I am 30 year's old male and have back pain for last 1 month i already used pain relief medicine and other orthopedic medicine ointment cream couple of weeks but haven't got any relief what should i do
Male | 30
It appears that you have been having long-term discomfort, which may come from the muscles being strained, bad posture, or in some cases unwelcome health issues. If non-prescription cures don't work, I advise participating in modified bounding and muscle exercises that aid in your back's recovery. Relaxing with the help of warm or cool packs has also proven to be an effective method of pain reduction. Nevertheless, it is essential to see an orthopedist for a thorough examination.

I am 15 years old and have had a knee injury for 11 months . It started out as a meniscus injury and that has gotten better. According to my most recent MRI, I have edema , synovitis, and slight injuries to my ligaments. It doesn’t sound severe, but I have difficulty walking normally, and it often cracks, which makes it deteriorate. Also, because of the long duration,my muscles have muscle atrophy. My question is: What do the cracks mean(are they fine or not), and what should I do to recover? Thanks.
Male | 15
Crackling from your knee is fostered by harsh surfaces or air bubbles. Although it’s perfectly normal at times, it could signify a problem if pain or swelling accompanies the snaps. For recovery, gentle exercises along with physical therapy will not only strengthen supporting muscles, leading to better knee stability. Be cautious while moving be sure to stay away from activities that may exacerbate this popping sound. You can also visit an orthopedist.

Head to shoulder nerves pain
Female | 38
Your head and shoulders seem to hurt. Muscle tension, bad posture, or stress can make this happen. It might also be nerve issues in that area. To ease the pain, try gentle neck stretches. Sit and stand up straight. Use a heating pad on the sore spot. But if it won't go away, see an orthopedist for help.

I have a scaphoid fracture,it's been 2months now and I have stiff wrist movement is not Swift while moving down it hurts what should I do
Male | 25
Your scaphoid bone has a break. Two months went by, and your wrist moved stiffly. This stiffness happens sometimes after a fracture as it heals. To help, do gentle exercises a physiotherapist suggests. But if the pain stays or gets worse, see an orthopedist to check what's going on.

My mother had an accident more than 10 years ago on her left thumb and without getting any proper treatment , her left thumb is not working voluntarily and its always folded. She can still feel pain but could not move her thumb. Is there any chance her thumb can work?
Female | 61
Nerves make our muscles move. If a nerve is hurt, the muscle it goes to won't work. The best thing for her thumb is to do exercises that might wake up the muscles and see a person who treats her hands. If someone is hurt it is important to get help fast so they can get better. Visit an orthopedist for further consultation.

growth plates checking by x ray
Male | 19
Growth plates are special areas in children's bones. They allow the bones to grow longer. An X-ray can show if a child's growth plates are still open. This means the child is still growing taller. Some signs of problems with growth plates are pain, swelling, or one limb being longer than the other. Growth plate issues can happen after injuries. They can also be caused by certain medical conditions. Treatment depends on what is wrong. It may involve resting the area, doing physical therapy exercises, or sometimes surgery.

Hi, my mother has Osteoarthritis and thus she suffers from chronic knee pain. Just wanted to know how effective stem cell therapy may be in her case. I also have a few doubts listed below: What are the benefits of stem cell therapy for osteoarthritis (if any)? What is the down-time after the procedure? My mother is a teacher and doesn't have the provision to take too many leaves. How much a procedure like this likely to cost?
As per my understanding you want to know stem cell treatment for knee osteoarthritis. Recently one of the companies has announced that it has received approval from FDA, for clinical trial, for use of stem cell therapy for knee osteoarthritis. So results of stem cell therapy for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis are still awaited. Consult an orthopedic, who on examining the patient will guide you with the best treatment available for the patient. Consult Orthopedic Physiotherapy doctors in Mumbai, or any other city which you feel will be better. Hope this has helped you.

I'm a 28 year old lady, mother of 1 for the past week I have been experiencing mild hip pain which would sometimes lead to leg pain. The problem is it's getting more severe to the extent that I'm having difficulties standing even for a short time
Female | 28
It is common to have discomfort with hips and leg pain for a person. Such kind of pain can come from different places like muscle tension, joints problem, and even posture. With the increase in pain, it could be a sign of an illness./As the discomfort intensifies, it may indicate an underlying condition that requires attention. I would suggest that you rest, do ice-water therapies in the affected area, and perform some gentle stretching as well. However, you must always consult an orthopedist, who will evaluate you and set a program for your specific medical issue issues effectively.

My son's hip bones are out of the sockets and he's only able to walk using crutches. Due to severe pain, he's posture has been affected and he bends forward. He has developed some deformity on his back due to the posture. What can we do?
Male | 12
The pelvic mismatch tends to bring other related problems and thus, it should be corrected. In my view, a visit to a competent orthopedic doctor is the first step here. They can determine the extent of the situation after a thorough examination is performed. This would include a review of his joints and might lead to a recommendation for a more therapeutic approach such as physical.

Female | 60
Probably the effects of osteoporosis are coming out in you. Weak and brittle bones are the reason why it is easier to faint and die. In addition, it can lead to unevolved discomfort in some parts of your body. One of the causes of osteoporosis is aging, not getting enough calcium and vitamin D, or taking some medications. The main components include the introduction of calcium and vitamin D supplements, bone-preserving medicine, and participation in regular activities aimed at enhancing the moisture content of bones.

I’m curious how much this usually cost, I have pre existing sprain or slight tears as well. That I’m sure this or stem cells else where could fix. I’m just looking for a ball park range since insurance won’t convert it
Male | 31
It is difficult to estimate the cost without knowing the severity of your injury and the treatment required. You can also visit hospitals that provide stem cell therapy and discuss your options with the specialists and getting a detailed cost breakdown, insurance coverage before proceeding with any treatment.

Injury on the leg caused by stepping on a nail
Male | 4
If you step on a nail, wash the spot with soap and water right away. This cleans the cut. Then put a new bandage on it. Check the cut every day. Look for signs of infection. That can mean redness, feeling hot, or pus coming out. If you see those things, go to the doctor fast. They can give you medicine to keep the infection from getting worse.

My friend Billie Jo gibbons she has trouble with her feet
Female | 25
Plantar fasciitis is one of the common conditions for this. It can cause pain at the bottom of the feet, particularly in the morning. It is a condition caused when tissue that connects the heel to the toes gets strained. Billie Jo should go for calf stretches and pick supportive shoes. Ice packs are also a good way to shrink the swelling.

I am 28 years old, my right heel and foot is very painful for more than one month, my doctor prescribed some medicines but the pain has not cured. Xray report are normal.
Male | 28
Plantar fasciitis, which is when the tissue that connects your heel bone to your toes becomes irritated, maybe the reason for this. Stretch gently your feet, wear the right kind of shoes, and apply ice over the painful area to ease the pain and inflammation. Besides, do not forget to rest your feet well. If the sore continues, it would be wise to see a physiotherapist who can help with certain exercises to strengthen the feet.

I am 34 years old, myself and my partner was kn a car crash last year march. We have physio (thunk it was 8 or 10 sessions) I had stiffness in my neck but after the physio it was fine. Last month my left arm from my shoulder to my elbow really hurts,I struggle to lift my left arm up and sometimes I have to use my right arm to move my left arm as its really painful.
Female | 34
You may have adhesive capsulitis, which is also referred to as a frozen shoulder. This usually occurs after an injury in the shoulder has taken place such as a car accident for example. Pain and stiffness are common symptoms of this condition thereby making it difficult for one to move the affected arm or arms. To alleviate these signs try gentle stretching exercises coupled with warm compresses applied to the painful area.
