How much for L4&L5 spine surgery?
L4&L5 spine operation totally amount
Joint Replacement Surgeon
Answered on 12th Sept '24
You are referring to an operation on the L4 and L5 spine. These two areas are a part of your lower back. Sometimes people might need an operation there if they have severe back pain, weakness in the legs, or numbness. This is usually the cause of the herniated disc which presses on the nerves in the spine. The operation can help relieve the pressure on the nerves and thus, reduce the pain and other symptoms. It's good to discuss with a spine surgeon if this operation is the right choice for you.

Why does my achilles tendon hurt after running?
Achilles tendinitis is caused by repetitive or intense strain on the Achilles tendon, the band of tissue that connects your calf muscles to your heel bone. This tendon is used when you walk, run, jump or push up on your toes.
The structure of the Achilles tendon weakens with age, which can make it more susceptible to injury — particularly in people who may participate in sports only on the weekends or who have suddenly increased the intensity of their running programs.

Take medicine for leg pain 10 days. After that 3 or 4 days when eat food feeling nausea and fatigue.. don't know after effect medicine or not when eat lunch rice feel fatigue and nausea
Male | 65
If your belly feels upset after taking medicine for leg pain, that's normal. Nausea and tiredness can occur due to certain drugs. When you consume lunch and feel ill, your body reacts to the medication. Ensure hydrating well and eating smaller, lighter meals until you feel better.

I am 18 year old Girl suffering from lower back pain for 3 years My latest MRI report says i have slip disk problem the medicine i am taking is working as painkillers only the pain is insufferable... Its will be good to know your thoughts on my condition.
Female | 18
I'm sorry to hear about your pain. Slip disc can cause severe discomfort, and painkillers only provide temporary relief. It's important to consult an orthopedic doctor or a spine specialist for a thorough evaluation and proper treatment plan. They can guide you on exercises, lifestyle changes, or other therapies to manage your condition effectively.

I have pain in both hands(3 inches above and below the elbows) and legs(5 inches above and below the knees). Not bone pain as I feel good if I try to restrict my blood flow. I always wear knee and elbow caps for pain relief. As far I remember I'm suffering from this pain for almost 13-14 years. Currently, I'm 20 years, I'm was being told it was due to the growing stage. Earlier I had vitamin D level 7 but now it is 30 but still, the pain is not gone. I have pain almost daily, I will feel lucky I don't have pain that particular day. If I walk for long or stand or play, or do something intense then the intensity of the pain will be unbearable sometimes due to pain I can't even sleep at night. In my test report, I have everything normal. Tests I have done so far are ASO TITRE, Anti-Nuclear, CPR, HLA B profile, Anti-CCP, Phosphorus, CPK, URIC ACID, CALCIUM, GLUCOSE, VITAMIN D AND B-12, THS, CBC, Alkaline Phosphate, Potassium, LDH, Magnesium.

i’m 21 years old and about a week or two ago i started having wrist pains and whenever i tried to sit up (i push myself up to sit up with my hands like a 90° angle) and it was to the point i couldn’t put ANY type of pressure on it. i don’t have a wrist splint but i’ve used those stretching, skin colored wrapping bandages which have helped a bit so i can definitely sit up way easier but now the pain is mostly just at the top of the wrist when i actually bend it more forward than i usually would when my hands are like a 90° angle when i sit up. i’m assuming it’s carpal tunnel but i don’t have insurance nor money to pay to go to a doctors office/urgent care :/
Female | 21
You're sensing friction in your wrist probably because of wear and tear. Carpal tunnel syndrome mainly causes numbness and tingling of the fingers but not just pain in the wrist. Repetitive movements and/or bad wrist positioning can cause this type of discomfort. To help, give your wrists some time out, avoid the stuff that makes the pain worse, and wear wrist support if needed. If the pain doesn't go away or gets worse, go to an orthopedist.

I have a twitch in my middle finger. Right hand.
Female | 27
Finger twitches usually aren't serious issues. They often occur due to fatigue, anxiety, consuming too much caffeine, or lack of sleep. The right middle finger's twitch is annoying but typically harmless. Consider getting more rest, relaxing, reducing coffee intake, and sleeping enough hours. However, if this persists beyond a week, consulting an orthopedic specialist might be advisable.

