Can Stem Cell Treatment Beat Deep Brain Stimulation for Dystonia?

Doctor, the patient has cerebral palsy dystonia. Is steam cell treatment better ordeep brain stimulation beneficial for him, Because deep brain stimulation is beneficial for Parkinson’s patients only, and its success rate is high because it is primary dystonia and he has secondary dystonia. Thank you very much.

In this case, deep brain stimulation may not be the best choice since it's typically used for Parkinson's disease. Stem cell therapy that replaces damaged cells instead could be one of the ways to do it. Cerebral palsy dystonia can cause muscle stiffness or uncontrollable movements. Always consult with a doctor to explore suitable options.

I havent slept for 37 hours am i in danger?

Male | 21

It sounds like you're struggling with sleep. Short-term sleep deprivation can cause fatigue, dizziness, difficulty focusing, mood swings, and forgetfulness. It's important to address this issue promptly, as an ongoing lack of sleep can seriously affect your health and cognitive abilities. Try techniques like deep breathing, calming music, or creating a comfortable sleep environment to help you relax. If sleep problems persist or you're worried about your sleep patterns, consider seeking advice from a doctor or a sleep specialist.

Hello, I am suffering from muscle weakness of hands and legs for 2 weeks. 4 days ago doctor confirmed that I have GBS (AMAN) by NCS and CSF study test. But my physical condition is better than most other patient. I am explaining my conditions to you : - I can walk but slowly and not like normal me - I can stand up from sitting on the bed - I can't stand up from sitting on the floor - I can't stand up from sitting on the sofa - I can lift a highest 500 ml bottle with hands - I can eat like a normal person but I have to give a little pressure in the neck - I can't cough with the full strength My condition is improving a little day by day. Doctor haven't suggested IVIG or Plasma exchange for the treatment. They said I will be cured by only Physiotherapy and Exercise. What are your comments about my physical condition ? Can you suggest me something for that will help me to recover soon ? Thanks is Advance...

This may cause weakness in the muscles of the hands and legs. I am glad that you are getting better. What has been recommended by your doctor is very important- physiotherapy and exercise. These two things can strengthen your muscles and help you regain your ability to move around. Ensure that you strictly adhere to what they say and remember that healing will take time so don’t get tired of waiting.

I feel like my head is always hot. While studying it feels like it's totally stuffed and I need to wash my head with cold water to relax and didn't have any memory about what I taught in previous day

Female | 18

You might be suffering from stress or fatigue. When you start getting a hot and closed head and you often find yourself in a state of amnesia it might be a sign that you are tired and your brain is asking for a rest. Take breaks while studying, drink plenty of water, and give your body enough rest.

I’ve been Dey for over 6months and today I woke up to see that I bed wet

Male | 18

Bedwetting, also called nighttime enuresis, happens when urine is released during sleep. It can be caused by factors like a small bladder, deep sleep, or stress. While it's common in kids, some adults experience it too. To help, limit fluids before bed, use the bathroom before sleeping, and try a bathroom alarm. If it continues, consult a doctor for more solutions.

Sir, I have headache like tight band with nausea, stress, tension. Sir,Please give me some medicines for relief.

Male | 17

I see that you have a tight band headache around your head and feel like vomiting because of anxiety and stress as well. These signs might mean that you have a tension-type headache; typically caused by bad posture at work or eyestrain from looking at computer screens all day long. You could take some painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen to help relieve the pain in your head. Moreover try and calm down by breathing deeply plus drink lots of water. If this feeling doesn’t go away please go see a doctor so they can check it out.

I hear a whistling sound in my ears. I think I have a disease called tinnitus. Please tell me some medicine to cure this disease.

Male | 24

Tinnitus is not a disease but rather a symptom of something else. It may be due to circumstances such as exposure to loud noises, ear infections, or even stress. Unfortunately, no medication is specifically designed to cure tinnitus. Nevertheless, coping with stress, limiting exposure to loud sounds, and applying sound therapy can reduce the symptoms.

Hi, my mom.Doesn't talk after fainting.I don't know why I need to know what can I do.She fainting because she was angry and nervous a lot

Female | 37

Your mom may have fainted because she was upset and worried. People sometimes don’t start talking right away after fainting. They usually become responsive again shortly. Try to keep her calm and let her know everything is okay. Ensure she is lying down comfortably. If she doesn’t begin speaking soon or displays any other worrying signs, calling for medical assistance immediately would be advisable.

I get these severe headaches that's starts from my eyes Before the actual headache starts my eyes gets like the rippling water effect that starts from the outer of the eyeball As theat progresses I get this severe headache on either side of my brain towards the centre where it feels like a stabbing pain. Sometimes my ears start painingand the headache lasts for 3-5 hours where I have to stop what I'm doing and lay down and take a pain tablet and sleep. Even while my eyes are closed I see the rippling water. Sometimes I get it 2-3 times in a day and I'm totally drained out. Even when the headaches stop the brain still pains for days...a simple cough and my brain pains. I also get very hot and perspire. Sometimes my face feels numbs and I feel almost lifeless and don't want to talk or move that's how severe the pain is. What is this?
