Why Can't I Sleep for 2 Days Straight at 41?
I am a 41 year old female and I haven't slept in 2 days last night I couldn't sleep and tonight I can't sleep. I have had instances where I can't sleep throughout the night but I have never been unable to sleep at all. I'm very worried.

Several possible reasons exist, such as stress, anxiety, lifestyle changes, or medical conditions. To sleep better, try to make a soothing nighttime habit such as rigorous studies or gentle exercise. Cut down the amount of caffeine in your diet. If the situation continues for; even a few nights, then counseling with a health professional is highly recommended. They would help you recognize any background issues and suggest appropriate actions that will work best for you.

My friend suffering from following problem 1 if family member not talking politely or net & clean way then she crying too much 2. After that talking with herself ( I am positive, everyone talking with me polite, all is well, ok etc) 3.crying too much, closes her eye, sleeping on floor, pain in her left side chest, stomach sounding very fast like gad gad, plam light bluish
Female | 26
Your friend is having a hard time dealing with stress and experiencing emotional troubles, which in turn, are causing physical problems. She might be crying, talking to herself, and feeling a sharp pain in her chest, which is a clear indication of stress and anxiety. The noises in the stomach and blueish palms may be the first signs of a high pulse rate and lack of normal blood circulation. Advice her to speak to someone she trusts and make deep breathing a habit, and have her try relaxation techniques to minimize stress.

I have a history of anorexia, and just recently relapsed. I'm trying to return to normal eating, following the advice of medical professionals to avoid refeeding syndrome, but my father is insisting on feeding me dense foods right away to get me "back to normal" as soon as possible, ignoring my concerns in regards to the risk of potentially fatal complications. Is there a way to treat this at home safely, or a place to seek help outside of the emergency room?
Female | 24
However, reintroducing food should be done cautiously to prevent complications, such as refeeding syndrome, which can occur with rapid changes in diet. It's important to start with small, easily digestible meals, gradually increasing the amount and density over time. Engage with a nutritionist or therapist specializing in eating disorders for personalized guidance. Communication with your father about your needs is also key. If you feel overwhelmed, consider seeking support from outpatient programs or community resources equipped to help in a nurturing environment. Your well-being is paramount.

Listening to binaural beats and practicing meditation can have both beneficial and adverse effects on your mind and body. Positively, these activities may enhance concentration, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. However, excessive use might lead to overstimulation or difficulty concentrating. Symptoms could include restlessness or fatigue. To ensure a balanced approach, limit your sessions and take breaks when necessary. If you experience persistent discomfort or have questions about your practice, consulting a psychiatrist can provide personalized guidance.

I am 31 year old living alone abroad. I am working here and going through a phase of getting married. I have had previous short term relationships. My fiance is living in India and will be moving with me after marriage. The biggest struggle these days is getting flashbacks of the good days from previous relationships and not liking many things of my Fiance. Since the recent past, I'm having multiple panic attacks and want to cry (somehow not able to cry). Also, I am getting suicidal thoughts which was never the case before. Sometimes I also imagine completely disappearing and start a life somewhere with new Identity and losing all the contacts with family and friends.

I’m taking Effexor and am having troubles sexually and skip my doses 2-3 days in advance but have nausea, dizziness and diarrhea. Is there a way to combat that without changing meds or adding anything? Can I use anti diarrhea pills or something?
Male | 37
If Effexor is missed, some withdrawal symptoms can set in like nausea, dizziness, and diarrhea. To mitigate these issues, the drug should be taken consistently. Even though over-the-counter anti-diarrhea medication can provide short-term relief, the best way to deal with the problem is by adhering to the prescription. If you are still worried, it’s advisable to seek further advice from a psychiatrist.
