Minor Achilles tendon injuries heal on their own. Your self care routine can follow these steps
- Resting your leg
- Icing your injury
- Compressing your leg
- Raise (elevate) your leg
You can also take anti-inflammatory painkillers and practice light stretching and strengthening exercises. Doctors may recommend a surgery if your Achilles is torn.

Enlargement of heels bone as per previous dr your suggestion
Female | 32
Acupuncture offers relief from chronic heel spurs and has proven record in treating calcaneal spur.
Extra bone tissue known as heel spurs which develop due to over stress of the foot can cause pain in back of heel. Electro Acupuncture points, Moxibustion, Acupressure and seed therapy have shown great relief in heel pain and inflammation. Also correction in the enlargement of heel bone is observed as the acupuncture treatment is taken on regular basis. I.e. 2-3 sessions weekly continued for a period of 1-2 months."

Hello my name is pradeep and my age is 24. Actually I am 130 kg with no medical history. But few weeks back I got back pain suddenly I started talking one pain killer it's better now but I just want to ask can I go to water theme park with little back pain or i should avoid it?
Male | 24
If you've had sudden back pain and have been taking pain medication, it might be best to consult a doctor before going to a water theme park. Certain activities there could worsen your back pain. If you decide to go, opt for gentler attractions and listen to your body to avoid discomfort.

My mother's leg has been swollen for almost a year since she started sitting at the shop, but when she stays at home the swelling goes away...why
Female | 45
Your mom may have peripheral edema, which can cause swelling in her legs. For example, sitting still for too long can cause fluid to accumulate in her legs, leading to swelling. This happens because sitting reduces blood circulation. When she's at home and moving around, the swelling reduces because movement helps the fluid flow back up. Encouraging her to take short walks or do leg exercises while at the shop can help reduce the swelling.

It is swollen, isolated bruising on the ankle bone and sore to touch this part. Am abke to bear small amounts of weight into the joint however flexing and twisting the ankle is very painful

This could indicate a serious ankle injury, possibly a fracture. It's crucial to seek immediate medical attention to determine the extent of the damage and receive proper treatment. Rest, elevate your leg, and apply ice in the meantime, but prioritize getting medical help as soon as possible for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.

I have knee pain for last1 week i cant walk normallly and can’t straighten the knee it has pain on specific part which is inside the thigh part
Female | 18
You're dealing with a condition called a strain on your inner thigh muscles, which can lead to pain and difficulty walking. Such a thing can occur with overuse or sudden movements. To aid with the pain and support in moving forward with your healing practice, apply ice, try resting your knee, and gently stretch the muscles. If the pain doesn't go away, it is important to get help from an orthopedist.

I'm a 18 year old female and I've been having cramps in my left hand, mainly from elbow under to wrist and my fingers feel kind of stiff. It happened for the first time 3/4 days ago and went away automatically in about 20 mins. It happened twice today and again went on it's own. Nothing done to trigger it. A bit of neck pain. Have generalised anxiety disorder and currently tapering off of Paxidep 12.5 . The cramps kind of feel like weakness and dull ache. I can't call it painful as it does not cause pain but a bit uncomfortable.

Knee pain while climbing stairs other than there is no pain in knee I don't use any medications also don't have my past injury....I felt pain for past 4 days while climbing stairs only ..... My weight 75 kg height 160 cm
Female | 33
This may occur when there is a sudden increase in physical activity which puts stress on these joints. Rest the knee, put some ice on it, and avoid anything that makes the pain worse for a few days. If the pain continues after this time then I would advise speaking with an orthopedist.

Hi, I'm a 22 year old male with back pain, I've been to doctors loads of times for the past 7-8 months but all they been telling me is to take pain killers and exercise, ive had a MRI scan which showed L5-S1 left subarticular disc protrusion and L4-5 facet joint arthropathies is that right for them to keep telling me to exercise?
Male | 22
The MRI scan reveals a disc disorder, along with an ache from the facet joint. Workouts can make your muscles healthier and render them more flexible, which is very helpful when managing the pain. You really must stick to the exercise plan of the physiotherapist without fail to reduce the damage caused. Painkillers are one way of pain relief, but the long-term solution comes from exercise, and maybe a few more such treatments like physical therapy depending on the severity of the problem.

Why do my feet swall up every day
Female | 24
You're experiencing daily swelling in your feet, which could be due to several reasons. This might happen from sitting or standing too long, consuming too much salt, lack of physical activity, or an underlying issue like heart or kidney problems. To reduce the swelling, try elevating your feet, staying active, and cutting down on salty foods. Discuss this with an orthopedist for further advice.

I have been having pain below my left knee cap where the patella tendon is and I am thinking I have jumper knee. I work on Concrete floor all day. I have been having thing pain for a week now.
Male | 21
You may be dealing with patellar tendonitis - or “jumper’s knee”. This is typically caused by the tendon below your kneecap becoming inflamed due to activities such as standing all day on hard surfaces. Common signs include pain beneath the kneecap that worsens when moving. The upside is that taking some time off, using ice packs, and doing some light stretching exercises can help relieve discomfort. If the pain persists, visit an orthopedist.

I have low back pain for 16 days now. It started mild at first – first seven days and it hurt when I sit down. When I stood, pain almost completely went away or when I lay down. Later, I had spasms in my back for a couple of days and I wasn't mobile for a while. Now I'm but I feel dull ache in the lower back. When I bend over, I need to be careful. Pain is localized and it's not radiating. I don't have any other symptoms.
Female | 29
Back pain is often caused by muscle strain. It occurs when muscles are overstretched by heavy lifting or quick movements. If bending over hurts, that likely indicates a strained muscle. To ease the discomfort, apply ice packs and do gentle stretching exercises. However, avoid any strenuous activities that strain your back further. If the pain persists, visit an orthopedist.

Sir mein jab 10 year ka tha tabhi mera hand ka elbow tut gaya tha abhi mein 18 saal ka hun mera elbow deformity problem hei kaise thik kare kabhi kabhi bahot dard hota hei kisiko dikhana mein bhi saram ata hei lekin mera hand bilkul sidha hei lekin elbow ke upar ke gebu ke type kuch hua hei kya kare
Male | 18
Most probably the problem you’re having is as a result of a broken elbow at the age of ten years old. This can cause the joint to be deformed hence uncomfortable. You should therefore see an orthopedic surgeon who will examine your situation and give a suitable prescription for treatment. Depending on how serious the deformity, they can propose some physiotherapy exercises or even surgery.

I am 60 Years old( I have diabetics) and I am having bad leg pull and lower back pain from past few days. My ankles and thumb are a bit swollen. This will remain for few days and go after a good rest/ or take a DOLO 650. This will return after few days. There are no other complaints.
Female | 60
These symptoms may be related to your diabetes, which can cause nerve damage and poor blood circulation, leading to pain and swelling in the legs and feet. While DOLO 650 can provide temporary relief, managing your diabetes is key to preventing these issues. Follow your treatment plan, maintain healthy blood sugar levels, and exercise regularly to improve circulation. Remember to elevate your legs when resting and wear light shoes to reduce swelling. If the pain persists or worsens, see an orthopedist.
