What medication treats a 1-month TFCC injury?
I have tfcc injury about a 1 month which medicine is taken to treat this
Joint Replacement Surgeon
Answered on 23rd May '24
Seeing an orthopedist and getting a full diagnosis and a treatment plan is the first thing I would advise you to do for the TFCC injury. The specialist would probably issue a script for painkillers, immobilization, and/or physiotherapy and surgery only if the damage is severe.

I'm 50 year old facing sharp pain behind knee muscle after hit in knee
Female | 50
The pain could be due to a knee injury, so rest your knee and avoid putting weight on it. Consult an orthopedist and take pain medications as prescribed. And keep applying ice. If the pain persists or worsens keep your knee elevated and use crutches or a knee brace if you need to move around.

I hurt my big toe at football practice, it hurts and is bent a bit inwards like a little tilt, please help me
Male | 18
A sprained big toe might cause it to bend a bit and make it painful. Swelling up, making walking difficult too. This often happens from twisting or hitting the toe hard. Ice, rest, elevation, and pain meds may help ease things. But if it doesn't get better, see an orthopedist.

I had a sharp pain when I woke up and I want to know if I should go into the office for it
Female | 23
Waking with discomfort can seem worrisome, yet common causes exist. It might've been from an awkward sleeping position or strained muscles. Try gentle stretching exercises or a warm shower for relief. However, if pain persists or intensifies, then seeking medical attention from an orthopedist would be prudent.

Rheumatoid factor arthritis problem
Female | 25
Your immune system protects you, but sometimes it mistakes friend for foe. That's what happens in rheumatoid arthritis—immune cells attack your joints instead of defending them. Mornings can be stiff and painful as joints swell. Medications can ease the pain and slow joint damage, but staying active and eating well are just as important in managing this condition.

Hi Im a 26yo female, I got a lumbar MRI done because my back pain was giving me trouble to do daily activities, I cant bend forward, walk longish distances and it feels tight and hurts even when sitting or laying all these symptoms were random, I havent fell nor lifted anything too heavy, results say I have buldging associated with anular tear discs L4 and L5. And deshidrated discs L4 and L5. What does this mean? Will I get better without surgery? Will I ever get back to normal? Will I ever be able to go back to the gym and cycling? I WILL take the results to the doctor once I get my paycheck but I wanna get a 2nd opinion in the meantime. Thanks
Female | 26
Bulging and annular tear discs at L4 and L5 mean the discs in your lower back are damaged and dehydrated, which is causing your pain. Most cases improve with physical therapy, rest, and medication, and surgery is often not needed. However, it's important to consult an orthopedic specialist for a proper treatment plan. They can give you the best advice on recovery and return to activities like gym and cycling.

i am 25 years old, around 1.5 months ago i had a road accident, cause of that i had injury on my forhead , i had depressed forhead (frontal bone fracture). my doctor just gave me some medicines, and ask to come after 1 month. is it normal or what should i do. i'm not facing any side effect, for me everything looks normal. i just want to know is it normal, or i should change the doctor and go for surgery or i should wait.
Male | 25
Usually, a physician will watch and wait before deciding whether or not to operate on you. A depressed frontal bone fracture can heal itself if no problems are being caused by it. It is good that you have no side effects. Just do as the doctor says, keep on taking your medicines and don't miss any appointment for check up. In case there is any change let me know or if things get worse consult with an orthopedist as soon as possible.

My 8 year old daughter recently got diagnosed with a 63 degree thoracic dextro curvature (scoliosis). Will she have to have surgery?
Female | 8
A 63-degree thoracic dextro curve in an 8-year-old is hardly a short one. Your daughter may need surgery at some point, but careful watching is essential. Sometimes, bracing or physical therapy can help. Surgery is usually the last option considered for severe curves or if the curve is worsening rapidly. Hence, let us monitor it and collaborate with the doctors to come up with the best plan.

Hand problem my elbow is gone to fracture
Male | 25
Your elbow might be broken. When the elbow is broken, you can feel pain, see swelling, and can’t move your arm easily. Fractures may occur by falling or putting too much pressure on the joint while doing some activities. A cast or sling may be required for your elbow to heal, but sometimes an operation is necessary too. Don't forget to follow up with an orthopedist.

Sir I am 23 I have grade 2 acl tear, sir its already been 3 months now sir pls guide me on how can I heal my ACL tear naturally, should I go for prp or stem cell therapy?
Male | 23
When you have an ACL tear, it is because the ligament in your knee is overextended. In addition to resting and doing some light exercises, you should ice your knee. Although PRP or stem cell therapy could be useful for a speedy recovery, consulting with your healthcare provider on these treatments is the best way to determine the optimal care for your case.

I have a small tumor in my bicep its nit painful but when i touch it it ache a little is it serious?
Male | 18
Unlike lumps that result from injury, there are cancerous lumps that will go away without treatment. If the tumor is not sore and only hurts when pressed, it could be a benign growth. However, you should seek medical attention for this.

I am having pain in my right bum bone area and its affecting me when i walk. The pain is sharp and throbbing and sometime its making my leg and knees weak. but i have also missed my period but having cramps could this be related. I have drank celecoxib and cocodamol tablets but no relief. What could be wrong with me. I am 26 years old and and 5'9 in height
Female | 26
The pain, leg, and knee weakness, missed period, and cramping might be linked to sciatica, a condition where a nerve in your lower back is pressed, causing pain to radiate down your leg and potentially affecting your menstrual cycle. While celecoxib and co-codamol can help with pain, it's important to consult an orthopedist for a thorough check-up and accurate diagnosis.

Little toe pain for 4 months
Female | 18
Little toe pain for 4 months is quite a long time. Shoes that do not fit well or a small injury may be the cause. At times, however, some diseases such as arthritis may be responsible for the long-lasting pain as well. To relieve swelling and discomfort, ice the area, rest your foot, and wear comfortable shoes. If the pain persists, it's advisable to see an orthopedist.
