Experiencing discomfort near the navel accompanied by bloating can be indicative of various factors, such as indigestion, gas retention, or dietary sensitivities. Maintaining a diet low in gas-producing foods, staying hydrated, and engaging in light walks may help ease symptoms. Over-the-counter medications, like simethicone, can assist in relieving gas accumulation. However, if the pain persists, worsens, or is accompanied by other concerning symptoms, it is essential to consult a gastroenterologist for personalized assessment and guidance. Your well-being is important, and seeking professional advice can provide clarity and reassurance.

Male | 20
You seem to be having difficulties. Issues like acid reflux, gastritis, or ulcers occur. They make your stomach upset. Your back hurts too. You may feel sick or bloated. Breathing becomes harder. However, some tips help. Eat smaller portions. Avoid spicy and fatty choices. Stay upright after meals. Drink water frequently. Try antacids from stores. But if troubles continue, see a gastroenterologist.

I am 20 years old Whenever I defecate, I have a lot of pain in my anus and the pain lasts for 6-7 hours continuously. This has been happening to me for the last 1 month. I feel a wound inside the anus. Which cream should I apply to reduce the pain?
Male | 20
You may have a condition called an anal fissure. Anal fissures make small tears in the lining of the anus that can lead to pain and discomfort during bowel movements. For pain relief, you can use an OTC cream that has substances such as lidocaine or hydrocortisone over the area, and this will help to do it. Alongside using a medication, it is also important to make a couple of lifestyle changes such as the use of additional fiber in the diet and being hydrated which helps to ease stool and lessens straining during bowel movements. If the pain continues, see a gastroenterologist who will do a medical examination and prescribe the treatment.

Hey there I am 18 years and from past 1 week I have been getting blood vomit either in night or mrng as soon as I wake up but majorly in night . I met one of the doctor she told it's due to stress and anxiety.
Female | 18
Vomiting blood, especially at night or in the morning, can indicate various issues, including potential gastrointestinal problems. While stress and anxiety can contribute to nausea, it’s crucial to rule out more serious conditions. I recommend maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and finding effective ways to manage stress, such as mindfulness or relaxation techniques. However, please consult a gastroenterologist for a thorough examination and appropriate tests. They can provide accurate guidance based on your specific situation and ensure your well-being.

I also have had medicines i.e. Nexium and Lesuride but it only gives relief for some time and then same issue. Please suggest.
Female | 37
You may be experiencing symptoms related to acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). These conditions can cause discomfort like chest bloating, irritation in the chest area after eating, and difficulty lying down due to regurgitation of food. It's important to consult a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation and appropriate management. They can recommend lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and possibly other medications or treatments tailored to your specific condition. Regular follow-ups with your specialist will help in managing and improving your symptoms effectively.

Male | 24
These symptoms may be because of a urinary tract infection (UTI) or a problem in your digestive system. If these symptoms will be improved after the treatment given by the doctor, then it's probably an infection. Make sure that you drink a lot of water and sleep well and also note the other instructions of your doctor.

Hi I'm having constipation since yesterday evening today I had two dulcolax tablet little stool only passed I feel so uncomfortable right now can prescribe some medications for instant relief for my problem.
Male | Rohit raina
The discomfort from taking too many Dulcolax tablets can be distressing. Have you tried drinking additional water and consuming more fiber-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables? Also, mild exercise can assist in moving things around in your tummy. Your body needs to be given time to sort things out on its own. If the issue persists then it is advisable to visit a gastroenterologist.

38 year old male everytime I go #2 I bleed alot.
Male | 38
It's not normal if you bleed heavily during a bowel movement. Hemorrhoids, which are swollen blood vessels in the rectal area can be one reason for this. Another cause may be an anal fissure; a tear in the lining of your anus. These occur when people strain too hard while passing stool or if they are constipated. A good idea would be to alter what you eat so that it includes more fiber and drink lots of water before seeing a gastroenterologist about it because ignoring such matters could make them worse.

When saftypin stay my stomch since 2 years what happened
Male | 22
You have something in your stomach called a "safety pin stay," which isn't normal. This can cause pain, discomfort, or a strange feeling in your belly. You might have accidentally swallowed a safety pin or something similar. It's important to see a gastroenterologist, who will likely suggest an X-ray and possibly a procedure to safely remove the object, preventing any further issues.

