I am an 18 year old female and have recently been prescribed 25mg of setraline. However i haven't started taking it yet as i didn't feel i got to ask the questions that concerned me about starting this medication and talk about the side effects before committing to this medication.

Sertraline is often a drug to treat feelings of anxiety or depression. Undoubtedly, nausea, headaches, or tiredness can be among the common side effects. But these typically go away by themselves after a short period. If you notice anything that concerns you or if you have any unusual symptoms, speaking with your psychiatrist is a helpful thing to do.

I have been taking paliperidone for the past month. I have been out of it for a couple days so I decided to take some Seroquel to help with the voices and whatnot that I have been hearing. Is there any need to be concerned about the drug interactions if I haven't had any paliperidone I close to 48 hours?

Male | 37

Switching between medicines like paliperidone and Seroquel is tricky. Even if time passed since your last paliperidone dose, drug interactions may happen. Mixing them risks dizziness, drowsiness, and uneven heartbeats. Consulting your doctor for personalized advice is wise.

Can taking zertec and flounase cause depression

Female | 16

Zertec and Flonase are antihistamines used for the treatment of allergies. And nasal congestion, but no direct evidence supports their association with depression On the other hand, if one is showing signs of depression it is necessary to visit a psychiatrist for accurate diagnosis and therapy, not self medication recommended

I have recently increased my anixety & nervousness....and I have suffered from emotional break...

Female | 29

Experiencing symptoms like a rapid heartbeat, restlessness, or difficulty concentrating can be the usual picture during these times. Very stressful life events, changes in one's life situation, or circumstances that are too much to handle can be some of the reasons behind it. Reducing stress is easy to start with by taking time out to focus on handling what makes you feel unwell. This can be done by following relaxation methods like the abdominal breathing procedure and the inclusion of mindfulness meditation in self-management, performing physical exercise, and keeping healthy sleep patterns. Speaking with a friend, family member, or other loved ones can be highly beneficial, too.

Is exercise good for akathisia caused by ssri meds

Male | 22

Akathisia, the condition characterized by undue restlessness or an uncontrolled compulsion to move the body, even muscle contractions or spasms that may occur, are among the side effects of the intake of SSRIs. A physical regime that is regular will help decrease anxiety and boost the overall health status of an individual. Low-intensity exercises like walking and yoga have the energy to be miracles. However, each case is different from the other, and suggest you take your symptoms and exercise programs to your doctor.

Hi, I am on the contraceptive implant and have been experiencing anxiety. Should I get this out?

Female | 21

When it comes to using a contraceptive implant, it's common to feel worried about anxiety. The hormonal changes caused by this method, on rare occasions, can sometimes cause mood swings. First of all, it can be extremely helpful to track when these feelings appear and any other symptoms you notice. Maybe, you can consider going to your doctor for a discussion, since he/she can scientifically evaluate your condition and propose other therapies in case of need. Keep in mind, you are not the only person in this situation and the medical practitioner can help you ease your panic and will apply a resolution suitable specifically for your needs. Your comfort and health are important, so please reach out to the required specialist for advice.
