Hi, I just got my results back from a lumbar MRI and it says I have buldging associated with anular tear discs L4 and L5. And deshidrated discs L4 and L5. What does this mean? Will I get better without surgery? Will I ever get back to normal? Will I ever be able to go back to the gym and cycling? Right now I feel tight and Im in pain no matter the position, it's hard to do normal day activities and to walk kinda long distances, I can't lift anything not even light things and can't bend forward. I WILL take the results to the doctor once I get my paycheck but I wanna get a 2nd opinion in the meantime. Thanks

If you have bulging or herniated discs in your lower back, it can cause pain and stiffness. This is usually due to aging, general “wear and tear,” or injury. Most of these problems can improve with physical therapy, rest, and pain medicine. Surgery may be needed in some cases. Visit an orthopedist to find out the treatment options.

Back burning and chubhan
Male | 25
This might be a result of many things like straining your muscles, sleeping in a bad position, or even having problems with the nerves. You may also experience it if you have been sitting or standing for long periods or lifting heavy objects. To relieve this, you can do some gentle stretching exercises, correct your posture, and use warm pads. In case this feeling continues, visit an orthopedist.

Female | 20
This is a situation where the discs that act as cushions to separate the spinal bones slip out of position and eventually start compressing the neighboring nerve roots. This condition could cause pain in the back as well as difficulty in sitting or bending. Some measures like soft movements of the body, hot and cold compresses, or physical therapy may be helpful. If these treatments do not work, you can consult an orthopedist for further treatments.

What is carpal tunnel syndrome?
Male | 23
Your median nerve is a principal nerve in your hand. When squeezed, it brings on carpal tunnel syndrome. That's a condition mostly occurring around the wrist area. Pain, numbness, or tingling in the hand and fingers are symptoms. Exercises and wrist splints can help ease it.

i’m an 18 year old female i’ve had shoulder pain for 7-8 months ever since a truck hood fell on me it’s cause serious pain and otc medication doesn’t help. i’ve gotten scans but no results back yet.
Female | 18
This may occur due to torn muscles or because the tendons gained injuries. Unrelenting pain might require more therapeutic medications, such as physiotherapy, and it can also go to surgery if the scan shows the result. You took the right path first to have the scans done. Take breaks ask for help, and visit an orthopedist.

I have wrist pain at both hands. At the left hand, it is the worst. I feel the pain right at my pinky finger side sometimes and when I supinate my hand, the pain goes to the middle from the ulnar side. At the right hand, here is pain too but its mild compared to the left one. It isn't even noticable when I stretch my right hand.
Male | 17
It sounds like you may be experiencing wrist pain, possibly due to overuse or strain. For your left hand, the pain focused around the pinky finger side could indicate issues with the ulnar nerve. It's important to consult a doctor, preferably an orthopedic specialist, for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. For the mild pain in your right hand, a medical evaluation is recommended to address any underlying causes and prevent further discomfort.

It's for scapula problem
Female | 17
Scapula is the big bone in your upper back area - the shoulder blade. Scapula issues arise from overexertion, poor posture, or injury. You might experience sharp pains, stiffness, or arm mobility issues. Try gentle stretching exercises, apply ice packs, and take pain medication for relief. However, it's crucial to rest your body and avoid activities worsening the condition. If discomfort persists, consulting an orthopedist would be advisable for proper guidance.

Hi i fell on the ground after taking a bath my left arm is hurting and when i twist on the right side it hurt even more still hurting when it's still.
Male | 16
The pain might occur the most when you turn in a clockwise direction. It could be due to a sprain or pull in the muscles or even a fracture in the bone. Your arm should be rested, iced, and worked without movement. If the pain doesn't go away, the best step to take would be to consult an orthopedist.

Hi, I'm taking 1.5ml of Testosterone Ethanate 300mg/ml once per week but I'm due to get a cortisone injection in my hand for trigger finger in 2 weeks time. Will this be ok to have whilst I'm taking this?
Male | 40
Testosterone Ethanate (T.E.) is a hormone, while cortisone is a medication used to reduce inflammation. Getting a cortisone injection for the trigger finger shouldn't be an issue while on T.E., as they work differently in the body. However, always inform your orthopedist about all medications you're taking. Trigger finger occurs due to tendon inflammation, causing fingers to get stuck in a bent position. A corticosteroid injection can reduce the inflammation and relieve symptoms.

I have inner thigh pain
Female | 28
The involvement in a thigh muscle can be separated from the skin, a sensation like tingling, aching in the hips, or a soreness in the groin developing a tear that causes discomfort but is usually not serious. The typical culprits are muscle strain caused by overwork or swift movement. It could also be the result of minor injuries or skin inflammation. Have some rest and apply ice to the inflamed area while at the same time, stretching the area slowly. If any discomfort continues or intensifies, discuss the matter with an orthopedist.

Consult an orthopedist soon if you're experiencing reduced function in your fingers after a wrist injury and stitches. The cause of your symptoms may be nerve damage or reduced blood flow to the affected area, which results from certain types of injuries or surgical procedures.