I am 21 yrs male i have difficulty swallowing from about 2 months my food pipe just down the throat feels like chocked i also have difficulty taking burps Some times i also have chest pain and difficulty breathing. I also have consulted some doctors in ent department and medicine department. But, no results.
Male | 21
These might be the signs of esophageal constriction, a throat-narrowing disorder. This makes it difficult for the food to pass through the horizons of the food pipe. For this to be diagnosed and treated, you might need a thorough examination by a gastroenterologist who can carry out tests like endoscopy. Therapy may include the expansion of the affected area of the food pipe.

The last few months I noticed some blood when I pooped. For a while, every time I pooped there would be blood when I wiped and sometimes the bowel would have some blood in it also. Today, there was blood in my diarrhea.
Female | 21
Bright red blood in your stool or on the toilet paper are signs of many things such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and sometimes more serious conditions like colitis or even colorectal cancer. You need to see a gastroenterologist about this so they can find out what is causing it and give you the right treatment.

For over 10 years I have been experiencing a gas like illness and light headedness, and hungry all the time what can cause this to keep repeating itself?
Female | 37
Frequent gas, dizziness, and persistent hunger might be caused by different issues that range from nutritional problems, digestive system problems, or hormonal problems. Stress and anxiety are also factors that may influence the way your body reacts. Swapping bad habits of eating, hydrating yourself, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle apart may help you identify the triggers you are facing. Developing a food diary can be a way for both you and your healthcare provider to find patterns. It is a good idea to book an appointment with a gastroenterologist so that you have a detailed discussion about your symptoms.

This jeera appearance is sometimes due to infections, inflammation, or dietary changes. It would be better if you would focus more on the diet and increase the consumption of water. Moreover, stress management techniques such as meditation or yoga may also be helpful. You can consult a gastroenterologist for proper treatment.

Hello I am 13, and I have been suffering from acid reflux for about a month. I have talked to 2 doctors. I have been prescribed pepcid about 2 weeks ago. So my 2 week trial is over. But still I suffer from it. All pepcid was able to do is ease the symptoms a bit. How do I ease my anxiety and get rid of this illness forever?
Male | 13
Acid reflux can be caused by stress and anxiety, as well as dietary and lifestyle choices. You can manage stress and anxiety through relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, yoga, or meditation. If your symptoms persist despite medication and lifestyle changes, your doctor can recommend additional testing or referral to a specialist.

Male | 21
Body aches and stomach troubles for three days must be difficult. He may have caught a stomach bug. Such illnesses can cause body pain and abdominal discomfort. The best approach now is bed rest, staying hydrated with ample water, and consuming light fare like crackers and broth. Following this path should aid his recovery soon.

My dad response and reaction had come slow after he had alcohol a week back ...He was fine and very active until then. He used to alcoholic in the past and was ordered not to have alcohol anymore. We have consulted him in Manglore hospital and currently we are giving these tablets...he is improving but very gradually. I feel he is lacking many of the nutrients due to which this is happening.Could you please check. Urosocol 150 Evion 450 Sompraz 40 Cardivas 3.125 Laslilactone 50
Male | 64
It appears that after consuming alcohol, your father may have difficulty reacting and responding too slowly. This could be because his drinking depletes nutrients from his body. Although the pills can help, it is essential for him to also take a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains which are full of vitamins and minerals that promote recovery.

I was feeling unwell, was given some anti malarial, not much change, later typhoid was suspected, but I didn't do a test. I've been on ciproflaxacin, I feel like going for a blood check up but it might not work since I've been on medicine, am asking for advice
Male | 20
It seems that dealing with a complex situation. Being sick and taking drugs can lead to inaccurate results of a blood test. Knowing exactly what is wrong is necessary for the right treatment. Symptoms of fever, stomach ache and general body weakness are common in both malaria and typhoid. Failing to go through the test may complicate matters further. My advice is to wait for some days after completion of the ciprofloxacin course before going for a blood test. This will enable you to get clearer results about your health status.

Ive woken up with pain in the rib area in the upper abdomen and i think in lower back i got up and took a walk and the pain went away. 5 hours later i had black stool. I need to go to work in 3 hours should i call it of and seek immidiate checkup
Male | 24
Your pains and black stools sound concerning. Upper abdomen and back discomfort can signal gastritis or kidney issues. Black stools indicate internal bleeding, maybe stomach or intestines. You should see a gastroenterologist immediately, as this requires medical attention. For now, rest up, and don't strain yourself with heavy lifting.
