Could genital warts and painful periods affect fertility?
29 year old female, who is struggling to get pregnant. I had the Same implant for 8 years, I have genital warts. I have a lump that's painful before my periods on each side of my pelvic wall. I have irregular periods, acne and intercourse is painful, I have a dry vagina.
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 12th June '24
Based on your symptoms, it may be a sign of hormonal imbalances and potential disruptions due to the implantation use for a long period. In parallel, the condylomas may also affect your fertility. An alternative explanation of the origins of the lumps and pains before your periods is likely endometriosis. They must be thoroughly reviewed to lift hormones, remove genital warts, and treat the underlying causes of the pain episodes and irregular menstruation.

Is it true if clear blue says 2-3 means that you are 4-5 weeks pregnant ? because the last time I had my period was January.
Female | 20
When it indicates "2-3 weeks pregnant," it signifies 2-3 weeks post-conception, not from your last menstrual cycle. Since your previous period occurred in January if it displays 2-3 weeks, that typically implies you're around 4-5 weeks expectant. Symptoms like queasiness and fatigue are typical during early gestation. Ensure you consume prenatal supplements and consult an a gynecologist for appropriate care.

I 22 year old female had unprotected Intercourse on 3rd day of my periods and now after 5 days of this I am experiencing light blood Am I pregnant? Or is it just residual blood after period
Female | 22
The light bleeding you're experiencing could be due to various reasons. It might be passed blood from your period or implantation bleeding, which sometimes occurs in early pregnancy. Some typical first symptoms of pregnancy are nausea, tiredness, and sensitivity of the breast. If you're worried about being pregnant, a pregnancy test is a reliable method to find out. If you continue to have concerns or the bleeding persists, it's a good idea to talk to a gynecologist for more personalized guidance.

I am 25 years old Female having lower abdominal pain and cramps
Female | 25
Many things might cause lower tummy pain and cramps in a 25-year-old woman. If you have your period, it could be related to that but it could also be a stomach bug or something else. If urine burns when passing and frequency is also increased, chances are that this problem may be due to UTI. Take lots of fluids including water and some OTC painkillers may help as well. However, you should see a gynecologist if none of these methods work for you.

i'm suffering from Bartholin's cyst..It's now 3 days and it's painful
Female | 30
A Bartholin’s cyst occurs when a gland near the vagina becomes blocked. Often, you’ll experience a lump or swelling as well as some discomfort. To relieve the pain and encourage drainage, take warm baths several times a day. If this doesn’t help within a week or if things get worse, you should see a gynecologist.

Female | 19
A prolapse happens when the tissue gets weak near your private area. After intimacy, it bulges out like a placenta. You might feel pressure or discomfort. Don't lift heavy stuff for now. Doctors sometimes suggest exercises. They may recommend a supportive device too. But don't worry; this is treatable. Talk to a gynecologist about advice.

Female | 38
You have adenomyosis. It causes heavy periods, pain in your pelvic area, and bloating. The tablets from your gynecologist help with symptoms. It was good to get another ultrasound to confirm adenomyosis. Your gynecologist may restart the medication or try other treatments based on your situation.

Why my period lasting for too long
Female | 20
Is your period lasting too long? If it's over 7 days, hormonal changes could be the cause. Stress, poor diet, and health issues can also play a role. Heavy bleeding and feeling tired are common signs. Eating nutritious foods, managing stress, and getting proper rest may help regulate your cycle. However, if the issue persists, it's important to see a gynecologist for personalized advice.

does combined birth control pills really stop ovulation
Female | 20
Yes, combined birth control pills, the combination of which are effective at inhibiting ovulation and therefore each month doesn't release any eggs, do this by stopping ovulation. This also makes it more difficult for sperm to swim to the egg. Mucus production in the vagina is one of the reasons why the egg is not reached by sperm. By this means of contraception, the chance of becoming pregnant decreases. They work well if the rules are strictly followed. Make sure to take the pills every day as prescribed and you will be protected. Don't hesitate to consult your gynecologist if there is anything that worries you or if you experience any side effects.

She is a 16 years girl she getting pain after fingering And Pain lasts for 10 minutes and then goes away after 1 or 2 hours Is it about to happen or has been happening since last 3 days What to do to stop this pain or how much pain will it cause?
Female | 16
One cause might be that there wasn't enough lubrication when the finger was inserted. Lack of proper lubrication can cause friction and pain. Using a water-based lubricant can help prevent this. The pain should lessen if she takes a break and lets her body rest. If the pain continues or worsens, she should contact a gynecologist.

hey doc i have been having a pain in my outer area of vagina but i have never had sex before what could be the problem please advice
Female | 24
Nerve sensitivity might be why the pain has been occurring, which is called vulvodynia, in the area. A skin rash, an infection, or tight-fitting clothes could be among other probable culprits. To help the pain, wearing loose, cotton underwear, avoiding soaps that irritate, and using a cold compress may be soothing. The discomfort should be reported to a gynecologist if it does not go away or gets worse.

Me and my wife had sex on 10th day after her periods started we used condom and now she have bleeding for past 2 days is there anything to worry?
Female | 24
If the intercourse was rough, it could just be irritation making itself known, or possibly even a small tear in your partner’s vaginal wall. Look out for any sign that it might have been more than that, like if there’s pain at all beyond normal discomfort during sex, or weird discharge afterward.

Missed period, last periods on july 6th is starting date.i cannot sleep well.and i am sure i m not a pregnant .i need some medicine to get immediate periods
Female | 33
Sometimes stress or sudden changes in a routine may lead to late periods. It is good that you are 100% sure of not being pregnant. Yoga stretching, drinking enough water, and eating a balanced diet might come in handy in inducing your period. The period is late, and if it doesn't work out, it is better to consult a gynecologist for some medications.

I have took abortion tablet on 20 July period was till 6 days after that it again started in from 14 August and some time flow of period is less some time more still
Female | 29
It is fine that your menstruation period has developed some variations after using abortion pills. Sometimes, the flow can be either more or less than usual. This can be a result of the body’s hormonal level changes. Take it easy and give your body some time to adjust. Keep practicing good hydration and get plenty of rest. If you continue to have concerns, visit a gynecologist.

Missing a period of 2 months and 6 days can be caused by many different reasons. The classic cause is being stressed. Among other reasons, hormonal imbalances, excessive exercise, or weight changes can be the causes of the problem.
