Answered on 9th July '24
You may have a fissure in your anus which could hurt a lot and make you uncomfortable. A fissure is like a tiny cut on the skin around your bottom. It is caused by passing hard stool, running stomach, or diseases like Crohn`s disease. Symptoms may include pain when passing stool and sometimes even bleeding. To alleviate these symptoms, try taking more fiber in your diet, drinking enough water daily, and applying creams to soothe the affected area.

Hello, I am 22, female, I’m struggling to eat food, I feel sick and full after a few bites, my mouth takes forever to chew and break down food, I am on holiday, and have taken 3 days off from smoking weed, I only had 1 or 2 a night anyway and would eat sober in the day, I’m worried that I will lose weight or start feeling extremely weak, I don’t know what to do as it does stay down but I can only have a few bites of everything, I’m underweight as it is anyway so this is a concern, cannot be pregnancy
Female | 22
I see that you’re having a hard time eating and you feel nauseous, especially after only eating a little bit. This could be why you’re experiencing these symptoms while taking a break from smoking marijuana. Common factors may be withdrawal from weed or even just feeling anxious. It is important to keep yourself hydrated and try having small frequent meals. You might want to talk to a gastroenterologist for more help with your situation.

Hi, I am a healthy 54 year old male. I have been doing some routine annual lab tests near my home, where they do comprehensive labs for check-up. I have been doing it for several years, and everything is basically normal. However, I just received a lab result, CA 19-9, which is elevated (44), normal is below 34. I actually had this lab test CA 19-9 way back in 7/2022, when the level was 12 (normal). Then I had it in annual testing on 9/2023, and it was 25 (but within normal limits). In the past 6-12 months, I have had normal lactate and amylase levels too. Also, all my other blood test from yesterday were normal, including liver function test (and normal bilirubin), normal CBC, normal CEA level, normal amylase, normal sedimentation rate, normal TSH, normal blood chemistry. Of note, I also had a normal DNA stool test (cologuard) 3 years ago. I also had normal FIT stool test 2 months ago, and also last year (twice it was normal). I have no symptoms and no weight loss, and no signs of jaundice. I am not overweight either, and I do not smoke nor drink alcohol. And no one in my family has had cancer before. As I mentioned, this was incidental, but I would like to know your opinion if this is ominous, and next steps. I have schedule a full body MRI scan for next week too. Thank you.
Male | 54
An increase in the level of CA 199 causes an alarm. You will get the most thorough examination if you consult a specialist. However, because CA 199 levels can be associated with certain gastrointestinal conditions, you may want to make an appointment with a gastroenterologist as well.

I m 40 years old. I m suffering from fissure in anus. It gives me pain
Male | 40
Fissures are little rips in the skin around the anus. Passing hard stools, diarrhea, or inflammatory bowel disease can cause them. To heal the fissure, drink plenty of water, eat foods high in fiber, and use stool softeners. You might need creams or ointments too so that it does not hurt as much and heals faster.

mucous is coming from anus with feacal matter and minute blood
Male | 16
The bleeding and the discharge of the mucus from the anus together with poop could be a symptom of inflammation in the intestines. This could be the result of a condition like hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or infections. It is crucial to consume fiber-rich foods, take a lot of water, and not to strain during bowel movements. If these signs persist, seek medical help from a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and treatment.

I recently had typhoid & some bacteria infection and was given some medication but after the medication I still feel a little unwell (not so intense) I feel a little het from within
Male | 29
Even after taking the medication, if you're still feeling a bit unwell and experiencing internal heat, it might mean there are still some lingering issues. The problem of bacteria being incompletely cleared out which leads to persistent symptoms is one of the possible explanations. Hydration, taking adequate rest, and going for further observations and treatment are the most important tips to be followed with a gastroenterologist to stay healthy.

I'm not sure from when bubble or foamy urine started.but I noticed it on 28th August night. later I found more bubble in urine at 29th August night and 30th August morning... now The bubble or foam is present during morning after waking up..but due to drinking too much water , the rest of the day the bubbles becomes almost zero or very few ...after flush there are still 5-6 bubbles stays that bursts after few seconds.. I'm giving the photo of today's urine after waking up in the morning (3rd September).. one thing to mention that I'm taking rablet 20 before breakfast everyday.. I had Pangastritis and H.pylori infection one year ago...later it's found that H.pylori is gone but still gastritis is present in small area.. now a days I'm also having a little problem with fart(gas) and very mild pain in lower back that can not be felt until given full attention.
Male | 26
You have a problem with foamy urine which may have come from the consumption of excessive protein in your diet or some kidney malfunction could be the cause here. The foam in your urine may provide certain medications like Rablet 20 as a possible cause. It's good that the bubbles reduce throughout the day when you drink water, but if you notice a persistent issue with foamy urine, it's best to talk to a urologist about it.