I am a 17-year-old female who is recovering from a mild knee ligament stretch. I had a splint for 2 weeks and had been recovering for over a month. Yesterday, I played badminton because my knee felt good. However, I had an awkward fall and twisted my knee. It hurt at first, but I can walk and climb stairs relatively normally. It hurts when I fully straighten my knee or tighten it. There is no buckling of the knee. The pain is a little achey and a little dull. I don't know which one exactly. What should I do? Is it okay if I resume normal activities, but just be more careful and elevate my leg when I sit or lie down?
Female | 17
You might have twisted your knee again while playing badminton. Aching dull pain when you try to straighten or tighten your knee could mean the ligament has been pulled too hard. It’s great that you can still walk and go upstairs. To let it get better, you should rest as much as possible, put your leg up from time to time, and avoid doing anything too hard for a while.

I am 20 year old man, suffering with lower back pain beside either sides of spine. I've been lifting weights for quite a while now, recently whilst I was performing my deadlift (I hit it heavy past my capability)with a very bad posture and I heard a "chik" sound from my back the sound was negotiably light, but the actual pain started from there, as I'm a computer science student I'll have to sit on PC for hours...this problem has now limited my mobility and when I bend at certain angles it hurts like it wont allow me to bend and it even happens when i sit on same position for hours.... I've done several stretches and applied move creams for 2 3 days consecutively yet no difference... What should I do this problem is very annoying..
Male | 20
The incident that caused the sound you heard could be a muscle contraction or ligament stress. This phenomenon is a very frequent case when the back gets overloaded, and for that reason, the kinks distribute the pain to your left and right sides. Trying to alleviate the problem, in this case, applying ice packs and performing gentle stretches can be the best ones. However, if the pain persists, consult an orthopedist for further evaluation.

Female | 46
Some conditions can be resolved through rest and physical therapy. Be sure to tell your doctor what you’re experiencing, such as pain or difficulty moving. Knowing the cause of the problem can help determine whether or not an operation is required. You must follow the advice of your physician regarding the most appropriate treatment for yourself.

hi. i have extreme joint pain in all my joints. i have anxiety and depression too. please help me
Female | 24
Having severe pain in all joints, worries, and low mood could mean rheumatoid arthritis. This happens when your immune system fights your joints by mistake, causing swelling and pain. It's crucial to consult an orthopedist for proper tests. They'll explore treatments like medicines and counseling to control symptoms, allowing a better life quality.

I have broken a bone in my hand which was hit a month ago, but even after a month, the bone is not joint. There is also a plaster bandage on the hand.
Male | 27
It may take longer for the bone to heal if it has not done so after four weeks. Factors such as blood supply or movement at the site of the fracture can cause this. While you should keep the plaster cast on and avoid using the hand too much, it would also be best to visit an orthopedist again so that they can offer further advice on how to care for and ensure proper healing of the bone.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my doctor as no other condition fits the symptoms. However I don’t believe it is correct as my pain areas are constant and not sore to touch. When I touch the pain area the pain is relieved. I have pain around my forehead, neck, traps on both sides. Then on the right side my lat, glute, hamstring and calf. I am fatigued all the time, muscles are either tensed or not activating. I’ve had this same pain every waking hour for 6 years. Does anyone know what this condition actually is?
Male | 31
According to the symptoms that you have mentioned, the most likely diagnosis to your muscle pain and fatigue is Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Which produces muscle pain and tenderness, similar to fibromyalgia, is among the symptoms of this condition. Muscles' trigger point gets developed, causing pain in different areas due to the compression against the nerves. The muscle would then become loosened up or weaker. The key features of this disorder include physical therapy sessions, injections of trigger point pressure, and a certain kind of drug guidance to manage stress.

Female | 33
A perineural cyst can hurt sometimes. These fluid-filled sacs grow near lower back nerves. They cause back pain, leg pain, numbness. The exact reason is unclear, but old injuries or genes may cause them. Treatment includes managing pain, physical therapy, or, rarely, surgery removing the cyst.
