Taking an emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hours of unprotected sex can greatly reduce the chance of pregnancy, but it is not 100% effective. So how to know if unwanted 72 has worked? It's the bleeding you experienced which is a common side effect of the pill and is a sign that the pill is working to prevent pregnancy. If you are still concerned, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm.

There is still a possibility of pregnancy even after taking the emergency contraceptive pill like Unwanted 72. However, bleeding after 7 days is a positive sign that the pill has worked. To be sure, it is recommended to take a pregnancy test after a missed period. It is also important to practice safe sex and use contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

It is normal to bleed after swallowing an emergency contraceptive pill; it is usually not a serious condition. This bleeding is normally less than a usual period and takes place due to hormonal changes associated with the pill. Important to note that this bleeding is not like a normal menstruation. If the bleeding is heavy or long-lasting, and especially if there are other worrying symptoms beforehand, seeking medical advice can be useful. More importantly, it also needs to be mentioned that emergency contraception is not a routine birth control mechanism

You are experiencing abnormal bleeding between periods, which can happen for various reasons. Sometimes, hormonal changes or problems with the uterus can be the reason for this. To treat it, you may have to take some tests to determine the exact cause. A gynecologist is the best person to see for an accurate diagnosis and management of the condition.

Missed periods upto days up
Female | 24
Period irregularities can come about due to several causes. Stress, fluctuations in body weight, as well as hormonal changes, are the lead causes. Pregnancy is also a potential factor if you have sexual intercourse. Side effects are usually bloating, mood swings, and breast tenderness among others. You can check your cycles and see if they come back to a regular schedule. If not, discussing it with a gynecologist may assist in identifying the problem.

I am a 24 year old female . After noticing crusty cheese discharge my labia has been itchy and swollen (stiff) and sticking out . My clitoris also looks swollen . What do I do ?
Female | 24
It looks like a yeast infection, in my opinion. The symptoms are due to a type of bacteria. These bacteria love damp and warm regions such as the vagina. Instead of visiting a professional, you can try over-the-counter antifungals. To ensure that the area is always neat and dry. If the symptoms are still the same, be sure to visit a gynecologist for further guidance.

Hello dr my name is dhruvisha Katariya. I am 20 year old. I had sex with my partner a day ago. We also used protection. Now my period date It has come. But my periods have not come.
Female | 20
It's completely normal for periods to be late sometimes even if you have used protection. Common causes could be stress, a change in routine, or hormonal imbalance. If you are concerned, wait a few more days and then take a home pregnancy test. Remember that irregular periods can happen but it is always good to get checked out just in case.

Female | 21
Spotting between periods can occur for many reasons. Hormonal shifts may cause it. Infections could also lead to spotting. Certain medications might also be the cause. Stress is another potential reason for spotting to happen. To determine the specific cause, a visit to a gynecologist is recommended.

29 year old female-late period that started light and then heavy and is still ongoing after 10 days
Female | 29
A late, inconsistent period lasting ten days needs attention. Your body's signaling something - it could be hormonal imbalance, stress, or maybe polycystic ovary syndrome. Track those symptoms carefully. You might want to consult a gynecologist for advice on solutions and further evaluation.

Meri umra 46 h do mahine se mc se nahi hui hu or pregnancy chahti hu kya ye sambhav h.
Female | 46
At 46 years it is still possible to conceive and become pregnant, although fertility generally decreases as women get older. There could be various reasons for the missed menstrual cycles, like hormonal imbalances, perimenopause (the transitional phase before menopause), stress, certain medical conditions, or even pregnancy.
Since you're trying to conceive, it's important to consider the possibility of pregnancy as well. I recommend that you take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as the cause of the missed periods. If the test is negative and your menstrual cycles remain irregular or absent, it would be advisable to consult a gynecologist.

I did an abortion with pills last month after I tested positive for pregnancy. I bled for 6days and pregnancy symptoms disappeared. Now I tested negative but the pregnancy symptoms are back. And I've not seen my period
Female | 25
You might encounter pregnancy-like signs following abortion pills usage, despite a negative result. Hormonal fluctuations within your body could trigger these symptoms. Sometimes, irregular menstruation occurs post-abortion, delaying your period. Remain calm and be patient. However, if symptoms persist or you have concerns, consult your gynecologist promptly.

After taking two misoprostol I got my periods should I take another misoprostol or not
Female | 30
Periods are usual after taking misoprostol for an abortion. If two tablets made your periods begin, you typically don't need extra misoprostol. Your period means the medicine worked properly. Keep watching your period closely. Contact your gynecologist if any worries arise.

