Hi. I've a question regarding my niece's skin problem. She is a 7-years old. She has developed red patches of skin on her cheek, chin and around nose. The affected area of her cheek is very dry. I brought her to a doctor who prescribed two creams, mezoderm(betamethasone) and gentamicin-akos which made things far worse. Then at the pharmacy I was advised to use ftorokart(also a cream with triamcinolone) for my niece's face. After a few uses of the cream, I've seen some noticeable improvement in her skin condition since she started to use it. It took the redness out of her nose. But she still has rash and blisters on her face. I took photos of her face in case it might be helpful for you to identify the reason for her skin condition. Here are the photos of hers: https://ibb.co/q9t8bSL https://ibb.co/Q8rqcr1 https://ibb.co/JppswZw https://ibb.co/Hd9LPkZ Would you mind helping us to identify what caused this skin condition?

According to the symptoms and signs described, it appears to be a case of atopic dermatitis which is common among children of the mentioned age. It is a condition where the skin barrier is disturbed and is extremely sensitive to external environmental triggers like cold and dry weather, dust etc. It presents as red dry itchy patches on cheeks, hands and legs sometimes whole body. The above mentioned creams contain topical corticosteroids which are to be used with a great caution under the supervision of Dermatologist. Good barrier repairing creams including emollients with squalene, ceramides etc can help reviving the skin barrier. Steroid sparing drugs can be prescribed to manage the rash. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist and do not use topical corticosteroids without doctor’s advice as it may cause many adverse effects.

Premature babies tend to have some delay in growth and development but will catch up later . Child needs detailed development assessment . There are specific parent questionnaire on development which parent can observe and answer . Child also needs formal hearing and speech assessment.
Extended or long screen times like cell phones / TV are best avoided .. as they have an impact on child s development.

I am 19 y/o and want to know that is their any chance or increasing height ? Should I consult pediatric endocrinologist?

No specialist can help you with your height issues, given that you have crossed 18.
When the growth plates situated near your long bones are still active, they allow lengthening to take place in long bones, which in turn affects your height.
But when the phase of your puberty ends, the hormonal changes can also result in growth plated becoming hardened/inactive, so now the lengthening of required bones doesn't takes place.

Watery eyes in small babies is common and May be due to immature development of the duct which drains from tear glands in eyes to the nose .
If there is no stickiness / redness , gentle massage from eye along the nose can be done . Breast fed babies and pass all types / colours of stools. Working mothers best option is to express and store breast milk. Additional feeds by formula available over the counter can be given

From what I understand, one of the pupils in your child's eye is smaller, this condition is known as Anisocoria, and it's causing him to have vision issues, so for this we will recommend that you visit a specialist.
While the pupils will remain just the way they are, but the vision-related issues can be fixed, refer our page - Pediatric Ophthalmologists in Mumbai.

It looks like he is putting lot of pressure to utter the word. It happens randomly and does not happen always. When we ask him to tell the word again, he will try but some time having difficulties and he stop saying and other time he tried and some how he is saying with wrong word like he will say mammy to ammy and bappi to appi, Not sure of the reason for this sudden change. Any advice will be helpful. Thank you.

The reasons may be varied. sometimes some parts of the brain can be affected as a result of shuttle ischemic attack (which is not uncommon in children) or maybe due to some metabolic cause that is affecting speech related to the brain. MRI BRAIN WITH MRI Spectroscopy should be done along with detailed physical &neurological examination of the child. Also, look for any worsening of other developmental domains for example difficulties in standing or in gripping something. You can also consult the Pediatricians for further information.

Dr.Jimmy shad doctor may hypospadies surgery kitna poisa khoroc hoya

Dr. Jimmy Shad practices at 2 clinics, so the cost will highly vary depending on their internal agreements, and there are other factors that can have a bearing on the incurred charges as well, such as: health history of the patient and the complexities faced during surgery.
So without any personal consultation, the price for this surgery simply cannot be deduced.
But otherwise, the cost of hypospadias surgery should broadly vary from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 4,00,000.
You can also refer our page to consult with other specialists - Pediatric Urologists.