I have a sudden pains near the belly button and right lower corner of the abdomen which is sharp and it comes suddenly in the evening .
Female | 18
Your symptoms suggest appendicitis - an inflamed appendix. Pain starts sharply near the navel, then shifts to the lower right abdomen. Fever, nausea, vomiting often occur too. Act quickly! Appendicitis needs urgent hospital treatment, maybe surgery. Delaying risks major complications. Head to the ER without delay if these signs match your condition.

I am 34 years old My pancreas has been damaged
Male | 34
When the pancreas is injured, it can cause all sorts of problems. You may have terrible tummy aches, throw up a lot, and lose weight without trying to. A damaged pancreas could be the result of gallstones, or too much alcohol, or it might just run in your family. Eating well and staying away from booze is important. A gastroenterologist could prescribe some pills that would help you out and they might also recommend that you go on a special diet to make your pancreas feel better.

I am a 21 Yr old female. I'm currently dealing with abdominal and anal pain which started after I unburdened my bowel. I also vomit and it stops then start again. The pain in the abdominal area is sharp and the one at the anal area is dull.
Female | 21
These signs might be caused by a condition known as gastroenteritis which is an inflammation of the stomach or intestines. The severe pain that you are feeling in your tummy and the less severe pain in your anus could result from muscle spasms or irritation. The vomiting could happen because the body is trying to expel the irritants. It is important to keep yourself hydrated by taking small sips of water and not eating anything solid for some time. Rest well so that the healing process can take place naturally within you. In case these signs persist or become worse than before; visit a gastroenterologist immediately for further diagnosis and treatment options.

Gastritis is when the stomach lining gets inflamed, thus resulting in the symptoms of stomach pain, bloating, nausea, and vomiting. The reasons for gastritis can be stress, spicy food, alcohol, and certain medications. To help your dad feel better, have him avoid spicy and acidic foods, eat smaller meals, and try to reduce stress. Encourage him to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol. In case the symptoms persist, see a gastroenterologist for additional treatment.

Hi I am 46 years old male. I have dignous gallstones 15 days back at that time my sgpt and sgot was normal. But after 10 days I redo LFT test now Sgpt 114 and sgot 46. I want to operate gallstones. Please provide me best suggestion.
Male | 46
Gallstones can lead to discomfort, especially when a person has a fat diet. A liver enzyme SGPT and SGOT rise may indicate that the gallbladder has become overactive. Cholecystectomy is a popular and efficient method in the treatment of gallstones. It is known as a cholecystectomy and can relax your symptoms. You should consider this choice and work with your gastroenterologist to find the best treatment for your condition.

I have such a stomach ache in the morning. Like loose motion. I have gastritis too. Met an OPD doctor earlier. Then they gave me medicine to drink. Domperidone Bifilac Pantaprazole (Omeprazole) Gaviscon No recovery yet
Male | 18
A tummy ache and diarrhea can be quite uncomfortable, and gastritis can make it worse. Gastritis is when the stomach lining gets irritated, causing pain. The medicine you have should help, but it may take time. In the meantime, drink plenty of water and stick to bland, easy-to-digest foods. Rest, and if it still bothers you, visit a gastroenterologist.

Loose motion problem and accidety
Male | 32
Loose motion (diarrhea) can be caused by virus infections, food poisoning, or bad hygiene. Symptoms consist of frequent and loose stools. Acidity occurs when the stomach's acid goes up the food pipe which brings along heartburn. To manage, drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration and eat rice, bananas, and toast, which are bland foods. Avoid spicy and oily foods that can trigger acidity before having a meal. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice from a gastroenterologist.

Male | 22
Because you have blood in your stool, anal discomfort, itching, burning, and a low platelet count, you might have hemorrhoids or an anal fissure. These conditions can cause bright red blood, gas, changes in your stool, and issues with your platelet count. To feel better, try increasing your fiber intake, staying hydrated, and taking sitz baths. It's important to see a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and treatment.
