Answered on 23rd May '24
At 5 months after knee replacement surgery, patients can expect to have significantly reduced pain and improved mobility compared to the pre-surgical state. However, complete recovery may take up to a year or more. Regular physical therapy, exercises, and follow-up appointments with the doctor are necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.

I am 30 female recently i fall down from activa and got bruises just wanted to know if it is infected or not
Female | 30
If you have any bruising and are worried about infection there are some things to look out for. An infected bruise may become more swollen, red, warm, or painful. If you notice these signs then it could be infected. Gently clean the bruise, apply a clean dressing, and keep an eye on it. If in doubt, get it looked at.

I have knee pain for last1 week i cant walk normallly and can’t straighten the knee it has pain on specific part which is inside the thigh part
Female | 18
You're dealing with a condition called a strain on your inner thigh muscles, which can lead to pain and difficulty walking. Such a thing can occur with overuse or sudden movements. To aid with the pain and support in moving forward with your healing practice, apply ice, try resting your knee, and gently stretch the muscles. If the pain doesn't go away, it is important to get help from an orthopedist.

i am a 30 year old female, every morning for the last 5 days i have been waking up and not been able to move my fingers there is no swelling but i is very painful and tight
Female | 30
You seem to have symptoms of trigger finger. In this case, the finger gets into a bent position and it becomes impossible to straighten out. I suggest you see an orthopedist who is expert in hand and wrist injuries. They will identify the problem and a corresponding treatment method.

I have been experiencing ankle pain for about three months. However with mobility, it stops hurting. There's no swelling. But when I wake up in the morning it becomes stiff snd it hurts. Eventually with some movement it stops hurting.
Female | 26
Pain in the ankle, mostly in the morning, is probably associated with arthritis, gout, or tendinitis. It is best to see an orthopedist who has the experience and capability to diagnose the condition and provide suitable treatment.

I have mild scoliosis is it treatable Is exercise is a good treatment for mild scoliosis
Male | 18
Mild scoliosis is when your spine curves sideways. This twisting condition can cause back discomfort, make one shoulder or hip higher than the other, and make you get tired faster. Exercising helps strengthen spine muscles, improving posture. So focus on stretches and strengthening moves for that curved spine. But remember, regular orthopedist checkups monitor scoliosis progress. They ensure the right steps are taken for your specific curve's treatment.

I fractured my humorous up next to my shoulder and now my wrist and hand are swollen and badly bruised. My concern to s blood poisoning
Male | 63
You might be seeking information on sepsis, which is also known as blood poisoning. The issue of swelling and contusions is not only at the site of the fracture but may also occur in the forearm and hand. Although it may be alarming, it's usually not a symptom of blood poisoning. In case your health condition is deteriorating and you're fighting such symptoms as fever, tachycardia, and disorientation, you should not waste time seeking a medical consultation. Please also remember to keep your arm above the level of your heart and put the ice on the place to keep the swelling down.

Some conditions can be resolved through rest and physical therapy. Be sure to tell your doctor what you’re experiencing, such as pain or difficulty moving. Pain in left knee. Its been a year and more now. Pain inside the knee. It gets worse when I take sprint or bend or play football.
Male | 25
Inner knee pain that worsens after running, bending, or playing football could be due to an injury like a meniscus tear or ligament damage. Try resting, applying ice, and avoiding activities that increase pain. A physical therapist can guide you through exercises to strengthen your knee and relieve pain.

I don't have any disease, I also did blood test but nothing wrong in the report but I have very little swelling in my left ankle which goes away in the morning or when I rest but comes back and also when I press my legs mid upper bone it makes a small dent ,I think it's fluid retention or high salt intake or due to heat or long sitting and standing, please suggest me because I am having anxiety due to this.
Female | 27
It's good to hear that your blood tests are normal, but the swelling in your ankle and the dent in your leg might still need attention. This could be due to fluid retention, high salt intake, or prolonged sitting and standing. I recommend visiting a general physician or a vascular specialist to rule out any underlying conditions. It's important to address your anxiety as well, and they can guide both.

I have pain in my hip or buttack and calf are pain
Male | 27
It is clear that you are suffering from pain in your hip or buttock and the calf comes along with pain. This may be because of a situation called sciatica, where the sciatic nerve gets irritated. Symptoms include shooting or burning pain. It is important to rest and not put pressure on the injured area, and the gentle stretching of the muscles to the point of pain is among the most likely options. Preventing activities that cause pain is also a good idea and consulting an orthopedic specialist for more suggestions is obligatory.

I rolled my ankle really bad 4 weeks ago almost 5. I still have inflamation and soreness, and pain. my briuises are gone but still hurts. and i have not been to a doctor.
Female | 14
You’ve sprained your ankle, and it may still be causing inflammation, soreness, and pain weeks after the injury. A sprain happens when the ligaments are stretched or torn, leading to pain and swelling. Rest your ankle, ice it, elevate it, and consider using a compression bandage. If it doesn’t improve, it’s best to see an orthopedist for advice.

I fractured my patella on 7/9/24, and was crap bandge for a week, and I had cast plaster from 15/9/24, plaster was removed on 14/10/24, knee is still swollen, can't bend knee, can't lift leg up, had x-ray, crack is still visible. The doctor said that the bone that is formed now cannot be seen on xray, after three months xray will not show the cracks.
Male | 32
You have a fractured patella. Common symptoms include swelling and difficulty bending or lifting your leg. A visible fracture line on the X-ray means the bone is still healing. Over time, the bone will become stronger, and the cracks will disappear. Continue resting your knee, doing gentle exercises, and consult your orthopedist for guidance. The healing process takes time, but you will recover.
