You can wait for around 8-9 months for recovery. In the meantime do passive ankle movements and get a neurological opinion done. If no improvement then tendon transfers or other surgeries are the options.

Answered on 23rd May '24
First we need to know the etiology. If its a treatable cause, all we need do is wait and also habe a foot drop splint to prevent equinus deformity.
For Cases where recovery is doubtful. surgery is a good option to lead a better quality of life. tendon transfers and ankle fusion are the common surgeries performed

I started having muscle pain/ache in my outer right hip area a day after I changed my everyday footwear a week ago. Pain is dull and bearable but irritating. It usually starts when walking and tends to go away slowly when sitting in a relaxed sitting position. Sometimes it also starts when sleeping. I'm not taking any medication of any kind. I'm underweight due to my lifestyle and eating habits.
Male | 24
It seems that you have muscle pain on the outside right hip region. This pain could have been caused by changing shoes. Muscles can ache if they are tense or strained. In addition, if you are too thin, your muscles may easily get tired. Put on supportive footwear, stretch gently and take a good diet so that your muscles can heal. Also, make sure to rest and avoid activities that worsen the ache.

You might be experiencing a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome, which could be causing the dent in your hand and the pain you're feeling. The pain could be due to a knee injury, so rest your knee and avoid putting weight on it. Consult an orthopedist and take pain medications as prescribed. And keep applying ice. If the pain persists or worsens keep your knee elevated and use crutches or a knee brace if you need to move around.

Hi Ma'am, I am Deepanshu Chaudhary (Age 24 years). I have had pain in my hip since the past 2-3 months. It became minimum when I did physiotherapy sessions but it came back again. I consulted an orthopedic surgeon with an Xray and he suggested me to do an HLA B27 test which came out to be borderline positive. I am confused and worried about this test result. Also my next consultation with him is tomorrow which is why I am getting a bit anxious about my condition and the result. I wanted to know whether this a serious problem or not
Male | 24 years
I know you are worried about the HLA B27 test result which showed a borderline positive. This test is associated with diseases such as ankylosing spondylitis which can lead to hip pain. Some of the symptoms are painful and stiff hip areas. The remedy is a further check-up by an orthopedist to choose the best way.
