Will Vaincor 5mg (olanzapine) and Serotyl 20mg (fluoxetine) combination cause weight gain?
My therapist prescribed for me vaincor 5mg (olanzapine) and serotyl 20mg (fluoxetine) and I'm afraid that will make me gain weight. Does this combination makes me gain weight or not??

Answered on 23rd May '24
The presence of Olanzapine and Fluoxetine, the components of Vaincor, may lead to weight gain as one of the possible side effects of their joint treatment. Yet, this may not be the case for everyone. They will want to advise you to consult your psychiatrist or another medical doctor for the full evaluation and the issue of any side effects.

I am studing but it is not entering my head I am facing it for last 1 month What to do?
Male | 21
If you are feeling tired all the time, running a fever, and experiencing general bodily malaise (like muscle aches), there is a chance that what you have could be caused by some kind of virus such as influenza. The important thing for now is making sure to drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and take over-the-counter medicines for symptomatic relief. However, should none of these measures work then I would advise seeking further guidance from your doctor or another healthcare professional.

To reduce or quit excessive masturbation, gradually reduce frequency, identify triggers, and find alternative activities to occupy your time. Establish a daily routine, limit access to triggering materials, and practice relaxation techniques to manage stress. Seek support from friends or a therapist, and remember that occasional masturbation is normal. If needed, consider professional help. Breaking the habit takes time and patience, so be kind to yourself

Am fully stress and i can't sleep all night. I wand to cry i don't know the reason but i wand cry
Female | 18
That's normal - everyone experiences those feelings now and then. Stress builds up. It makes sleeping difficult and brings tears easily. That's okay though. Try opening up to someone you trust about what's bothering you. Deep breaths or listening to calm music might help too. Don't forget: taking care of your mental health matters just as much as your physical health.

Male | 27
He is at risk of developing OCD or schizophrenia. OCD involves unwanted thoughts and fears that lead to repetitive actions, such as excessive cleaning or organizing. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that distorts thoughts, feelings, and behavior, with symptoms like hearing voices or having delusions. Both conditions can be influenced by genetics and environment. OCD is typically treated with therapy and medications, while schizophrenia treatment often includes antipsychotic medications and therapy. It's important to encourage your brother to see his psychiatrist for a check-up and discuss the best treatment options for his symptoms.

can i take propranolol before parachuiting
Male | 24
I would think twice before using propranolol before parachuting. The reason for my concern is that propranolol can slow down heart rate as well as blood pressure levels. Quick blood flow is necessary for sufficient oxygen transportation in the body since parachuting involves falling from a high altitude. Taking propranolol might lead to feeling faint or light-headed. This could be highly unsafe while engaging in such an activity. Therefore, refraining from using this drug before going skydiving would be best.

All these could be symptoms of depression, which affects both the body and the mind. You may feel tired all the time, lose interest in things that used to make you happy, or even think about hurting yourself when you are depressed. These emotions should not be kept to oneself and talking to someone such as a counselor or therapist who can offer help through different methods including therapy sessions or medication might be a good start.

I have never known what am suffering from. symptoms, over sweating, anxiety disorders, trembling in public due to anxiety, panic I feel like doing something but I think of what people will talk about me, poor memory, sometimes I find my self feeling like swallowing saliva repeatedly, sometimes joint pain I don't even believe in my self And others I fail to identify
Male | 21
What you describe seems like an anxiety disorder. When people find themselves in a state of panic, their bodies can respond in a variety of ways. Symptoms can make you a little self-conscious about your colleagues' opinions, thus impairing your memory and possibly leading to pain in your joints. Listening to relaxation techniques, adding exercise to your routine, and talking with a psychiatrist might help. Anyway, you should know that you are not the only one who experiences this and there are ways to get better.