Please answer this question. I had an intercourse on oct 24th which Includes only anal penetration around 20 sec with no ejaculation at all . No contact with vagina at all.she had her bleedings on Nov 8th ,dec 6th,jan 3rd and Feb 2nd and last for 3+ days. Did urine pregnancy test on Dec 30 with Evening urine and showed negative. And on Jan 29th( 13+ weeks after intercourse ) did an ultrasound scan at a small clinic and they said no pregnancy is identified. Can I believe the results ?. Do I need any another scan. I'm conserning about cryptic pregnancy. Please give me a clear answer and provide some peace to my mind.
Male | 20
Based on your detailed information, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant, especially since you have had regular menstrual cycles and negative pregnancy tests. The ultrasound conducted 13 weeks after the event further supports this. Cryptic pregnancies are rare and typically present with symptoms like missed periods, but you have had normal bleeding. If you remain concerned, it's reasonable to consult a gynecologist to address any lingering worries.

I'm concerned about the potential side effects of taking emergency contraceptive pills frequently. I've heard that taking them multiple times a month can cause problems, but I'm not sure what those issues are. Can you provide information on the potential risks of taking an i-Pill twice a month?
Male | 25
Taking emergency contraceptive pills like i-Pill frequently can lead to irregular menstrual cycles, nausea, fatigue, and breast tenderness. While occasional use is generally safe, relying on them could disrupt your hormonal balance, making it harder to predict your cycle. The best approach for birth control is to consult a gynecologist who can recommend a suitable long-term method tailored to your needs. This way, you can ensure effective protection while minimizing any risks associated with emergency contraception.

Iam 7 weeks pregnant had an ultrasound yesterday ....baby heart beat is found..but a small subchorionic collection is seen near the g- sac of about 10×3 mm ....is this collection is small or large please tell me
Female | 28
The subchorionic collection near the gestational sac is a small bubble, measuring about 10 by 3 millimeters. Sometimes, these collections can cause light bleeding during pregnancy. Staying calm and avoiding heavy lifting may help. Most of the time, these collections fade away as the pregnancy progresses. It's important to see a gynecologist for any further advice.

Can I have child at 43 years
Female | 42
Having a baby at 43 isn't impossible, yet it presents challenges. As women age, chances of conceiving drop and pregnancy risks climb. Irregular periods or trouble getting pregnant could occur. This stems from declining egg quantity and quality over time. Consulting a gynecologist is wise; they'll guide you through suitable options.

Yesterday my condom burst during intercourse and I would like to know whether the morningafter pill helps her even though she takes the normal pill. Since we are not in Germany at the moment, we urgently need a message. It's the 6th day she's been taking the pill after her bleeding
Female | 18
Emergency contraception should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. While the morning-after pill can remain useful, even when you are taking normal birth control pills regularly. Gynecologists should always be consulted for personalized and punctual advice.

Can I breastfeed while having alcoho
Female | 28
It is generally recommended to avoid consuming alcohol while breastfeeding, as alcohol can pass into breast milk and affect your baby. Even small amounts of alcohol can potentially be harmful to a nursing infant. When you consume alcohol, it enters your bloodstream, and some of it will be present in your breast milk. As a result, your baby will consume the alcohol when they breastfeed. Infants metabolize alcohol at a slower rate than adults, which means it can take longer for their bodies to eliminate it.
Alcohol consumption while breastfeeding can have several negative effects on your baby. And the safest approach for your baby's health is to abstain from alcohol while breastfeeding.

"Hello, I'm 24 years old. I had unprotected sex on October 16, four days before my period, which started on October 20. My menstrual cycle typically lasts 27 days. Now, 12 days before my next period, I'm experiencing: - Fatigue - chills - sweating - Tender breasts - Increased vaginal discharge - Nighttime nausea - Increased appetite Could I be pregnant considering I had sex four days before my period?
Female | 24
The chances of achieving pregnancy four days before your period are low. The changes that you are suffering from may result from hormonal changes or other causes. Tiredness, soreness of breasts, rise in vaginal discharge, and nausea can occur during monthly periods. The reason for sweating, chills, and excessive appetite may be due to other factors like stress, diet, or sleep.

Having yeastinfections that recurring every 2 month.i have try candid-v, fluconoazole.
Female | Khadiza
This is how yeast infections occur: when a fungus called Candida grows too much. Itching, burning, and unusual discharge are all symptoms. Tight clothes, antibiotics, and being immunocompromised can all cause them. You can prevent having so many yeast infections by wearing cotton underwear, not douching, and eating right. If they persist, visit a gynecologist.
