that the patient came to the doctor to change the Mirena spiral. The IUD Mirena was recommended by the attending gynecologist after surgery to remove an ovarian cyst and polyp. Diagnosis: adenomyosis (before surgery, the patient complained of heavy, non-painful menstrual bleeding). The first spiral lasted 5 years without problems. The gynecologist introduced a new IUD without first removing the old one. In connection with this situation, I have some questions. I would be grateful for your professional opinion. 1. Is it possible to correctly install the Mirena coil into the uterine cavity if the previous coil was not removed? 2. What side effects can be caused by the simultaneous presence of hormonal IUDs (two sterile foreign bodies) in the uterus. Could this cause health problems and harm to the patient? 3. How can one explain the symptoms that arose after the installation of the second Mirena, such as pain in the lower abdomen, lower back and excessive menstrual bleeding?
Female | 40
I would recommend that the new coil should not be inserted until the old one removed. This can result in problems such as perforation or infection. The presence of two hormonal IUDs in the uterus may cause hormonal imbalance and the risks of side effects. To treat the symptoms of lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, and heavy menstrual bleeding, consultation with a gynecologist who is an adenomyosis specialist is recommended.
