I have grinding in my right shoulder (dominant arm) along with accompanying pain at some times. Last year I was playing basketball and after a few weeks of playing some games I developed a pain in said shoulder. I let the pain fade on its own and discovered the grinding (like a bone on bone contact) in my shoulder. I would like to know if it could be serious and if at this point I could do anything about it. I am an athlete and have had tendinitis in my Achilles tendon (ankle) if that helps anything.

Treatment generally will be physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medication if required surgery but if there is weakness, difficulty in walking, or numbness, then it's a medical emergency. S1 shows partial lumbarization. This is indicative of an unusual section of your back. It may be responsible for the pain you feel in your lower back. If a bone does not go the way it is supposed to, it will join another bone and cause an immovable joint which is what S1 - S2 bilateral sacroiliitis refers to. If there is no sudden fracture then there is none. Try to have some rest; take mild painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen which can be bought over the counter at any pharmacy near you then after doing all this if it doesn’t work out fine consult a physiotherapist who will provide appropriate therapy for relief apart from doing exercises that are not too strenuous.
